Game of Thrones Walkthrough Part 56 – Alester – A New Hope, Part 10

Objective: “Go into the Tunnels under Riverspring to find the documents that Lord Harlton needs.”
No matter how you got the key(s), Alester must return to Raynald's study to use it. Use the Master Key or the 7 keys collected from around the castle. Go through the door that is behind the first to access the tunnels Raynald used as a hiding spot.

Objective: “Search the underground tunnels to find the documents.”
The good news about the coming section is there are no fights. What is coming is, instead, a test of wits and intellect. Head down the stairs to the South then turn to the East to find a chest and the door into the next part of the catacombs. Look to the right of the door to find a mechanism which is the key to opening the door.

This is the first part of the puzzle of the room. It will give you a series of questions:
“Some are red with blood, others are brown from rust. What color is the Sarwyck sword?”
The answer is simple: Whitewashed.

“An old sword for a peasant, Valyrian steel for the hero. How is a Sarwyck's sword described?”
Answer: Broken

“Warriors keep it by their side, assassins hide it in their coat. Where does a Sarwyck keep is sword?”
Answer: On his sigil

That was the first puzzle. Head through to the next room. Pause as you reach the first bend in the corridor. Investigate the Northern corner to find some intriguing inscriptions. After that, continue to the East. Be sure to explore the offshoots from the passage as one has some armor tucked away in the back portion of it. As you head through this passage you will notice that there are inscriptions that show a particular number of symbols. This is the key to the next puzzle in the room. Just note what symbol is in the grid and how many of them there are. When you reach the next chamber it is time to put that knowledge to use.

Around the chamber you will notice there are 7 stone turnstiles. If you were noting the symbols, just look at the number of them. They arrange from 1 to 7. As to what turnstile is which, look to the left of it. You will see a carving of a circle with a particular number of dots. Below is a list that shows the number and gives a description of the symbol needed.

1 – Hydra (1 twist)
2 – Fire (5 twists)
3 – Blood Splatter (6 twists)
4 – Iron Throne (7 twists)
5 – 3 Swords (3 twists)
6 – Raven (2 twists)
7 – Seven Point Star (4 twists)

Once you have all the symbols set up, head over to the lever just off from the center of the room. Give it a pull to open the floor up and reveal the next part of the path. This will take you down to the meeting room of the Shadow Council itself.
