Dragon Age Origins Walkthrough Part 29– Brecilian Forest Sidequests, Part 2

East Brecilian Forest
Head North at the intersection near the center of the Eastern Forest. There you will find a tombstone with wards around it. Disturb the wards to gain the side quest “The Mage's Treasure”. Understand that interacting with the tombstone summons a Revenant which is a hard fight.

Lost to the Curse
Take the Northeastern entrance into the East Brecilian Forest. Past the first werewolf group you will find Danyla. Agree to kill her and she will give you her scarf. This can be traded to the hermit to acquire goods from him or it can be return to her husband back in camp.

The Mage's Treasure
This quest has you gathering 4 pieces of armor to complete the Juggernaut Armor Set. They are scattered throughout the Forest and it takes a bit of time to collect all 4 pieces. Just with a careful playthrough it is very easy to collect the 4 pieces.

Juggernaut Helm
West Brecilian Forest: In the Eastern part of the Forest you can find an Ancient Tombstone that is warded. You can only disturb the Wards once the Quest has been started. Understand that doing so unleashes a Revenant to fight.

Juggernaut Gloves
East Brecilian Forest: In the clearing just beyond the Magical Barrier. You will find a Tombstone almost straight through from the barrier. Interact with the tombstone there to engage a Revenant in battle. This can be compounded by the other monsters you need to fight in the area.

Juggernaut Boots
East Brecilian Forest: Head to the Northernmost point of the map. You will find an Ancient Tombstone among the pillars in the area. Interact with it to trigger a tough fight to get the boots.

Juggernaut Armor
The Elven Tombs (The Lower Ruins): This is perhaps the most complex one of the whole set. This is done as part of the side quest “The Elven Ritual”. It is found in the room with a small pool that has an earthen jug inside it. The proper ritual is:
1 – Take  the Earthen Jug from the Fountain
2 – Fill  the Earthen Just with Water
3 – Leave the Pool alone
4 – Place the filled Earthen Jug on the Altar
5 – Kneel before the altar and pray
6 – Examine the Earthen Jug on the Altar
7 – Take a single sip of water from the Earthen Jug
8 – Take the Earthen Jug
9 – Leave the Altar alone
10 – Dump the remaining water from the Earthen Jug into the Fountain.

This leads to 2 fights. The first is with a number of Skeletal Archers in the middle of the room. After that it is on to taking on the “ghost” of the boy's mother. She summons a number of Greater Shades and comes after you.

The Brecilian Ruins
Lower Ruins: The Arcane Warrior (Available during “Nature of the Beast”)
Found in the middle area of the map. In the left section of the 2 outstretching quarters. Inside this room you are looking for the Broken Stone Altar in the darkened portions of the room. Opposite it you will find a headless stone statue. Explore around here to find a Phylactery that contains the soul of the last Elven Arcane Warrior. He will offer to teach you the ways of the Arcane Warrior if you shatter the phylactery by placing it on the Broke Stone Altar. Here is the best course of action to get the specialization:
1 – Touch the Gem.
2 – Is this some kind of trapped spirit?
3 – Is there anything I can do for you?
4 – Yes. I will try to help you.
5 – Approach the stone altar with the gem.
6 – Yes, give me your memories.
7 – Place the artifact on the stone altar.
