Metal Gear Rising Walkthrough Part 7 – R-01: Coup D'etat (Barricade to Ranked Battle 6)

Head forward to the barricade and collect the launcher to the right of the gate access. To get through the barricade Raiden needs to collect the properly Left Hand from the Platoon Leader. Turn around and start back toward where you came from. If you move quick enough you can make it to your destination without any immediate extra combat. Your target is ahead on the left, where you grabbed the EMP Grenade, behind the sandbags and the APC. If you are a bit slower or move around the wrong way you have 3 Cyborgs to deal with. Thankfully they are isolated from the rest so you can kill them without alerting the others.

Head over to the target, which can be located easily with AR mode. Now move in on him and perform a Ninja Kill. Immediately slice off his left hand then go for a Zandatsu finish. Just be sure that you do not do any more damage to the left hand than needed to remove it. Begin this  by shiftig your  perspective over to the left some and get a clean slice through your target limb. After that, go for the rest as a normal Zandatsu finish. From there you can deal with the rest of the soldiers without much difficulty at all.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               It is at this point you can return to where you fought the Hammerhead to trigger a "Hidden" Ranked Battle, #5

Ranked Battle: 3 Sliders and Cyborg
Hopefully, prior to getting to the barricade you went over the Hammerhead area and collected the 3 Homing Rockets found there. They are your best friends for this fight. Head to the center of the Hammerhead arena to trigger this fight. Now, quickly aim at the Slider on the left and loose a rocket at it. Quick turn to the right and aim at the second Slider. Blast it with a Rocket just after it drops the cyborg. Now run to the Northern part of the arena and hide behind one of the pillars. This will lure the final Slider to Raiden for a quick kill and let him move in toward the cyborg after the Slider at minimal risk. This should allow for a No Damage bonus with ease. It is very easy to restart this fight by choose "Restart" after having gotten the left arm Raiden needs to clear the Barricade.

With the "Hidden" fight concluded, take a moment to check over for any remaining loot then head to the North. Get through the Barricade and you will be moving into the next Ranked Battle.

Ranked Battle 6: Armored Cyborg and 4 Cyborgs
Focus immediately on the armored Cyborg. These are hardy foes and different from what you have been fighting so far. They can match Raiden's parries and respond with their own. These parry matches can last up to 8 instances on Revengeance Difficulty. Otherwise, take advantage of everthing you have and loose a rocket or two on the Armored Cyborg to weaken his armor. Close in after that and use blade mode to sever any weakened limbs. This has the advantage of stopping him from parrying and makes for an easier kill. Take him out then go for as many combined kills as possible on the rest of the Cyborgs. There are only 2 additional cyborgs initially. After they go down, 2 more will appear from the fountain. Finish them off and you are free to enter into the Hotel.

After the fight head to the far side of the fountain. Raiden can find a Rocket Launcher there to add to his collection.
