Candy Crush is an extremely popular game currently being played on mobile devices, tablets and desktops. Level 33 is one of the first true tests many players will continually fail at for reasons that can be avoided. This article is meant to provide some tips to beginners to avoid a week of being stuck on the same level.
First, to provide a little context, this board has 4 main sections measuring 4x4 each for 16 candies total. The goal is to remove the jelly in the middle 4 spaces TWO times - 32 jellies to be removed total. This has to be accomplished in 14 moves!
Now onto the tips...
1) Start at the bottom first - There are a few reasons for this. The most obvious one is that you need to clear all of the jellies, and since the candies come from the top, the layout of the bottom will stay relatively the same (thus if you use most of your turns to clear the top of the board, you're not likely to win). The deeper reason is that if you use all of the easy combinations on the upper section, you're just going to end up with a bunch of mis-matched candies, asking your friends for more lives. Let those easy combos fall to the bottom, and create that waterfall!
2) Understand the consequences of each move - Here more than ever it is extremely important to see what your next move will do to the board. As this is such a tough level, every move is going to count, and wasting even 1 to undo a bad move will leave you disappointed. The countdown from 14 starts with that first flick of the finger!
3) Shoot to eliminiate at least 2 jellies with EVERY move - While this may seem like a lot, remember that you're going to need to get rid of over 2 jellies per move to get by this board. Thinking back to tip #1, if you eliminate jellies at the bottom, some at the top may inadvertantly get removed, helping you eliminate 2, 4, or even SIX jellies.
Tips, Tricks and Strategies to Beat Candy Crush Saga4) Don't touch the left side when working on the right side (and vice versa) - Seriously, if you get a horizontally striped candy, use with extreme caution. The board is typically set up for a reason, and by messing with even 1 row on the side that you're not working on, you can mess up any chance you have of winning. This caution goes away, of course, if you're already stuck on the side that would be affected.
5) Be patient - Know that some board setups are impossible to beat, regardless of how far you look ahead or how long you take playing. It may take you a few tries to get by this board, and a few requests for more lives. If you follow the advice above though, you'll be in much better shape for success.
