This becomes available after you complete the first Death Race. The timer is lowered to 2 minutes to complete the race. Hop into your Light Runner and get ready to slam the pedal hard to the metal. That reduction is time is about the limit you can handle without the Afterburner Artifact.

Tier 2: The Death Race
When you are ready to start, just head to the starting line for the race. You will have 2:00 to complete all the objectives once you start so be ready for it. Start by simply getting to the line and waiting for the count down. After that, start by staying on the road. Run over the midget and shoot whatever happens to cross your line of fire.

Once you are through the second marker start looking over to the right for a ramp. Without the Afterburner Artifact this little shortcut is a huge help as it just cuts you straight through to the third marker. From there just get back on the round. It looks like a second lap is in order.

Stay on the road and head for the next marker. It is under the first pole again so head over there in a hurry. You need to over the whole track a second time. This time there are a lot more bikers out after you. Fight who you want to or need to. Otherwise just focus on driving. It does not take too much to take out some of them but you can only spare so much time toward fighting. After that you just need to make it back on over the track to the finishing line and complete the race.

Tier 3: The Death Race
When you are ready to start, just head to the starting line for the race. You will have 1:45 to complete all the objectives once you start so be ready for it. For this race, unlike the others, the Afterburner Artifact is required as you simply cannot get boost long enough.

Start by simply getting to the line and waiting for the count down. After that, switch on the boost and hit the road. Run over the midget if he gets in your way and shoot whatever happens to cross your line of fire.
