Dead Island: Riptide Walkthrough Part 17 – Sidequests – Rescue Missions, Part 2

Rescue Tyler
Taylor is one of the first rescues you can pull off from the boat. If you have the mission, “White Line” from Brian in Halai, you will be just on the other side of the river from where this poor soul is. If you do not have this mission it is still simple enough once you have the boat. Starting from Marik's Marina, go forward, underneath the bridge. Go to the left then take the second turn on the right. Take that all the way North and look around. You should have little trouble finding Tyler.

With all the grief the floaters are giving you to add a rescue mission in on top of that does not seem too bad. Just use the boat to ram whichever ones you can and get out of the boat when you cannot and take the rest down with your Fury. When it is safe, climb up the ladder to reach Tyler who will give you a good cash reward.

Rescue Megan
Megan is found in the jungle in the tree houses that dot the Western portion of the water ways. Just head to the West from Mataka Village and look for a trio of tree houses. She is found in the Eastern most one. There are only a few Walkers threatening her. As you are in a boat, ram through them and then back on through to mop them up.

With the zombies cleared head on up the ladder and talk with Megan. She is very grateful and gives a nice cash reward.

Rescue Kitty
Kitty is found in the Southeastern part of Halai Village along the way to Ocean View Bungalows. The zombies coming after her are more in the water at the base of the ladder that leads up to her. It does not help that there are plenty of the zombies in the area that you need to deal with just finding the rest of the ones that are attacking Kitty. The saving grace, though you need to be fast, is there is a Suicider in the horde of zombies. Get a good shot off on him and the rest are gone before you can blink.

Once the horde has been cleared climb up the pair of ladder to reach Kitty. Look around her to find some Pain killers for the continual quest. Just talk with her to finish it out and get your reward.

Rescue Mugambe
If you head to the end of the main from North of Halai Village, to Zimakani Rest, you will find Mugambe. He is hiding up on on top of his trailer. This zombie pack includes a Thug so be careful when dealing with it. If you can get a car in on the deal, life is a lot easier. Otherwise the best thing to do is unleash your Fury and take down everyone you can or just focus it in on the Thug then the remaining forces.

When you finish off the pack then you can climb up onto the Trailer and talk with Mugambe. He will need to leave in search of his family but first he will give you a very nice cash reward for saving his life.
