The Last Of Us Walkthrough Part 10 – Chapter 3: The Outside (The Trenches)

You are on the other side of the shutter now and there is another patrol to deal with. Follow Tess to avoid the worst of the patrols. Run from the ruined building to the car to the husk of the tank. From there finish crossing the tree to get to the next building. En route you will be able to grab a brick or find one near where you stop. Be sure to grab it as you need something to distract the guards inside. Now, throw the brick through the window it lands between the soldiers outside the building. Take care to avoid being spotted. It takes a good bit of ammo to fight soldiers and you have very little of it.

Continue on past the building to the next one. Head on through the hole in the wall that you see to the right of the car wreck. Go on through there and keep on the lookout for another soldier. If you see one, throw the brick away from your present location as far past the soldier as you can. From there just head on forward and drop into the next ravine you see ahead of you. It has a few ledges so it takes a minute to get all the way down as there are numerous ledges on the way.

At the bottom of the ravine head to the right and start crawling into the drainage pipe you see underneath the fluttering yellow caution tape. This will lead you right into the next building you want to enter. Go on up the stairs to the right. At the top immediately turn to the left and head over to the hole in the wall.

When you make it to the other side of the hole and are starting in the next trench move on forward but keep to the left. There are soldiers above that are about to leave and you do not want to be spotted. Once the light leaves the area run forward along the trench and into the basement of the building. Slow to a walk and look along the left-hand side to find a pair of open double doors. Head on through them and start on over to the right.

Look around here to find some parts on the desk that sits on the right-hand side of the room. After that look on the opposite side of the room to find more supplies. When you have found everything you can from that room head on out the double-doors and start on up the slope through the massive hole opposite the doors. Go into the pipe heading to the left and you will find yourself in some of the drainage that runs throughout the city. Just cross through the deeper area and over to the far side and open the gate after you climb out of the deep water. A cutscene runs between the little group of Smugglers. Joel is not very happy about any of this though Tess seems cautiously optimistic about it. Ellie gets what is going on and is hardly happy with Joel or her circumstance but will push on. Time to start on through the downtown area of this city.
