Prime World: Challenge Mode Explained

Prime World

Prime World

In preparation of one of their beta weekends, the brains behind the upcoming MOBA game Prime World have released a unique map - and gave everyone the opportunity to participate. The so-called Challenge Mode is a welcome change from any run-of-the-mill team battle. Here, you only get to play with people instead of against them. And if you have had enough of keeping up with your friends or being exposed to nasty flame wars, you can also play on your own. When the guys and gals over at Nival mentioned that Prime World would also feature a single-player option, this is exactly what they meant.
Things to look out for
  • Town Sigil: This glyph appears near flags and helps you repair your towers.
  • Flags: They are located along the pathways and fill up your artifact when captured.
  • Towers: Defend them with your life, because they will assist you in killing spawns.
  • Teleports: In this game mode, teleports have a shorter cool-down than usual.

This is your nemesis.

Your base is located in the center of the map. This is quite unusual, as the typical MOBA design usually has strongholds in opposite corners. Your cherished artifact can be found at the heart of your base, and pretty much anything you do charges it. Once it is filled up, it explodes and closes off one of the pathways leading to your fortress. Manage to block all paths but one and the end boss will appear, challenging you to the ultimate duel. You win the match by successfully beating the dragon.
