Iron Man

(Innate): 35% of the damage dealt from abilities is converted into a temporary absorption shield. Shield generation is only half as effective against minions and monsters. Maximum shield strength is 90 + (30 × level). The shield decays by 3% per second.

A metal shield to tank and deal damage!

This shield helps you the entire game. Pushing will be faster and easier in the early stage of the game when you don't have enough AP to one shot waves with your E and Q. It's also a good way to play agressively with the armour and magic resist bonuses.

The ultimate that makes Mordekaiser so strong !

 

You can use it depending on several situations. If you are in trouble and your shield can't tank damage, if you are facing death, just use your ultimate to instantly regenerate some HP. Moreover, with a Hextech Revolver you can count on an incredible heal and have a greater chance of survival.

 

If you have DFG (DeathFire Grasp), you can count on a huge burst and one shot the AD Carry. Yes you can admit that he will be the main target in Team Fights. DFG + E + Ultimate + Ignite => He will surely be dead.

Mordekaiser is an excellent pusher and can move easily on the other lanes to help your mates or to farm in the jungle.

His shield provides a powerful advantage during the laning phase then in teamfights it increase his sustain.

With a DFG, he's got an awful burst and can OS any carry.

His ultimate makes him interesting and can reverse games alone.

Mordekaiser is a farm machine, women and money are yours!

Cons

Unfortunately Mordekaiser is one of the AP carry who has NO escape and must really on Flash.

 

He doesn't have any crowd crontrol, a Rylai is required to have some.

 

If you fight against a range or poke champion during the laning phase, it will be hard to keep your shield on.

 

Your positioning is very important and not easy during teamfights because you will be one of the targets.
