CoinOp Heroes 2 justlaunched and, like all clickers, it's dangerously addictive stuff.
You have to furiously tap your screen to defeat wave after wave of foes and earn an insane amount of cash to spend on character upgrades and an army of minions.
Each of these minions can also be upgraded - so much so that, eventually, you won't really have to play the game anymore as they'll defeat all foes for you.
We've clicked away like no other to bring you this guide to building a deadly army of automatic warriors.
Plan a methodical upgrade system for your minions
Tapping to turn all foes into pixel dust is incredibly fun but the main bulk of the game is in character and minion upgrades.
Now, there's an element of strategy to the upgrade system in CoinOp Heroes 2, and multiple ways to approach it.
In terms of minion upgrades, we'd recommend you try and spend an even amount across all minions to keep their DPS relatively balanced. You can only have four of these fighting at any one time but can swap them at any point so this system will give you a regular boost in total DPS.
The other method is to choose your favourite four minions and spend all of your cash on boosting them. This will result in having stronger minions at any one time but you'll also have to wait longer between upgrades.
But only upgrade your main character if you need to
Character upgrades, on the other hand, depend on a couple of different things. If you're an active player you'll want to spend a lot of money on boosting your character as the DPS from your taps will always be far greater than that of your army.
However, if you're an inactive player you don't need to upgrade your character and can just use the one which has the best skill, like Money Dragon which boosts your gold temporarily.
The same applies to purchasing new characters completely. Active players should buy one as soon as they can afford it as the boost in tap damage is dramatic.
Inactive players, on the other hand, should plough all of their money into minions and only purchase new characters for the skill benefits.
Go tap crazy
While clickers can be a completely inactive experience, there are numerous benefits to actually playing them - particularly in CoinOp Heroes 2.
Firstly, you'll earn far more money because taps generally do a lot more damage than minions - time is money.
Secondly, gnomes occasionally run across the screen who, if you tap on them, will shower you with gold or gems (providing you watch a brief advertisement) so it's worth doing.
Use the levels to your advantage
As you increase in power and earn more gold, you'll want to unlock new levels where stronger enemies lurk. Defeating these earns more gold though so it's totally worth it.
When you're actively playing you should select a level in which you can comfortably kill all enemies on the screen when tapping.
When you take a break, drop down to a lower level so your minions can carry on making easy money.
