I stumbled upon a game which reminded me so much of Call of Duty 2, I was confused if I was playing it on a smartphone or a PC. Game developer Gameloft really outdid themselves this time by making a third instalment for their hit franchise called Brothers in Arms 3. This game is critically acclaimed, downloaded over five million times with a rating of 4.5 out of 5 on Google Play Store and a 4.5 star rating on iOS App Store and let me tell you something, it is absolutely packed with action. So put on your helmet and load up your magazine, it’s time to go to war!
As you can tell by the game’s name, you play as a soldier and team up with your “brothers” in arms and go on missions to eliminate the enemy threat. While that sounds pretty simplistic, the game itself is far from it. You got dozens of options, weapons and gear to explore and a whole lot of missions to play which makes this game even more exciting.
Before you start a mission, you will go to your armory and equip your character with weapons of your choice. In your armory, you are also able to assign brothers to your squad once you have unlocked them. After you are ready, you can tap next and you will see your mission overview. At every mission you can earn up to three stars. In order to earn those stars, you need to complete certain objectives which are given to you. Before you start a mission you will also see how much experience points and dog tags you will earn by finishing the mission successfully. The better you perform in during your missions, the better rewards you will receive at the end of it.
Most levels are pretty straightforward. You start behind cover and can start shooting the enemies. After you have killed a couple of enemies, you can get away from behind your cover and walk forward using the arrow-pad that Brothers in Arms 3 provide for you. If you are having a tough time clearing the level, you can ask your squad members to call in an artillery strike. This will clear out every enemy in front of you and you can walk further. You repeat this pattern until you clear out the whole level and finish it. After you finish the level, you will receive a reward which you can use for upgrades. Eventually you will level up because you earn experience points, and by leveling up, you will unlock more weapons and other gear in the shop. You can buy these guns with dog tags that you also earn by completing levels, or you can buy them with gold medals which you can purchase in the in-game store.
If you log in to Brothers in Arms 3 everyday, you can collect a reward. These rewards become more valuable the more you play the game. For instance, at day one till three, you receive a dog tag package but at day thirty you will receive an AK-47. There are achievements in Brothers in Arms 3 such as completing campaign missions with three stars, which will reward you with dog tags. By completing these achievements you can get an extra boost of income to buy new weapons and gear.
You got a total of eleven energy bolts, and playing a mission will cost you one energy bolt. Once you are out of energy bolts, you need to either wait for them to replenish on their own or you can spend gold medals to replenish them immediately. It takes fifteen minutes before an energy bolt replenishes itself so if you are out of them, you might need to wait a while if you do not want to spend money in Brothers in Arms 3.
Brothers in Arms 3 In-game store
In Brothers in Arms 3 there are two types of currencies. Dog tags are the normal currency and you can get them by finishing levels. There is also a premium currency called gold medals, which you can buy in the in-game store. With these gold medals you can purchase a lot of things which I will list here.
Prices for gold medal packages vary from $4,99 for the smallest package of 150 gold medals up until $99,99 for the largest package of 5000 gold medals. You can also purchase a Hardcore Started Pack which consists of 150 gold medals, 6000 dog tags, 4 grenades, 4 Molotov cocktails, 4 throwing knives and 4 bazookas and costs $4,99.
There are five categories in the in-game shop where you can spend gold medals to purchase items to have a bigger advantage in the game. There is a weapon shop where you can purchase a huge collection of weaponry such as SMGs, Rifles, Assault weapons, Sniper rifles, Shotguns, Anti-tank weapons and experimental weapons.
The next category is brothers. Brothers are your squad members and friends, who will help you clear a level and achieve your goals. You will unlock most brothers by just playing the game and finishing certain campaigns.
There is a category called bundles, which are essentially three different weapon bundles. There is a pyro bundle which has explosives and flammable bombs in it and costs 60 gold medals. There is an assault bundle which has grenades, Molotov cocktails and gas masks in it and costs 50 gold medals and the last bundle is called basic bundle and consist of a few med kits, grenades and throwing knives and costs 20 gold medals.
The fourth category is called consumables which are items that are to be used only once. You can purchase med kits, grenades and many other things here, but you will only have one of them in your inventory so it could be wise to purchase bundles so you can save yourself some money.
You can also upgrade your account to VIP status which will give you a boost during the whole period in which the VIP is active. The duration of the VIP status depends on how much gold medals you are willing to spend. There is Bronze VIP which lasts two days and costs 30 gold medals, a Silver VIP which lasts seven days and costs 50 gold medals and a Gold VIP which lasts for thirty days and costs a hundred gold medals. The boosts differ depending on which VIP you decide to buy, so you should check out which advantages you want and make a purchase accordingly.
There is a way to earn free consumables and gold medals by watching ad videos. These videos last from ten up until thirty seconds and at the end you will receive your items-
Brothers in Arms 3 is a very fun action armored warfare game that you can get on iOS and Android, but you might have issues getting all of the items you need without purchasing items through the in-app purchasing option. This is especially true when it comes to medals and armor or weapon upgrades.
Buying items in the App Store costs real money, and this is something most people tend to avoid when they can. We want you to have the ability to get the medals and other items you need to play this game, so we have decided to come out with a hack tool, which lets you get the dog tags and medals for free, and you can use this as many times as you want during your gameplay.
Check out the image below to see how our hack tool is setup, with the options menu being where you will input the amounts of medals and dog tags that you want to add to your account.
Simply download the Brothers in Arms 3 hack tool, which will take around 30 seconds, and you will notice it automatically installs after it completes the download, which should take no more than 60 seconds. It is important to let you know the download and install speeds depend on the speed of your internet. You will need to select what device OS you are using to play Brothers in Arms 3, such as Android or iOS, and then you can put in how many dog tags and medals you want to add.
Simply tap “Start” to run the Brothers in Arms 3 generator, which takes no more than 45 seconds from start to finish, although sometimes it can take a little longer. Once you have completed that part, then you can simply open up Brothers in Arms 3 on your device, and you will see the medals and dog tags have already been added to your account. By using this generator, you will get unlimited amounts of these items, which can help you upgrade items in your game and also help you advance through the warfare in a much quicker fashion.
There are websites out there that claim to have working cheats for brothers in Arms 3. From what I can tell, these websites are fake and are out to make money off of you. Before you can download these fake cheats, you need to fill in a survey. The surveys provide an income for these fake websites. I can guarantee you that you will be disappointed after you have filled in the survey and downloaded the files. You will be lucky if the files are just fake because there is a chance for those files to contain viruses, so be cautious.
In every level of Brothers in Arms 3, you can earn up to three stars by completing every objective that has been given to you. The first star you earn upon finishing the level but if you complete the other objectives, you will earn the other two stars. Some chapters only unlock if you have a certain amount of stars so be sure to collect as many of them as you possibly can. If you are missing a few, you can always go back and repeat a few levels in order to still have enough stars to unlock the next chapter.
In Brothers of Arms 3, it is important to hit the enemy where it hurts the most. Using your crosshair to aim on them and trying to go for that headshot will assure you a one-shot kill. The nice thing about this game is that the crosshair will snap onto the head or the body of your target, which makes it easier for you to shoot them where you want to. Getting a headshot kill will earn you an extra ten experience points!
Because accuracy is so important, it is also important to try to single shot your enemies instead of spraying your gun. While spraying can be effective at close range, you will most likely miss every single one of your targets if you do it from a distance. Try to aim and shoot single shots which will assure you of a direct hit, and with the snapping crosshair, this task even is easier than you would think. Do not forget to occasionally upgrade your weapons which will also increase their accuracy but also their firepower. This will make it easier for you to kill your enemies and successfully clear levels.
A last piece of advice I would like to give to all new players of Brothers in Arms 3 is that you should time the moments you pop out of your cover. While it is true that you will receive less damage from enemy gunfire while you are hiding behind sandbags, sometimes the enemy will throw a grenade at you. You will see a grenade indicator which is the sign for you to get the hell out of there. If you do not have the option to run away because enemies are firing at you, there is always an option to throw back the grenade that has been tossed at you. You do this by quickly tapping the grenade indicator and your soldier will throw it right back at the enemies.
I like the fact that you start the game with a small tutorial which shows you the ropes and allows you to learn the basics. Brothers in Arms 3 has a lot of options and I could imagine casual mobile gamers will have troubles understanding the game. Like I have stated before, the amount of options are huge in Brothers in Arms 3, which is a very positive aspect to the game itself. Next to having amazing graphics and dynamic environment, there are great sound effects and soundtracks. After you have gone through the tutorial, you can start leveling up your soldier by playing levels and completing objectives. It is nice that every level has its own objective, which brings diversity and a challenge in gameplay.
Occasionally there are events which allow you to complete objectives and if you succeed, you will unlock rare “brothers” which you can assign to your squad and they will fight alongside you against your enemies. Another nice aspect about Brothers in Arms 3 is that there are no advertisements. Free-to-play games tend to put a lot of ads up around the game which can obstruct your gameplay.
Unfortunately while Brothers in Arms 3 is a very nice game, it also has flaws. Normally I would not mind if free-to-play games have an in-game store where you can purchase items for real money. The problem with this in Brothers in Arms 3 is that you almost get forced to spend money on the game in order to be able to progress through the game. Many of the weapons are way too underpowered and you do not earn enough currency to upgrade them the way you want. This forces you to either grind levels over and over again to earn more currency, or you need to spend money on the game and buy premium currency.
The amount of items you can purchase with premium currency is so huge, it makes players feel like you have no chance in this game if you do not spend real money on it. I think the developers need to balance the game a little bit more and allow you to earn premium currency by playing levels and completing them successfully.
Artwork: I give Brothers in Arms 3 a 9/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Brothers in Arms 3 are absolutely breathtaking for a mobile game. Like I have stated before, the game itself reminded me so much of the classic Call of Duty 2, which makes this game even better of course. The environment In Brothers in Arms 3 is dynamic, which means that obstacles are breakable, which is perfect for this type of game. The animations in explosives and gunfire is smooth and the effects added to them is very nice.
Music & SFX: I give Brothers in Arms 3 an 8/10 for its music and SFX. The soundtracks in the background fit the whole war theme very nicely. They are not too loud nor to quiet. I love the fact that the enemy soldiers actually speak German instead of using text bubbles. The sound effects are of high quality, for instance the gunfire is authentic and the explosion sounds are realistic. Both the soundtracks and sound effects do not bother the player, even if you wear earphones.
Story & Originality: I give Brothers in Arms 3 an 8/10 for its story and originality. It is true that Brothers in Arms 3 is a cover-based game but that doesn’t take away that there are original things added to the game itself. For instance, you have an arrow-pad which lets you walk freely over the level. This is a very nice add-on because it is up to you now if you want to stay in cover or rush the enemy and kill them up close. The story of the game becomes clearer the further you progress through it.
General Gameplay: I give Brothers in Arms 3 a 9/10 for general gameplay. I have experienced absolutely no problems during my gameplay of Brothers in Arms 3. The basic controls are good and not clunky like in some other games. The story, the amount of levels and weapons/gear are a big plus because it allows you to spend a lot of hours on the game to experience every detail of it.
Addictiveness: I give Brothers in Arms 3 a 5/10 for addictiveness. It bothers me a lot that games such as Brothers in Arms 3 use a system where you run out of energy and therefor either need to wait for your energy to refill in order to play more, or you need to spend real money to replenish your energy bar right away. The game by itself is very addictive but only because of this energy bar, you get blocked in playing hours on end. You have eleven energy bolts in total and you need to wait a whopping fifteen minutes for one energy bolt to replenish. This is way too much for my likings.
All things considered, I give Brothers in Arms 3 an 8/10.
