This role-playing game guides your character through quests and different towns in order to help you character level up and get stronger while also showing you the world of Order and Chaos as well as continuing the story of Order and Chaos. Each quest along the main storyline continues the story of Order and Chaos to allow a better feel of an adventure game with an end to it. Every city that you enter will have a different storyline that all leads into the main storyline, offering tidbits in every city until the final story unfolds. The overall story, however, has a small feel compared to the joy of meeting new people and making new friends through battle.
In the beginning, this game is fairly easy and allows for a solo player experience because it’s unlikely for someone new to be partying up with other people early on due to lack of knowledge on the game. Towards the later stages of the game, the monsters and bosses begin to get harder and the difficulty level of the game skyrockets. As a solo player, you’ll begin to feel burdened by the difficulty of the game. With a party, the harder dungeons begin to be easier to complete and easier to win. The game may have a social aspect to it, but unnecessary for players to give in to this social aspect.
Order and Chaos has a neverending aspect to it as well. The developers, Gameloft, continues to add to the game and introduces new content. This allows for people to continue playing the game until the game is shut off for updates.
Although a seemingly copycat of the game, World of Warcraft, the game is mobile and allows for people to play while on the run. Although the game is a copycat, it still has different aspects of animation that World of Warcraft lacks. Assuming you get into the game, you can expect a fast paced exciting multiplayer that you’ll want your friends to play as well. Getting your friends to play will allow for more fun because of the exciting idea of working together with your friends while still looking out for yourself in terms of items and rewards.
Purchases in game allow you to obtain more than 3 character slots or obtaining more in-game currency. By unlocking more than 3 character slots, you can play different characters among the 40 that are out there without having to start over with the tutorial or not having any items to start out with. To do this, simply mail your second character whatever you’re selling and then you can log on to your second character and sell the item on auction house. This will allow for quicker selling and buying which will ultimately save time as well as money because transportation does have a cost to it.
You’re allowed to party with other people for quests that involves killing a certain number of monsters. If you party with other people, you’re able to complete the quest together and finish the quest earlier. This is also a good way to make friends with other people. By making friends with other people, they can help you with other quests and help you gain more items together as a team.
Trade skills are available through doing specific quests in Order and Chaos. By doing the Apprentice quest, you’ll be able to pick out your own skill and get a message to give to the skill master. After handing over the message, you’ll need to purchase recipes in order to begin crafting spells. Often times, monsters are deal more damage when being attacked by a spell rather than being attacked by an auto attack.
Knowing what other classes do is important in order for team play. By knowing that mages are able to control mobs of monsters and that Paladins can heal as well as do damage, you’ll be able to go into battle knowing where to position as your character. However, this is all theoretical. Learning from experience is the most important aspect of learning to fight as your character. Knowing where to position so that you don’t die, or prevent someone else from dying is important in order to learn how to fight when it comes to the boss fights.
Arrows will always lead you to the place where you need to be. Quest arrows help guide you on the way to where your quest objective is. If there’s nothing where your arrow leads to, it’s most likely that the quest area consists of a mob of monsters which were just killed recently. By waiting for a little while, it’s most likely that those monsters will respawn and you’ll be able to kill the designated monsters in order to complete the quest.
To increase the amount of damage that you’re dishing out, try to upgrade the weapon that you have currently attached. The higher average damage your weapon does, the more damage you’ll do over time, also known as, the more damage per second(dps) you’re dealing.
Finding a guild to help support you is really important because they can help you get past troubles that you have in a quest or guide you in the right direction in terms of equipment. Quality over quantity in this situation.
Dying in this game takes a toll on your money. This toll increases the higher level you are. In order to conserve as much money as possible, try to mail any excess money that you don’t need on your adventure to your secondary account so that when you die, you’re not losing the precious gold that you’ve earned. You don’t have to make a whole new account, just send it to your second character and then send the money back from your alternate account to your main character so that you don’t have the money, but it’s easily accessible. This works to serve as a bank for your money.
This game does not require the farming of mobs over and over again in order to level up. Leveling up comes a lot easier from completing quests and finishing tasks. Completing quests in order will grant you enough experience in order to level up sufficiently.
When you attempt to craft armor, the armor that you’re making is worse than any armor that you’ll receive from completing the necessary quests. Don’t bother to increase your crafting skill if you can simply receive better gear later on. Form parties of two to four people in order to have the maximum efficiency when completing quests. By working together, your team will be able to face stronger enemies and get more experience that way. When you face stronger enemies, you’ll absolutely need a group to help you get past that stage of Order and Chaos.
Order and Chaos allows for a global chat where you can speak to other players wherever they are in the game. This will be your main source of help in the game. You can ask global chat if you’re having trouble with some aspect of the game. Although the global chat feature is very nice, you can’t type too long of messages or else you won’t be able to see what you’re typing.
Try to stick with a guild during your time playing Order and Chaos. You can make some good friends by building a guild with other people and also get help from people who might be able to self-guide you through the quest. It’s simply just easier and nicer having people who can help you rather than having to complete Order and Chaos by yourself.
Although this game has a ton of upsides, the negatives include the number of bugs that this game has. Because of the user base, sometimes the game glitches out during a battle and you die and lose a ton of money in the process. This can get extremely frustrating for anyone who is getting high level. At a higher level, you’re losing more money per death and if your death is caused by a bug, it simply gets increasingly frustrating.
The achievements for completing quests are almost non-existent. Although this game doesn’t have enough achievements, it still has some amount of reward to it due to the nature of the game. Just trying to be good enough in order to fight against other people in Player vs player is enough of a motivation in order to do well.
This casual game is good for spans of an hour or more because a game of quests is usually a game of separating times by finishing quests. Unless you get extremely addicted to the game, you’ll only find yourself playing the game when you’re not at home.
Artwork: 8/10 I find the artwork in this game to be pretty quality, but it doesn’t capture the artwork of some other game like World of Warcraft.
Music and SFX: 9/10 The music is pretty nice to be honest. It’s soothing and really nice when the gameplay activates and the sword effects come up.
Story and Originality: 6/10 The story is pretty ignorable because it doesn’t have the biggest impact on the game itself. It’s so related to World of Warcraft it hurts.
General Gameplay: 7/10 Gameplay is rather turn-based but interesting and fun with all the abilities.
Addictiveness: 7/10 Order and Chaos is really nice in terms of every aspect, which leads to a good amount of addictiveness.
Overall Rating: I rate Order and Chaos an 8/10
