The world as we know it is about the change, great cities will be destroyed, armies will be whipped out, casualties will pile up and finances will disappear. You need to make sure that all of this will happen, you are the Massive World Threat! In Colossatron, you play as an alien metallic dragon, upgrading your body with guns and armor and raining hellfire on cities on earth. Game developer Halfbrick Studios, the creator of this graphically amazing game, has had amazing success with releasing Colossatron and the numbers show it. It has been downloaded over a million times with a rating of 4.2 out of 5 on Google Play Store and a 4 star rating on iOS App Store, and the numbers just keep rising daily!
In Colossatron, you play as an alien battleship, which looks like a metallic dragon. While you are orbiting the earth and before you decide to crash land into your target city, you are able to put on a few PowerCores parts. PowerCores have different colors which represent the type of weapon they are carrying. By combining three PowerCores of the same color, this part will become bigger and more powerful. You can also combine parts of other colors with each other. Your goal in Colossatron is to guide your metallic dragon through the cities on the planet and completely destroy nations.
You do not need to use controls to move your metallic dragon because it moves on its own. Though you are able to use specialty attacks to guide his attack into a different direction. You move from district to district, completing objectives. While your dragon is moving around, random PowerCores will fly around which you can take and drag towards your dragon. This will make it attach to your dragon, and make it more powerful. Occasionally there will be special boosters flying around such as a shield armor, rapid fire or even a nuclear bomb that will destroy everyone around you.
Each campaign, or nation consist of four cities. Three of these are normal and the last one is the boss level, which is the capital city. You need to do a certain amount of damage before you have successfully cleared out that level. After you completely wipe out these four cities, you unlock the next campaign.
During your gameplay, you will occasionally come across prisms, which are these colorful block like objects and are very important in Colossatron. After destroying the capital cities, you will also be rewarded three prisms. With these prisms you can upgrade your armor and weapons to become even more powerful and you can also use them to change your gadgets.
Cash is the basic currency in Colossatron, which you collect by destroying cities. With cash you can repair and reconfigure your metallic dragon before starting a level. You can also add a powercore or a power-up to your dragon, which are like boosters that will help you destroy cities and the military easier.
Colossatron In-game store
In Colossatron you have two types of currencies which you can use to upgrade your metallic dragon alien ship. The basic currency is cash, which you can easily earn by destroying cities and there is the premium currency called prisms which are not easy to collect at all.
You occasionally will spot a prism during your gameplay, you can take it and drag it to your ship. After destroying the capital city of a nation, you will also earn three prisms. You can use prisms to do a lot of things such as upgrading the differently colored PowerCores, upgrading the weapons in them, changing gadgets on your ship, and if you are low on cash, you can exchange one prism for ten million cash.
There is an in-game store where you can purchase prisms for real money. Prices for prisms vary from $1,99 for the smallest package of 20 prisms up till $99,99 for the largest package of 2000 prisms. Occasionally there are special deals, such as a package of 60 prisms for $4,99.
You can also earn free prisms by following Halfbrick Studios on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Each one of these will earn you two prisms.
If you have ever played Colossatron: Massive World Threat, then you know that cash is prime currency in the game, and you need it to upgrade and buy items. You also need a lot of prisms in this game to help you out, which is available in the App Store, but it costs real money to purchase.
If you are like most people, you don’t want to buy prisms with your hard earned money through the game, so that is why we decided we needed to add a hack tool for this game. Our hack tool gives you unlimited amounts of prisms and cash for free, and this tool works for Android and iOS devices.
Check out the image below to see just how easy the prisms and cash generator is to use, and the options menu is where you will go to input the values of each item you want.
Simply download the Colossatron: Massive World Threat hack tool on our website, which takes about 30 seconds to download. It will begin to automatically install after it downloads, and that also takes about 30 seconds to finish. Once that is done, simply select either iOS or Android, and then you can input the amounts of each item you want. You will at this point be able to play the game without purchasing anything from the app store.
I’ve looked up cheats for Colossatron, to see if there are any available for it and what I found out was that a lot of websites claim they have working cheats and hacks for this game. I picked out the one that looked the most trustworthy. This particular website had logos on their website saying that the cheats were one hundred percent safe and secured, and they even had a Symantec secured logo. Before I was able to download this so called cheats, I first needed to fill out a survey. After I had done this, my download started and it was an .exe file.
I opened up the program and it all looked very professionally done, just like a real program would be. I needed to connect my phone so that the program could detect the Colossatron app on my device and I could inject unlimited cash and prisms into my game. Of course this didn’t work, the program was not even able to detect my device because it’s fake. It is unfortunate that websites like this exist just to make money from people who try to find cheats. Instead of looking up cheats for Colossatron, use the following tips and tricks to have an advantage in your gameplay.
While you are playing through a level, you will see differently colored PowerCores floating around you. You need to be quick and drag those PowerCores to the Colossatron to make it more powerful and be able to resist more enemy fire. The goal of the Colossatron is to move around in cities and completely destroy them, so you will need the extra firepower.
PowerCores have the color red, yellow and blue, but combining them could result in you getting the green and purple PowerCores. You need to focus and try to combine three of the same color PowerCores with each other, which will result in one upgraded PowerCore of the same color. Let’s say you have a chain of two yellow and two green PowerCores, and you see another yellow PowerCore floating around, you should quickly drag it towards your chain of two yellow PowerCores. This will automatically upgrade it to the next level yellow PowerCore, but you can keep this tactic going until you have the highest possible upgraded PowerCore.
Try to drag as many PowerCores to the Colossatron as you possibly can, even if you cannot match them with the right colors. PowerCores get damaged and even destroyed by enemy bombers, tanks and artillery fire, so you will need to keep adding more in order to not lose the level. It is better to have none combined PowerCores than have nothing at all.
The Colossatron has special abilities which you unlock while playing the game. Depending on which abilities you unlock, you can use them to further destroy a city. The first ability you unlock is a dash ability which you use by holding your finger on the screen where you want the machine to dash at and unleash it. It takes a little while for this ability to recharge, but it doesn’t cost you anything and it will change the direction of attack which is pretty useful at times.
Before I downloaded Colossatron, I had never heard of it before so I didn’t really know what to expect. The logo of the game in the app store looked pretty nice and in my eyes it resembled a metallic dragon (hence why I keep calling it a metallic dragon). When you start the game for the first time, there will be a short storyline where you see a news presenter talking about an unknown object orbiting the planet for a while now. After he finishes his story, you tap on the attack button which will trigger a Massive World Threat, and this threat is you. In Colossatron, you are a giant metallic flying dragon whose sole goal is to destroy cities and complete nations on the planet.
The first thing that I noticed about this game is the amount of time the developers spend for the story behind the game, with the whole news presenter and all. What also truly amazed me are the colorful graphics of Colossatron. There are a lot of things going on at the same time but it is not hard to play the game at all, especially after you upgrade your weapons and armor.
Another positive aspect is that there were no in-game advertisements which could potentially ruin the gameplay. While I understand that free-to-play games need to generate an income for the developers, some games are really going too far with by implementing obstructive advertisements.
Unfortunately there are also a few negative aspects. The first one being that there are annoying pop-ups in Colossatron. These pop-ups will show up asking the player to rate the game or try out other games from Halfbrick Studios. I think the players can decide for themselves if they want to rate the game or try other games out and the developer should know that pop-ups such as these might even turn players off from playing Colossatron at all.
Another negative aspect about Colossatron is that I experienced lag spikes. Sometimes a lot of things are going on visually during the gameplay, a lot of shooting, laser beams, explosions, a lot of military vehicles and adding all of these up slowed down the game significantly for me. Because I don’t know if this has something to do with my device or with the game itself, I can’t really judge how big of a deal this is. Therefor I also decided not to deduct any points in my ratings because of this.
Artwork: I give Colossatron a 9/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Colossatron are really amazing for a mobile game. The attention to detail is astonishing and the visual effects really fit the whole theme of the game, which is of course total destruction. Animations such as your metallic dragon flying around, the different guns firing, the puny earthlings trying to stop you and many more, are fitted so well together, that I think the developers should be praised. It has been a long time since I have played a game as visually appealing as Colossatron.
Music & SFX: I give Colossatron an 8/10 for its music and SFX. Both the soundtracks and sound effects in Colossatron fitted perfectly in the general theme that this game has. The theme is summarized as “Total Destruction” of the planet. The soundtracks gives the players that extra adrenaline to keep focused and shoot guide their dragons towards their objectives. The sound effects are implemented in a near perfect way, the only downfall is that sometimes there are too many sound effects at the same time, which can be a bit hard on the ears. Other than that, I think the music and SFX really fitted well with the artwork.
Story & Originality: I give Colossatron a 9/10 for its story and originality. I see myself as a casual mobile gamer, and in all my years of occasionally playing mobile games, I never played a game such as Colossatron. The fact that the game starts off a story just adds more to the gameplay itself. You are this alien metallic dragon orbiting the earth, and you make it your mission to destroy every city on the planet.
General Gameplay: I give Colossatron an 8/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay becomes pretty straightforward after you have destroyed a few cities, but still exciting enough to find out about all the features implemented into the game. There are many upgrades and special abilities which you can apply to your dragon ship, and cause even more damage to the cities on the planet. The only downfall I experienced with the general gameplay was the fact that the game had lag spikes when too many things were going on at the same time. This really slowed down the gameplay for me, but I am not deducting any points because of this. For all I know it has something to do with the device on which I played Colossatron. Other than that, everything worked perfectly fine for me.
Addictiveness: I give Colossatron a 9/10 for addictiveness. I am going to be totally honest here, I never imagined seeing myself playing a mobile game for longer than an hour in one sitting but today that very thing happened. I started playing Colossatron, and the fact that everything about this game fitted so well together, made me play the game longer than I would like to admit. Everything from the graphics till the story made me just want to play this game more. There were waiting times for certain upgrades in the game but these didn’t really bother me, since you do not really need the upgrades right away, especially at the beginning of the game.
All things considered, I give Colossatron a 9/10.
