I like the fact that there are fourteen different mini games and the game is endless, becoming more challenging the further you progress through the game. It is also nice that you have four lives per run, so it means you can make a few mistakes, but after that you really need to be careful. Toilet & Bathroom Rush reminds me of certain Wario games on the Nintendo DS, which has the same game mechanism and I like games that are challenging like this. There is also an in-game store where you can purchase power-ups and boosters to help you progress further in the game, which is always nice because sometimes you really can use a booster in this game.

Unfortunately there are several negative aspects in Toilet & Bathroom Rush, for starters there are pop-ups that ask you to rate the game. I believe that when players like a certain game, they will take their time to rate it, which is their own decision. I feel like developers should never ask players to rate their games with five stars, especially if you can receive a reward for it. There are toilet paper rolls that are called bumfs, which you can collect by playing the game and reaching certain levels, and with these bumfs you can unlock items in the toilet paper and toilet museums. While it sounds easy to do, collecting bumfs is actually pretty hard and it makes the game feel like you can only complete it by purchasing bumfs with real money.

The second negative aspect about Toilet & Bathroom Rush is that there are many pop-up advertisements that tempt to show up exactly when you are about to tap on the screen. The worse part about this is, if you accidently tap on the ad, your game will close and your browser will open to bring you to the advertisement website. Normally I do not mind when free-to-play games have advertisements, because the developers need to earn some money for their hard work, but the advertisements in Toilet & Bathroom Rush are simply too obstructive and very annoying. It makes it feel like the developers try to trick people into tapping on the ads by showing the pop-ups exactly when you are getting into the game and you just want to play another round. There are also normal banner ads at the bottom of the screen, but these are not obstructive to your gameplay.

Artwork: I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush an 8/10 for its artwork. I like the fact that the developers decided to make the games’ graphics cartoonish so that people wouldn’t take all of the toilet jokes too seriously. The objects in all of the mini games are clear and detailed, in fact it is so nice, that you will already know what to do once you see the mini game show up. Every mini game has its own design but they all fit the over theme very well. What I perhaps like the most about the artwork of Toilet & Bathroom Rush is that there are many idle animations during the mini games that really make the game feel livelier. For instance, there is a mini game where a smartphone is falling right towards the toilet bowl and you need to swipe it away to safe it, but the fact that you can control the falling smartphone really amazes me for some reason. The cartoonish graphics and idle animations really fit perfectly together in this game.

Music & SFX: I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush an 8/10 for its music and SFX. There are two different soundtracks in Toilet & Bathroom Rush. The first one you will hear at the main menu, which is pretty decent and makes the main menu itself less boring. The second one you will hear during your gameplay, and I like the fact that it really adds a thrilling feeling to the game. The soundtrack itself goes faster, the faster you progress through the game. This means that you hear the soundtrack faster and you know that you will have to react quicker in order to progress through the game. There are also many special sound effects both in the main menu and also during the gameplay. The SFX range from menu button sounds to toilets flushing sounds. The soundtracks and sound effects really fit perfectly together and also fit the theme of the game.

Story & Originality: I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush a 7/10 for its story and originality. I can’t say I ever played a game such as Toilet & Bathroom Rush on my mobile device, but I know that there are several games out on the app stores that have the same game mechanisms. I also already played a very similar game on the Nintendo DS. It still doesn’t take away that Toilet & Bathroom Rush has an original theme and the gameplay is still very entertaining to play.

General Gameplay: I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush an 8/10 for general gameplay. Toilet & Bathroom Rush stars with a nice tutorial that shows you how to play the game properly and how to solve several of the fourteen mini games. After the tutorial is over, you are on you own and you can play the game as you want. The controls are very responsive and the user interface is clear. Once you have played the different mini games a few times, the game becomes pretty straightforward, but still very entertaining to play nonetheless.

Addictiveness: I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush an 8/10 for addictiveness. What makes this game addictive is the fact that you do not get a limited playtime because of an energy bar or something similar to that. You can log in to the game and start playing whenever you feel like it. When I play a challenging game such as Toilet & Bathroom Rush, I like to see how far I can make it and sometimes I forget the time. It is nice that the gameplay itself is endless, so you can challenge your friends and family members and see who is better at the game. There are also several power-ups/boosters which can help you get the highest score possible.

All things considered, I give Toilet & Bathroom Rush an 8/10.
