Dungeon Link is a puzzle based RPG where you and your party of Heroes embark on a quest through the world of Kanterbury, training up and enhancing your powers to take down the ruthless Demon King. Available on both Android and iOS, Dungeon Link puts a spin on typical JRPG elements with battles taking place on a grid. Connect matching tiles to attack, fill up each tile on the board for a Perfect Attack bonus, and unleash your Heroes unique special attack as you stomp up the online PvP ladder, or play through the various single player content, and there is enough here to keep any player happy when pining for an internet connection.
Battles are played on grids of normally five by five or six by six. Each Hero starts off on a tile on the grid, and you have to guide them through the battlefield to their matching color tile, attacking enemies along the way. Using each tile on the game board lets your team pull off a Perfect Attack, dealing bonus damage at the end of your turns.
At the beginning on Dungeon Link, you are given a choice of which Hero to choose from a pool of ten, each with their own attributes. Hero classes can different from supporting roles such as Healers and Tanks, to offensive roles with bonuses such as raising your team’s overall Attack percentage. Constructing the perfect team of Heroes in game is critical in increasing your odds against players worldwide, and becomes one of the many important skills needed to take down the Dungeon King troubling the citizens of Kanterbury.
Play through the Dungeons to earn Gems, Swords, Gold and more Heroes to increase your teams chances at victory, or buy them through the in game store which earns you bonuses.
You might be in the middle of Dungeon Link, which is a very fun game, and trying to figure out ways to get more gold and gems. While you can get the gold and gems through the App Store or through in-app purchasing, this costs real money, and a lot of people find these items to be too expensive to purchase, especially multiple times.
We have decided to add Dungeon Link to our hack tool database, which means you can get unlimited gems and gold by downloading and installing our free hack tool, which is available for iOS and Android.
If you want to check out the hack tool, simply look at the image below, and you will notice how easy the user interface and options menu is to use.
Simply download the Dungeon Link hack tool, which will take around 30 seconds, and you will notice it will automatically install after it downloads. It should take about 40 seconds to install, but it depends on the speed of your internet and device. Then, you will need to select what type of device you are using to play Dungeon Link, such as iOS or Android. You can then input the amounts of gold and gems that you want to add to your game.
Click “Start” to run the hack tool, which takes less than 45 seconds to complete. Once that is done, simply open up the game, and you will see the items are added to your account. By doing this, you will be able to get through the game quicker and easier, and it saves you money since you don’t need to spend anything in the app-store to get the gold and gems.
When battling, always try to use up every square of the board. Perfect attacks are very powerful, especially at the beginning of the game. The bonus attack damage could be the difference between a win and a loss.
Be aware of your team members and what their special abilities are, as some can be exceptionally powerful. The big ones to look out for are increasing Team Attack percentage and Perfect Attack percentage.
Make sure to but the White Tiger in your party early on. The White Tiger is a powerful Hero available to join your party from near the beginning of the game. His special ability creates AoE damage to all enemies in the same row, snaking him through the level can be very rewarding.
Play through the single player campaign before trying your luck online. This not only makes you more familiar with the game, levelling your player account to level 10 unlocks an extra Hero slot for your party.
I want to mention at the beginning of this review that I played Dungeon Link on an iPad, which made artwork look great even though the childish anime art style did put me off in the beginning. The big splash screen covered with Heroes that pops up upon entering the game looks very clear and crisp, but in some parts it became obvious that tablets weren’t the platform the developers had in mind through production. The animated cutscenes and videos, though they did look very smooth, were just too poor quality for the ten inch screen. Compression artifacts were obvious and really detracted away from the story Dungeon Link was trying to tell.
The core gameplay of Dungeon Link is there and it’s great, but I think it’s surrounded by a lot of unneeded choices out of battle, like the rune and enhancing systems which I found overly complicated. Dungeon Link does do a nice, slow job at explaining new gameplay elements, but there’s just so many elements there that a couple of text boxes from the Inn Keeper doesn’t do a good enough job at establishing the concepts to newer players, and this might discourage them from playing.
I found that slugging through the main single player game mode Dungeon became a chore at points, but I put the blame on the background music. Sure, it’s chipper and nice enough, but it’s only the same twenty seconds or so repeated ad nauseam. It was great advancing to a boss stage, if only to hear a different song, and it really became noticeable after playing for hours in a sitting.
Overall, I found playing Dungeon Link to be a totally enjoyable experience. Fun, challenging puzzle games aren’t all that common, and it’s good to see that someone has stepped up to deliver the complete package. Highly recommended.
Artwork: I give Dungeon Link a 9/10 for artwork. As I was playing on an iPad, it was great to see the game art in full expansive detail. Each character has a look specific to them, and levelling up changes their costumes into better looking gear. Great looking art, great looking characters, cool looking battles. What more do you want?
Music & SFX: I give Dungeon Link a 6/10 for Music & SFX. The sound effects are enjoyable and give attacks that powerful feel, but the music for me really let’s the game down. Incredibly repetitive, and you’ll probably mute it about twenty minutes in.
Story & Originality: I give Dungeon Link a 9/10 for Story & Originality. The story really drives the first portion of the game, and it’s what got my attention early on. And the gameplay is refreshingly original, I’ve never played a puzzle grid RPG game like this ever. Good job on this one.
General Gameplay: I give Dungeon Link a 9/10 for General Gameplay. As I mentioned above, I’ve never played a game like this before, and it plays like a dream. The simple gameplay mechanics of grid based combat are terrific, and makes you wonder how long it will be before other developers latch on to the idea.
Addictiveness: I give Dungeon Link a 9/10 for Addictiveness. Even if you don’t feel the need to climb through the PvP ranks, Dungeon Link has enough single player content to get you hooked. Levels are short and simple, each with a nice fat bonus at the end, so it’s easy to see how player’s can fall into the trap of gaming for hours.
Overall, I give Dungeon Link a 9/10.
