Rail Rush Cheats & Hack for Nuggets

Miniclip offers us this time an Arcade game called Rail Rush. The game has 4 out of 5 stars on Google Play Store and 4.5 out of 5 stars on iOS Store and according to the developers it was downloaded for more than 60 million times on all devices. Even though it is a fairly recent game the requirements are not so high meaning that an entry-level Android smartphone and an Apple Device with at least 4.3 iOS should be able to run Rail Rush with no problems.

Rail Rush is an endless runner game that promises lots of fun (and bitterness) for the player. You are an adventurous miner that wants to get very rich. And how do you do that? By entering strangely-themed mines with a not very safe cart and start collecting gold while you try to survive by dodging different type of obstacles (such as broken tracks, giant rolling Easter eggs, ghosts, marshmallows – I told you the mines are strange).Easy, right?

The only resource of the game is represented by the Gold Nuggets. You can collect them from your runs (they are the reason why you are adventuring in dangerous mines after all) or you can buy them with real money. One good thing is that there are various quantities you can buy – starting with 15.000 Gold Nuggets for $1.99 until 1.000.000 Gold Nuggets for $79.99.

There are currently 10 World (or Maps as I like to call them) that are currently playable in the game from which 5 are free-to-play (Old Mines, Sweet Wonderland, Snow Land, Horror Land, Steam Factory). The other Worlds can be bought separately or as a pack (the prices varies).

Important Tips & Tricks for Rail Rush

Don’t waste your nuggets – it is hard to collect them so it’s better to save them for permanent upgrades or Heroes.

If you don’t mind installing various apps on your device you should check the game’s offers for free Gold Nuggets. They give a fair amount of them in exchange for an app installation.

Always complete the daily challenges. The reward is big.

A great starter hero would be Ace Upsleave because the nuggets he collects are worth 10% more or Pancho Bomba because he launches bombs to generate extra nuggets.

Always try to get the Egg even though that means a certain death. If you did not just beat your highscore or something like that go for it. The Egg may be empty but if you are lucky it will be not.

Pick up gems only when it is safe to do so. They represent a fancy bundle of nuggets, nothing more.

Always pay attention to the tracks. If one of the left or right tracks curves randomly at 90 degrees it means that it will lead to a Secret Level. And you are not wrong –

Secret Levels are full of Gold Nuggets and other treasuries.

In order to level up you must complete missions. Keep an eye on the missions because they are fairly easy to do and every level up offers you more Gold Nuggets.

Shop

Besides the Gold Nuggets, there are 3 other categories you can find browsing the shop.

Heroes – There are currently 15 heroes available for the player to control (including the one you unlocked by default). Each hero offers the player a game advantage (for example if you buy Julie Braveheart she will destroy wooden upper and lower obstacles with her sword). The majority of heroes can be unlocked with Gold Nuggets but some of them cost real-money only. Some of the heroes are unlocked (and then available for 15.000 Gold Nuggets) when you buy a locked World so spend your money wisely.

Cart Stuff – As the title says here is the place where you can buy stuff that will improve your cart. The steel parts are a permanent addition to your costs but you must pay real money. The wooden parts cost Gold Nuggets. They are a lot and they are rather expensive so make sure you know what they do: Magnet Force – it attracts nuggets for the whole run, Super Magnet Force – it attracts all bonuses for the whole run, Wood Ram – It destroys ONE lower obstacle, Iron Ram – It destroys TWO lower brackets, Wood Grid – It destroys ONE upper obstacle, Iron Grid – It destroys TWO upper obstacles, Wood Left/Right Spikes – It destroys ONE Left/Right obstacle, Iron Left/Right Spikes – it destroys TWO Left/Right Spikes.

Extras – If you feel you don’t have enough power you can buy some Extras from the Shop. The most popular Extra is undoubtedly the “Second Chance” which fortunately costs Gold Nuggets not real money. You can also buy Trial Passes which you can use later if you want to try locked Heroes or Worlds. There are various other Extras like TNT (it clears away wooden or all obstacles for a certain amount of time – more or less depending what TNT you buy), Steam Power (it gives you extra speed for an amount of time), Brakes (it slows your cart for an amount of time) or you can even bypass the Missions you currently have by unlocking them from here.

Rail Rush Review

Even from the beginning of the game I got the feeling that I will enjoy Rail Rush. The menu is nicely colored and welcoming. I liked how the tutorial wished me luck after its completion – it is like it knew I will fail. In 20 seconds I tried to reach some nuggets and fell into the black abyss underneath. The next run I reached about 400m and then I saw that my character wears a fedora and that got me distracted and I face-planted a rock. In the 100th run I was so concentrated on finding a secret level that I did not see that the track ends. My point it’s that you will die a lot and it’s going to annoy you a lot. And then you will calm yourself and try again and you will definitely lose the trace of time because this endless runner game called Rail Rush it’s marvelous constructed. There is a lot of content besides the run itself (even the run offers you multiple choices – there are 10 worlds out there ready to be explored and be robbed of their Gold Nuggets) which makes the game great. If I did not convince you to try Rail Rush I think it should be worth mentioning that this game even has a multiplayer where you can compete with another stranger wearing a fedora hat. Or a gun in his hands, it depends on your luck. I honestly believe that this game is a worthy opponent to Temple Run and it is definitely in the Top 3 of its genre.

One of the little tiny things I could find potentially problematic with the game it’s that the difficulty raises too abrupt – I mean it’s a piece of cake for the first 500 meters or so and then the hell unleashes – obstacles everywhere, gold nuggets in impossible corners and stuff like that. I think that they should give a warning before the difficulty increases so dramatically. Rail Rush looks to me like a rollercoaster in difficulty matters. Besides this I cannot find anything that it’s dislikeable about the game.

Ratings

Artwork: I give Rail Rush 9/10 for the artwork. The game looks modern, the graphics are cool and the details of the Worlds are perfect. The animations are not the best I have ever seen but it does not really matter. The hardcore players of this kind of games don’t consider the artwork a deal breaker for as long as the gameplay it’s fine. However I think that the developers didn’t forget about the artwork and made sure that their players will have a nice experience which happened, at least for me.

Music & SFX: The game score 8/10 in this section. Music is not important for this genre. After the first 400-500 meters in the game you will forget all about the music and the sounds – you will try to survive. The SFX are cute and suited for the game theme. There is still room for improvement (like always) but can’t find any major problems.

Story/Originality: 8 out of 10. There are a lot of games of this type but Rail Rush gives the player a unique experience. You have a lot of maps where you can play (each one with a different theme), you can play with various characters. You have a lot of power-ups and various upgrades and there is also an achievement-like option that looks nice. The game does not follow a story like a RPG game would do but the fact that you are able to collect gold nuggets from weird-looking mines is suppressing with no problem the lacking of lore content.

General Gameplay: The game scores 9/10 for this section. Not only Rail Rush is fun but it runs smoothly too. Once you stop tilting the phone randomly or calculate your cart’s trajectory or speed wrong (I should have paid more attention to physics classes) you will have an awesome experience. Rail Rush is suited for every age (even though some cursing coming from an angry father whose score was passed by his 9 years old daughter may occur) and it can be a fun family activity. There are no major bugs or unexpected errors – or at least I did not encounter them. From time to time an ad will pop-up but they are not annoying and easy to close.

Addictiveness: Rail Rush gets 10 out of 10, no discussion allowed. One…more…run…I promise. The game is so addictive that it can harm you 8-hour sleep schedule if you are making the mistake of playing “for a few” before bedtime. Even though it is a game that has the potential of running indefinitely, the fact that it offers the player different tracks, upgrades for the cart, various characters and the possibility of bragging about your score to your friends is impressive. Rail Rush is the definition of addictiveness.

Overall I give Rail Rush 9 out of 10. I am impressed.
