From the makers of Mirrors of Albion, The Tribez and Castlez is bringing an exciting new take on civilization-building games to the table. Free for both iOS and Android, The Tribez and Castlez have averaged an excellent rating of 4 stars from users, and the number of downloads keep piling up day after day. “What’s their secret to their success?”, you may ask. If you really want to know the answer to that question, download The Tribez and Castlez right now! Go ahead, I can wait.
The first thing you’ll notice upon opening The Tribez and Castlez is the absolutely gorgeous artstyle, which is abundant throughout the entire game. The second thing you’ll notice is the appropriately themed, and surprisingly smooth soundtrack that plays in the background. Many free apps feature a soundtrack that loops constantly and has a glaring break between each loop, but not The Tribez and Castlez! Game Insight, the creators of The Tribez and Castlez, definitely took time to polish their creation, down to the smallest details.
As you begin the game, you’ll be introduced to the main premise and plot by a short cutscene, followed by a rather amusing tutorial. Your guide through the game, Lady Aurora, will teach you all there is to know about ruling and expanding your kingdom. If you follow her instructions, you’ll have a firm grasp of the basic concepts in no time flat. The Tribez and Castlez has a very shallow learning curve and an easily learned interface, which means that absolutely anybody who’s able to read can play it, old or young.
Some of the tasks you’ll have to undertake in The Tribez and Castlez are construction, farming, upgrade management, and wealth management. The three main resources in The Tribez and Castlez are gold, wood, and food, which means your expansion is dependent on the amount of those resources you have. You will also unlock certain expansion features (building defenses or more huts) depending on the quests you have completed, which is something we will discuss in just a moment.
You also have a special, additional resource, which is your stash of magical gems, which decrease waiting times on construction or upgrades. These magical gems can be obtained by completing special tasks/quests, or via IAP (In-App Purchases). There are a few items you can pick up while you play The Tribez and Castlez that will make IAP more worthwhile, such as Bank Notes, which award you 30% more gems when you purchase them with IAP. If you wish to complete The Tribez and Castlez without having to wait for buildings or upgrades to be completed, I definitely suggest taking advantage of IAPs.
To increase your power and influence within The Tribez and Castlez, you will have to complete quests and small tasks. These tasks can be as simple as upgrading a building, or they could contain multiple goals which have to be met before you complete the quest, such as clearing a space for farms, building farms, then upgrading them. Whatever your task may be, you can be sure that you directly benefit from completing them; you can be awarded by unlocking new functions within the game, or with resources.
If you are sitting at home playing The Tribez and Castlez, you might be having fun, but you soon will end up needing gems, gold, and food to continue getting the items you need for the game. You can get the gems, gold, and food in the app store, but these items cost real money in the app store, and those purchases can really add up quickly. If you want to get the gems, gold, and food without spending money, then you need to check out our free The Tribez and Castlez hack tool.
If you look at the image below, you will be able to see how the The Tribez and Castlez hack tool is setup. The options menu is where you enter the amounts of gems, gold, and food that you want to add to your gaming account.
Simply download the The Tribez and Castlez hack tool, which takes around 20 seconds. The hack tool automatically installs, which also takes around 20 seconds. After that has completed, choose either iOS or Android, and then input the amounts of gems, gold, and food that you want to add.
Press “Start” to begin the hack tool, which takes around 30 seconds, and then just open the app on your device, and you will see the items have been added to your account. You can use this hack tool as many times as you want to get the gold, gems, and food that you need to continue playing The Tribez and Castlez without spending any money in the app store.
Faster Construction and Upgrades- You can speed up your construction and upgrade waiting times by using your magic gems. These will run out quickly if you’re not careful, so make sure to take advantage of IAPs or complete as many quests as you can (which will possibly reward magic gems).
Increasing Your Workforce- Think about it; the only way to get things done in The Tribez and Castlez is by using workers and tasking them to whatever job needs doing. If you have few workers, you will achieve your goals at a very slow pace. Building as many hovels and huts as you can will increase your workforce population, allowing you to reach your goals at a faster rate, and collect more resources for you to spend.
Daily Reward- The Tribez and Castlez rewards you for logging in to play each day, so why not log in even if you don’t plan on playing? Simply opening the app to collect your reward and “quick collecting” your resources will put you far ahead with minimal effort and time spent. If you don’t know the secret of how to “quick collect” resources already, just look in the bottom-right corner of the game screen and tap the button that portrays a hand grabbing a coin; this will instantly collect all of your resources that are ready to be harvested.
Mushrooms- Need food in a hurry? Tap a mushroom; these plants are secretly nature’s food factories, and they provide about 7 food per mushroom. Most people don’t realize the extent of environment interaction available in The Tribez and Castlez, and simply never notice all of the little secrets in the game; luckily for you, we’ve compiled them all for your here.
The Tribez and Castlez is an example of a game that achieves the goal of being a perfect archetype of its genre; I truly believe that The Tribez and Castlez is the best point-and-tap civilization building game available on the App Store. Other apps boast substandard graphics and art, meh soundtracks, and a boring interface. The Tribez and Castlez brings a fresh twist to the game by focusing on both game mechanics and aesthetics; this makes for a game that is both intellectually engaging and pleasing to the eye. Whenever I open an app, I expect to be wowed, and The Tribez and Castlez does just that, starting from the very first cutscene.
The art style in The Tribez and Castlez is very colorful, cartoon-y, and provides crystal-clear definition. The Tribez and Castlez’s art combines with its near-perfect soundtrack to make this app a piece of art. The devs also incorporated some amazingly corny humor and snark into the dialogue between characters, which adds to the overall experience of The Tribez and Castlez. If I had to pick a game to play when I’m feeling down in the dumps, I’d definitely pick The Tribez and Castlez to cheer me up.
Even though I’ve given The Tribez and Castlez excessive praise, I do have some small complaints. The magical gems you can use to speed up waiting times are just too scarce. I understand that the devs need to make money off of their creation, but I think there should be more opportunities to gain gems without IAP. With that being said, I think the asking price for gems in The Tribez and Castlez is quite justified, and isn’t a total rip-off like most other apps. The opportunity to find items that earn you more gems with IAPs really takes the sting out of spending money on a free app, which is a definite plus.
Artstyle- The artwork in The Tribez and Castlez is really quite impressive. You can tell right away that much effort was put into this aspect of the The Tribez and Castlez, and it’s definitely of higher quality than most other games in the App Store. I’ll give the artwork a rating of 10/10.
Music/SFX- The soundtrack and SFX in The Tribez and Castlez is once again something to behold. While the aural elements of The Tribez and Castlez may not me up to John Williams’ standard, I definitely think it deserves praise. The SFX aren’t obnoxious by any means, and they only add to The Tribez and Castlez rather than take away from it. Music/SFX gets a 9/10 from me.
Story/Originality– Game Insight definitely tailored the dialogue to be witty and quite entertaining, but the “story” is somewhat lacking. As for originality, The Tribez and Castlez is almost exactly like its predecessor, The Tribez. Because of this, The Tribez and Castlez takes a hit on the Story/Originality rating, but still scores a decent 6/10
General Gameplay– The Tribez and Castlez has a very simple interface with a small learning curve, which is perfect for gamers of almost any age. I enjoy playing The Tribez and Castlez very much, and none of the activities within the app can be considered “tedious” or “boring”. I have been quite entertained throughout my time playing The Tribez and Castlez, so I will give General Gameplay a rating of 10/10.
Addictiveness- While The Tribez and Castlez is extremely fun to play, I feel satisfied with playing it in moderation. The Tribez and Castlez is neither extremely addicting, nor is it the opposite; The Tribez and Castlez is a game that you can pick up and play, then set down for later without having to consciously limit your time spent playing it. I think The Tribez and Castlez rates a7/10 on the addictiveness scale.
All in all, The Tribez and Castlez is a crazy-fun app that everybody should download. I’d definitely recommend it to friends or family, and I think I will download it again in the future. The Tribez and Castlez deserves an overall rating of 8.5/10.
