Eternity Warriors 3 is a gripping sequel to the previous successes in the Eternity Warriors series. Many games of this sort tend to reuse old stages, and just add a new objective with different minions. Eternity Warriors 3 uses completely new levels for every mission you embark on, which keeps the gameplay fresh as ever, and exciting to play for long periods of time. After all, who likes fighting the same bosses and minions in the same stage? Not me, that’s for sure. Artwork- The artwork in Eternity Warriors 3 is fairly good; I think the artists managed to get the mood of the scenery just right, but the overall visual definition is rather standard and not overly impressive. This sacrifice serves the purpose of letting the game run smoothly, but it still takes away from the overall artwork score by a few points. Artwork deserves a 7/10.
Music/SFX- The music in this game is very good for a free release, but it cuts out after a while of staying on the same screen or menu. This is an issue that can be solved by the tip in the Cheats segment of this review, but it is annoying to fix nonetheless. The SFX are very decent on the other hand, and I hold no issue with them. Music/SFX receives a rating of 8/10.
Story/Originality- The story of the land of Udar can be hard to follow if you haven’t played the Eternity Warrior series, but once you know the basis, it is a gripping tale being played out as you defeat demonic minions of darkness. Glu Games Inc have shown their genius in the originality of the upgrade system, which is completely exclusive to Eternity Warriors 3. The Story/Originality rating would definitely have to be a 9/10
General Gameplay– Eternity Warriors 3 is an absolute pleasure to play, both in long, back to back sessions, and on the go. You could easily whip out your phone for some demon-slaying goodness while you’re on the bus or subway, and finish before you come to your stop. Aside from convenience, I think Eternity Warriors 3 has great value in terms of actual enjoyment from playing the game; combine this with the fact that Eternity Warriors 3 is completely free, and we have a winner! General Gameplay deserves a 10/10.
Addictiveness– Eternity Warriors 3 is a game that stands up well to continuous play, and frequent gaming sessions. With each mission you complete, you’ll find yourself moving on to the next, promising yourself each time that “this mission will be my last, and then I’ll find something else to do”. Yeah, that’s not going to happen. Addictiveness scores a 10/10.
