Traffic Racer is a racing game which is available for mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones, which are running Google’s Android operating system or Apple’s iOS operating system. Since its release on on 7th of April, 2015, by Soner Kara, Traffic Racer has managed to reach over fifty million downloads on Android alone. Traffic Racer has been increasing in popularity ever since its release – most probably because of the immersive experience which it provides. The game is known as a ‘freemium’ application, which means it is entirely free to download, install and play, but it does feature a handful of in app purchases. These in app purchases do cost the user real life currency to unlock. However, every single in app purchase is completely optional and does not need to be purchased to play the game. They are simply there just in case the user feels the need to purchase more in game currency or anything else of the sorts. There are also third party advertisements which are displayed throughout some parts of the game but they should not generally affect standard gameplay. They only appear in menus or after the game has been completed.
Users can find themselves driving their own customised cars through the highway traffic in order to earn in game cash. These races are potentially endless, as long as the user has enough playing skill to keep the game running. After completing these races, users are awarded cash based on their performance which can then be exchanged for new in game cars as well as in game car upgrades. The game can be experienced in five different virtual environments, once unlocked, and all of which feature three dimensional graphics. All of the thirty one different cars handle very smoothly, and all have unique features. There are five game modes which the user can choose from; Endless, Two-Way, Time Trial, Police Chase and Free Ride. Some of these modes must be unlocked through general gameplay before the user is able to access them. There are a wide range of Non-Playing Character (NPC) traffic members, including cars, busses, and trucks. Users can customise their cars using different wheels and paintwork. On top of this, there is also an online highscores leaderboard, where users can compete to be the best, as well as achievements which the user can try their best to unlock.
Getting started within the Traffic Racer app is extremely simple, straightforward and easy. There is virtually no story line, and the ‘tutorial’ is a very quick one. The user can jump straight into their chosen mode of gameplay, and then the game will highlight where to press to accelerate and decelerate. That is it – the user is then free to play and earn in game cash to upgrade their in game vehicles. Users of Traffic Racer should pick up the basics in next to no time, so there is no tutorial really required, here.
The gameplay features are as follows: tilt the device or touch the device to steer the vehicle, touch the gas button to speed up, and touch the brake button to slow down. That is all the user needs to know to play the game. It is extremely simple.
Traffic Racer can be a very addictive game, which is a good thing, except for the fact that you need a lot of cash, gems, coins, and all cars to continue playing the game and getting items you need. All of these items can be purchased through the app store, but this costs real money, and that expense really adds up quickly. Due to the popularity of Traffic Racer, we have decided to add the game to our hack database, which means you can get the cash, gems, coins, and all cars for free.
If you check out the image below, you will see how simple the Traffic Racer hack tool is to use, and you will notice all you have to do is input the amounts of gems, cash, all cars, and coins that you want on the options menu.
Simply download our Traffic Racer hack tool from our website, wait 30 seconds while it downloads, and then wait about 30 seconds while it automatically installs. After this, select either Android or iOS, and then enter the amounts of each item that you want to add to your account.
When you are ready, all you have to do is tap on “Start” to begin the hack tool, and this process will take under 40 seconds to complete. Finally, open up the game as normal on your device, and the cash, gems, coins, and all cars will be in your account ready to use. You can use our hack tool as many times as you want to get the items without spending a penny.
Although this cannot really be classed as a cheat, there is a good tip which allows the user to score extra points, which in turn will increase their in game cash. The user should drive as fast as they possibly can, because although it may seem harder, this is one of the easiest ways to increase the amount of points and in game cash earned. As well as this, if a user is going over one hundred kilometers per hour, then they should overtake cars as close as they can – this gives bonus points.
If the user is playing in two-way mode, driving on the opposite side (in the way of oncoming traffic) then they will earn more points, and therefore more in game cash.
There are no ways of manipulating the game files to change unlocked features and in game cash. Earning cash, unlocking features and earning a high score is all down to the user’s playing style – there are no cheats available for this game.
Traffic Racer provides a greatly immersive experience, for me, while playing. I felt as if I was actually part of the game, rather than someone who is just tapping a screen for a bit of entertainment whilst wasting time. The game is extremely fun, and it made me feel as if I was actually racing down a highway in an old van which is going one hundred kilometers per hour – it was great! It felt like every move I took was dependant on how much currency I will be receiving and if I was to crash in game, it almost gave me the guilt of a real life crash! The game bought me the immersive experience that not all racing games are able to do, especially for mobile platforms. I believe this was due to how faced paced things are, especially once my car reaches its maximum speed, combined with fantastic graphical artwork and brilliant sound effects. The developer of Traffic Racer has done a fantastic job here, and kept me feeling immersed throughout every second that I played.
All of the user interfaces within Traffic Racer are very good, but not quite perfect. Some of the buttons were a little too small, for my personal liking, and when they are close together it becomes hard to press the right one. For instance, if I want to go to the options, by selecting the options button, I sometimes click main menu and end up losing all of my progress because the buttons were a little too small and not spaced out enough. I am pleased to see that everything within menus is responsive when pressed correctly, though. However, on most occasions I did not have any issues with clicking the wrong button – although it is something that needs a little bit of attention. I’m glad that the buttons, text, and menus do not look odd or out of place, and they match the rest of the art style very well. Overall, I believe that the developers of Traffic Racer have done a good job in this department, but not quite an excellent or perfect job.
I am very pleased with the artwork which has been made for the Traffic Racer game. It suits the style and genré of the game perfectly – I have no issues with any of the designs whatsoever. I am extremely pleased (aesthetically) with how well everything matches with each other, and every design has been made in sync with previous ones – this means that nothing ends up looking odd or out of place. The designs are fairly realistic and of a lovely high detail, which is perfect for a racing game – it is something that really adds to the gameplay very well, as well as adding to the immersive experience. The detail makes sure that nothing looks too bland or boring and nothing gets stale after playing for some time. I’m glad things are of a high definition here, because it really does add to the immersivity of the game. However, if there was any more detail, or if things were simplified, I just do not think the game would be half as good as it is now. As of now it is perfect. I feel as if the artwork can be appreciated by a whole wide range of ages, including younger audiences, teens, adults and even some members of the elderly alike. The artwork is my favorite feature by far of the game – the developers have done a fantastic job in this department. The artwork really stood out to me and it fits Traffic Racer perfectly.
I am very pleased with how the developers have handled the advertisements within Traffic Racer. None of the third party advertisements are shown when playing the game – only in menus or option screens. This is great, because it means that I am not distracted when I am playing. This is something which I can greatly appreciate, and I am sure other users can too. I am glad that there are not full screen pop up advertisements which could really ruin the game. They do not distract me from gameplay, which is great. I also like how there is the option to remove advertisements – the price is a little too steep, though, but still fairly reasonable. Great job from the developer here.
Artwork: I have to give Traffic Racer a full and solid 10/10 for their artwork. The artwork is really pleasing, and is certainly a strong point for the game – I have had no issues with it whatsoever throughout the whole of the gameplay. I feel that it is appealing to a wide variety of age ranges and the artwork adds to the game to make it feel much more enjoyable than it could have been if the game were to be lacking in this department. I believe that the artwork is one of the most important parts of a game, especially for mobile, and the developer of Traffic Racer has done an adequate job here – the artwork has been mastered. I have no suggestions, nor any recommendations, because it is completely perfect – there are no improvements needed whatsoever.
Music & SFX: I am able to give Trafic Racer an 8/10 for their work with music and sound effects. I think that the music is absolutely brilliant – whilst still fairly quiet and a little mild compared to the sound effects, it does add suspense to the game. I feel that if the music was any louder it would be overpowering, so I think that the developer has done a fantastic job with the audio mixer. I like how the music is not too repetitive and draining after a while – it also does not seem odd or out of place and it fits in perfectly with the genré of game. I also am very pleased with the sound effects – they are realistic and makes crashes and accidents in the game feel a lot more dramatic than they actually are. I think that the sound effects are perfect, but a little repetitive. Every time I crash within Traffic Racer, I am presented with the same sound. It becomes a little boring and stale after a while – I feel there needs to be more sound effects for the same action so that they can be varied a little bit more.
Story & Originality: I am only able to give Traffic Racer a 1/10 for its story and originality. This type of game has been created hundreds, and possibly thousands, of times before. It is really nothing new, and some even feature multiplayer whilst Traffic Racer lacks it. There should be more unique features, like special power ups which have not been done before, for it to be any more original. Unfortunately, as of now, it is practically not unique at all. There is also no story line – Traffic Racer does not tell me who my character is, what my character is and why it is racing wildly through a highway. Most importantly, it does not give me a reason to play since there is no storyline. The graphics is the only part that makes this game feel a little more unique than others. This is something that the developer has been a bit lazy with – it feels like they have copied other games and swapped out the other app’s graphics for some of their own.
General Gameplay: I am able to give Traffic Racer a strong 9/10 for the general gameplay aspect of things. I feel as if the game is extremely fun to play, and this is most likely due to how immersive the gameplay really is. I also feel that the amazingly detailed graphics is a great addition, making the game more fun to play. It is great how smooth the handling of the cars are, as well as how responsive everything else is within the game. Because of how beautifully seamless things are, like the graphics fitting in well with the sound effects and music, this also makes the game much more enjoyable to play than it could have otherwise been. The only reason I cannot give Traffic Racer a full ten here is because there is virtually no story line. I feel that just a small introductory letter to the user from another non-playing character would see fit here, and I would then be able to give a full ten. As of now, I cannot.
Addictiveness: This is another strong point for Traffic Racer, so I am able to give an 9/10 for addictiveness. Because the only way of earning in game cash, and unlocking new cars and features, is through gameplay – it means that I will most likely be playing the game in any spare time that I get. After having a think about the game, and then realising how fun it actually is, I can end up playing for a long span of time – even when I planned on just playing for a couple of minutes. I think the beautiful graphics, wonderful music, perfect sound effects and buttery smooth responsiveness all adds to this category, and makes me want to play even more just so I have more time to appreciate it. However, there is no persistent reminder so that I actually know the game is there – I feel an occasional notification would suffice, but definitely nothing too frequent. Traffic Racer is most certainly an addictive game, but I just can’t give the full ten because I do sometimes forget about it if I am immersed by another game for some time.
Overall, I give Traffic Racer a 7/10.
