Do you wish you could have a talking cat in real life? Well, science isn’t there yet, but there is a second solution in the form of Talking Tom Cat 2!
Talking Tom Cat 2 is a game by Outfit7, the developer who has created many other games in the Talking X style. Some notable mentions among the many games they made are Talking Angela, Talking Ben and Talking Santa and of course the original Talking Tom. They are also the developers behind Swamp Attack.
Talking Tom Cat 2 is rated 4.3/5 stars on the Google Play Store, while ranking 4.5/5 stars on it’s most downloaded version on the Apple App Store, with hundred millions of downloads on both systems, which is an exceptional amount.
Talking Tom Cat 2 is a game where you are presented with Tom, a talking cat who will gladly be your or your child’s friend and repeat anything you say to him. He will listen to any noise near the phone, so if you tell him something, he will react and listen carefully, until you are done talking. He then will repeat the things you said, but in his own voice. He will also imitate other noises around the phone, like doors shutting or anything loud enough for him to hear.
Other than talking with Tom, you can use various buttons around the screen to trigger situations with Ben, the dog, who will harass Tom. You can order Ben to hit Tom in the head with a pillow, which makes him dizzy, or you can scare Tom with Ben exploding a paperbag behind him, causing Tom to jump up and hang onto the lamp. You can also make Ben fart, so Tom will hold his nose. There is a question mark button, which makes Tom do random things, like pulling out a rose, cake or a yo-yo among others. Tom will also react to you touching his tail or poking his belly for example, with some “funny” reactions.
You can also buy different clothes and items for Tom with gold coins. Coins can be earned by sending an email about Tom, subscribing to the official youtube channel of the game, tweeting about it, downloading sponsored apps and of course watching ad videos.
You can purchase hats, eyewear, accessories, apartments and seasonal items for Tom. They all change the look of either him or his home, but they are only cosmetic things and doesn’t change the way Tom acts.
There is also a minigame available, called Climber Tom, which is a little 2D game inside the main game, where you control Tom’s smaller version and you have to help him jump on huge purple pillars and get as far as you can under 30 seconds.
There is a child mode in Talking Tom Cat 2, which disables some of the ways to earn gold coins and the possibility to record whatever Tom is doing, along with the buttons to get to the game’s youtube channel, to not cause unnecesary data usage.
The game also has constant ads in it, which almost never disappear from the top of the screen. If a child is using the app, be careful that they might tap on the ads.
Gold coins and ugprade packs are essential for Talking Tom Cat 2, but these items cost real money through the app store. If you are like most people, you cannot afford to spend your hard-earned money on in-game purchases. This is why we have decided to add a hack for Talking Tom Cat 2, which gives you the upgrade packs and gold coins for free.
Check out the below image, which shows you what the Talking Tom Cat 2 hack tool looks like, and all you have to do is enter the amounts of each item that you want right there in the options menu.
If you would like to get the upgrade packs and gold coins for free, the first thing you need to do is download our free generator, which takes 20 seconds. You will notice the generator automatically installs after the download has completed, and this takes about 20 seconds to finish. Once that is done, simply select either iOS or Android, and then enter the amounts of gold coins and upgrade packs that you want in your gaming account.
Finally, when you are ready to begin, you can click on ”Start” to begin the hack tool, and this takes around 30 seconds to finish. Remember, all of the times are dependent on your internet connection and device, so it might be a little shorter or longer for you. Once it has finished, open up the game on your device, and both the gold coins and ugprade packs will be sitting in your account ready to use.
Cheats in Talking Tom Cat 2 are not something you can really find, as the gameplay is very simple and there is no difficulty at all. As for gathering gold, if your child really wants to buy a hat or something for Tom, you should visit the given links ingame, which all provide you with free gold.
As for tips, probably the best thing to do when you start this game is turning on child mode, which locks some of the functions of the game and can save you a lot of unnecesary data usage when giving it to a small child.
Remember though, that Climber Tom, the minigame can only be accessed in non-child mode, so you’ll have to turn it off to let your children play it.
Well, I don’t even know where to start with this. The game is such a simple concept, that it doesn’t have much going for it. I started Talking Tom Cat 2 up expecting something very mediocre and it delivered.
After I tapped all the buttons possible for all the situations he can do, there was basically nothing else to do. I could spend time gathering gold coins by watching videos or giving views to their social media and youtube, but it’s just not worth it. The game is not rewarding at all. If you unlock a hat for Tom, what happens? Nothing, he just wears it and that’s all. There won’t be real gameplay unlocked suddenly.
Probably the best part of the game was the minigame, Climber Tom, the only one which I actually enjoyed, although it doesn’t offer much variety either in it’s gameplay.
My conclusion is that little children could enjoy this game for a short time, but even they would get bored of it very fast, after the novelty wears off. Sadly, I can’t really say I enjoyed Talking Tom Cat 2.
Artwork: The artwork gets a 7/10 from me in Talking Tom Cat 2. The game looks alright, it uses the same style all other games like this do. There isn’t really much to say about it, other than the fact that it looks somewhat like a child’s 3D cartoon. Probably the artwork is what carries this game the most.
Music & SFX: The game gets a 4/10 for the SFX. This rating is only for the sound effects, as the game doesn’t have music of any kind. This is probably because Tom would be harder to hear talking otherwise and he would have more trouble with listening to noises if music played at the same time. Most sound effects are fine though, but nothing exceptional. The voice of Tom is weird and doesn’t really sound that good though, it’s more creepy than fun.
Story & Originality: The “story” gets a 5/10. The game doesn’t really have a story. As for originality, it might be called original, as it’s predecessor was one of the games that started out the avalanche of these type of games, but there are just so many of them already that it’s just not impressive anymore.
General Gameplay: Talking Tom Cat 2’s gameplay gets a 4/10 from me. There is just really not much to do in this game. Small children might enjoy it for 10 minutes, but afterwards there is really nothing to come back for. Tom only does 6-7 different things other than talking back and it can be easily get bored of.
Addictiveness: The game’s addictiveness gets a 3/10. There is simple just nothing to come back for. You can dress Tom up and listen to him repeat what you say, or watch some of the situations he can do, but they all repeat themselves and in 5-10 minutes you’ve already seen all it has to offer.
Overall Score: 4/10.
