I really liked the fact that Sniper 3D Assassin started with a tutorial, which teaches you the basics of the game. The controls can be pretty difficult for casual mobile gamers, and it took me some getting used to, but with the tutorial, you will get the hang of it. It is nice to see that Sniper 3D Assassin uses the Tilt System to aim for your targets. This makes the game feel more realistic, and you really need to sit upright and aim precisely by tilting your screen, if you want to take a clear shot on your target. In Sniper 3D Assassin, there are a lot of unlockable weapons and all the upgrades that come with them. You cannot customize weapons, but this is not needed in a game such as this. There are two different types of missions, and the game is absolutely packed with levels, so you can play as much as you want. The graphics are pretty good and the sound effects are realistic, making the game very enjoyable to play.

It is very refreshing to see that the developers of Sniper 3D Assassin did not implement any kind of advertisements into the game. This means that you will not be annoyed or obstructed by ads showing up during your gameplay, or even at the main menu. I totally understand when developers implement ads into their games, especially when it is a free-to-play game, but many developers go on about this the wrong way. They usually place the banner ads at a very weird place, which really obstructs the playing field. Don’t get me started about pop-up advertisements showing up exactly at the time when you are needed to tap on your screen. Having no advertisements is one of the most positive aspects about Sniper 3D Assassins. It makes the gameplay that much more enjoyable and entertaining.

Unfortunately, there are also several negative aspects about Sniper 3D Assassin. For starters, the developers have implemented an energy bar system, which really limits the playtime for players. Playing a mission costs one energy bolt and you have ten energy bolts to begin with. If you fail at a mission and want to restart it, it will also cost one energy bolt. Of course your energy bar replenishes itself when you level up, but later on in the game, this is very hard to achieve. You can either spend premium diamonds to replenish your energy bar, or you will have to wait ten minutes for one energy bolt to replenish automatically. This makes it feel like the developers try to force players into paying real money, in order to be able to play the game. I really dislike it when developers limit playtime for players because it simply punishes loyal players and will turn them off from the game.

The second negative aspect about Sniper 3D Assassin is the fact that not all weapons are purchasable with gold coins. Many powerful weapons are only purchasable with diamonds, and a lot of them at that. This means that you either need to save up for a long time to be able to purchase only one premium weapon, or you will have to spend real money to be able to purchase them. This makes the game feel like a cash grab and it is a system that has been implemented in many free-to-play games.

Artwork: I give Sniper 3D Assassin an 8/10 for its artwork. Sniper 3D Assassin has very nice graphics and animations, especially considering that it is a mobile game. The game has a lot of levels in it, and each level is differently designed, which means that the developers have spent a lot of time on designing and animating the gameplay. I really like the fact that there are many different weapons in Sniper 3D Assassin, and each and every one of those weapons are very nicely designed and very detailed. Next to your target, there are also other characters walking around on the scenes, which makes the game feel alive. There are many animations and special effects, but I especially like the one where the bullet shoots out in slow-motion from your rifle and flies towards your target. The developers did a very good job with the artwork of this game.

Music & SFX: I give Sniper 3D Assassin a 7/10 for its music and SFX. The game features several different soundtracks and a lot of sound effects, which is very nice because it keeps players entertained and makes them less prone to getting bored. I like the fact that the main menu has a different soundtrack and the gameplay itself have different soundtracks. It is just unfortunate that the soundtracks do not really fit the overall theme of the game, which is you being a sniper assassin. It was nice to hear all the different sound effects in the game, especially the gunfire SFX, which is pretty realistic in my opinion. The soundtracks and sound effects combined are above average of quality, easy on the ears and fitted together very nicely.

Story & Originality: I give Sniper 3D Assassin a 5/10 for its story and originality. It is sad to see that mobile game developers simply copy game ideas from each other. I can name five games out of the top of my head that have very similar gameplay, in-game purchases and game mechanics, which is very unfortunate. I feel like developers should be creative and developer new ideas and implement them into their games. Right now, the game is not original at all and there is no story in it. I will cut it some slack because the gameplay is decent, which is nice.

General Gameplay: I give Sniper 3D Assassin an 8/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in Sniper 3D Assassin starts with a nice tutorial, showing you how to play the game and how to control your character. You will also see the different types of weapons, learn how to upgrade them and learn about different types of missions. After the tutorial ends, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward, but in my opinion it remains very entertaining and fun to play. There are many weapons you can unlock and many levels which you can play. The controls are smooth and responsive and the user interface is clear and of high quality.

Addictiveness: I give Sniper 3D Assassin a 7/10 for addictiveness. Because of the graphics and general gameplay, the addictiveness level is pretty high for me. The only problem is the fact that the developers implemented an energy bar system that really limits the playtime for players. In my opinion, developers should never limit the playtime for players because it can be a real turn off for people who do not have the patience or the money to keep playing the game. Instead of an energy system, the developers should implement a different kind system if they want to make money with their free-to-play game.

All things considered, I give Sniper 3D Assassin a 7/10.
