Ava also has the option to be able to dance in a couple dances, for example ballet and the hula show. There are a ton of dresses that players can purchase using the currency, flowers. The ways in order to get more flowers is a bit slow and will be explained in more detail in the Cheats and Tips section. After players decide which dress they want on Ava, they can take pictures using the device’s camera to share on Facebook or Twitter or simply save it for the memories.
Just as all little girls have wanted to do is taking care of a doll by feeding her whatever they desire as well as taking care of her through getting Ava to the restroom whenever she needs to go. At the end of the day, you will also be able to tuck Ava into bed and Ava will be available the next morning through her own alarm clock.
During the day, you have the ability to play with Ava through several different venues. You can help brush her teeth as well as giving her a bath, even though it might seem a bit weird to parents, it is perfectly normal for a child to do this. One of the biggest aspects of the game is planting the flowers that you get to see grow over time. This could definitely teach kids that they need to water the flowers every single day in order for them to grow and stay attentive on the flowers until they grow. A lot of people aren’t going to buy this game in order to try and be the best at it, but rather just trying to look to get a couple of outfits that they would absolutely love for themselves.
Another thing to mention is that a bunch of this game is really more of a waiting game rather than an active game that you play some sort of minigame in order to gain a couple of bucks off hand based off of your skill. What I mean when I say that it is a waiting game, is that you get a ton of money when you wait in order to get the clothes that you want. There aren’t really any other possibilities that are available of how to get cash. The only real way that you are gonna get any cash is by going to the mini games and making sure that you get as much money as you can from that. So it’s kind of similar to clash of clans where you are just gathering the cash that you need to get something new after a good while.
There also are some small mini games that are available if you want to earn some extra cash on the side. If there was a kind of mini game available that relied on some skill in order to earn a good amount of cash, there would be more tips available, but because of this game’s nature, there aren’t really any tips that I can give.
The games involve either guessing left or right hand or playing a bit of rock paper scissors. So how many tips can I give you about this game? Pretty much nothing, it is a lot based off of luck whether you will win or not, and in order to earn more flowers, you will have to win in these mini games which is pretty hard, so the only way that you really will get flowers effectively is by buying the flowers using real money. I know that it might not feel right to get your child a couple of virtual clothes for an online doll, but imagine all of that money that moms spent before on dolls for their children. This single doll offers a ton of different dresses for a bit of extra money, so all in all it is much more worth it than actually getting a doll for them who only has one dress instead of having the option to have multiple different dresses for the same doll. If you are worried that your child will get bored of the doll and will just quit soon after and you will have wasted money, don’t think about it that way. Even if you gave her a real doll, she would get just as bored from the plain single dress doll as she would if not less than a virtual doll that they would have to work for in order to get the dress that she wants. So I highly recommend that you get her the in app purchase if she really wants it.
The actual visuals of the game aren’t too bad, but the game itself is actually an extremely difficult one. The currency of flowers that I talked about before, are way too hard to get and the mini games are essentially guessing games where you have to try and guess in order to try and get some flowers in order to purchase what you want. For me, this makes the game extremely slow and boring because it doesn’t really have anything to add other than having this girl in a dress and making her dance or anything like that. Ava the 3D doll is such an odd game in my opinion. For small children, this is probably just like getting a doll in real life, but in my opinion, the benefits of Ava the 3D Doll are really nothing because you don’t really get to do much with the limited flowers that you get.
Overall, I could see this game working and getting addicting to kids who want it all when it comes to getting all of the dresses, but I feel like parents would feel like they would have to resort to using real money in order to satisfy their child’s need to get every single dress in the game. It really loses out on its attractiveness to kids who are older because it’s like giving a doll to a middle school boy. What is he going to do with it? He’s going to throw it out. I feel like with this genre of games, it does not have a way to appeal to a decently large age group, if not a whole gender.
Artwork: I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 8/10. The actual artwork on the girl is pretty, and it has to be or else this game would get really low ratings. First of all, you are looking to dress up your girl the best that kids can really enjoy the game more. So the artwork has to be pretty decent so that you can see your own girl and see the difference between each cloth. Also, the graphics of each other character is also okay, but it isn’t great. I don’t really have any arguments about the artwork, but the rest of the game is pretty okay, at least for kids. For me, the girl is actually really creepy with her eternally thin neck and over sized head in comparison.
Music and SFX: I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 3/10 because the music and sound effects really suck. The music is not really that exciting and it doesn’t really add to the game and is super cheesy, but I can imagine that it is fine for children because they wouldn’t really know what cheesy is until they have heard the same noise over and over again when they water the flowers. I think that if the game offered more of a realistic experience and had some lighter music when you dress the girl, it might be a bit better, but I still can’t imagine the game being any better. If the game had some ability to make the sound effects a bit less cheesy, it also might be a bit better, but I think that having any kind of music or sound effect, wouldn’t be very good at all.
Story and Originality: I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 2/10. There really is no story about Ava the 3D Doll other than trying to get the best clothes. I’m not really sure that is a storyline, but I don’t think so, so that is why I gave it that rating. It is really poor when it comes to it being a good storyline or anything. I think that the game itself is a poor design and makes the story really awful. So I’m not sure whether the story of the game is to get Ava in the best clothes as possible or something like that In terms of originality, the game is similar to other games because the games are used to design a girl. It’s actually really odd to have both of those, but I guess it is original in of itself.
General Gameplay: I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 5/10. There are quite a few really basic games that you can play while also getting flowers for doing so, but what makes it suck is the slow progress that you make when you try and get enough flowers to try and get a dress of some sort. There is really just no avenue to get these clothes other than pretty much buying it, which is probably what the producers of the game were banking for when it came to trying to profit from Ava the 3D Doll.
Addictiveness: I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 3/10. It’s not very fun and it is also a waiting game, which I talked about before. It is really not exciting and doesn’t have any kind of mini game to make it more exciting and for a time to spend while waiting for the next three hours. If the game had some kind of better mini game attached to it, then maybe it is a little more fun, but other than that, it is really bad and not fun to play.
Overall Rating: Overall, I would give Ava the 3D Doll a 6/10.
