Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire Hack for Pearls, Gold, Food & Wood

Are you a fan of Gladiator movies such as the 300 series or Gladiator, then you should really enjoy Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire. Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire is a MMO RPG with city building elements thrown into which may sound like a lot to put into one mobile game, and it is. In this game you will be tasked with building up your own kingdom, training an army of warriors to battle for you, form alliances, and plot out strategic ways to battle and defeat thousands of other online players. While this may sound like a fun game to play, it just isn’t all put together very well and it feels very cluttered and repetitive. Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire however does have over 10 million downloads and has an overall rating o 4.1 out of 5 stars on the Google Play Store.

Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire does not have compatibility with Google Play Games, Apple Gamecenter, although you can connect the game to Facebook to share your progress and invite friends to play the game with you. It does however have its own online leader boards that can be accessed once you verify your account with your email address.

The game starts you off with an incredibly long, boring, and confusing tutorial that takes at least 30 minutes to complete, The tutorial will have you set up your city by building a few essential buildings, train troops and engage in a battle with them, as well as introduce you to other aspects of the game such as worshiping and sacrificing Gods. Upon completion of the tutorial however I felt just as lost as I did before with the seemingly endless amount of small and cluttered icons that I have no idea what their purpose in the game is. After a few minutes of randomly clicking on the icons hoping to trigger some sort of quest or event, I was unable to do anything of the sort so I ventured online to attempt to find a guide or something to help walk me through the game but unfortunately I could not find anything of the sort. Eventually after about 10 more minutes of messing around with the game I was able to locate a menu that showed me some tasks to complete, but it should not be that challenging just to find a menu that is essential to the game play of a game. By clicking the compass icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen 9 new icons will appear and among those is the quest icon. Clicking on this will bring you to a screen which will display the quests that you need to complete to progress in the game. Once you complete a task you must go back to the quest menu to collect your reward. All of the quests are very similar and they get very boring and repetitive quickly. All of the controls in the game pretty much consist of tapping various buttons to purchase, upgrade, or train different things and none of this is very exciting. Even the Battles are boring as they are just cards with pictures of soldiers on them hitting each other with very minimal animations.

As I have stated before, the user interface is very cluttered and confusing, with hidden menus and plenty of small, sometimes even unlabeled icons. In the upper left hand corner of the screen you will find your profile picture along with your name and current level, clicking on this will take you to a more detailed look at your profile. On the center of the top of the screen you will find a bar which displays your available resources which are gold, food, wood, and stone, as well as pearls which are what is used for purchasing more of the other resources. In the upper right hand corner of the screen you will find a button that will take you to a detailed overview of your cities, underneath this button there is a button with a solider blowing on a bugle as well as a button with a shield icon on it. The bugle button will take you to a menu that will show you various notifications from the game, and the shield icon will take you to a menu with 4 unlabeled icons which contain various rewards and leader boards although navigating to all of these is a very confusing process due to the icons being completely unrelated to what you can access by clicking on them as well as from the lack of labeling. In the lower right hand side of the screen there are 4 more buttons, a compass button, a treasure chest button, a more fancy looking treasure chest button, and a button with an image of a clam with pearls in its mouth on it. Clicking on the clam button will take you to a screen where you can connect your Facebook account, clicking on the fancy treasure chest button will give you a random reward every few minutes, and clicking on the normal treasure chest button will take you to a shop.

Clicking on the compass button will bring up 9 new buttons which are all thankfully labeled. There is a build button which allows you to add new buildings to your cities, an edit button which allows you to edit the placement of your buildings, a quest button which allows you to access your quests, although I really wish this was in an easier place to access as it is the most important thing in the game, a mail button which gives you access to any messages that anybody has sent you, a settings button that takes you to the settings menu, a rank button that will show you the various online leader boards, a Gods button that will take you to a menu where you can view, access, worship, and sacrifice the various Gods that you have available, an items button that allows you to purchase various items that will help you in the game as well as view your item inventory, an army button that allows you to view and make changes to your armed forces, and an alliance button that allows you to create or join alliances with other players.

On the bottom of the screen there is a bar that gives you access to online chat with all of the other players that are online, although it mainly consists of a bunch of 12 year olds fighting with each other and calling everybody names. In the bottom left hand corner of the screen you will find 4 buttons, one which lets you view you training events that are in progress, one that lets you view your building events that are in progress, one that lets you view your military events that are in progress, and a map icon that lets you access various maps of other player’s cities.

Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire is currently on version 1.4.0 and works on both ios and android phones and tablets. It does require that you own either an android device with android version 2.3 gingerbread or later or an ios device running at least ios 5.1.1 or later which gives it a very large pool of compatible devices. It is not a very graphically demanding game so most devices should have no trouble running it as long as they have a compatible operating system.

Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire is free to play however it is definitely not free to enjoy. There are tons and tons of full screen video ads that cannot be minimized until they are through and the items in the game are pretty much impossible to purchase without paying real money. The premium in app currency, pearls, has several different in app purchase options, all of which are quite overpriced. There is a $1.01 option that will get you 30 pearls, a $4.90 option that will get you 150 pearls, a $10.06 option that will get you 300 pearls, a $20.38 option that will get you 720 pearls, a $30.69 option that will get you 1125 pearls, and a $101.62 option that will get you 4800 pearls.

Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire Cheats and Tricks

There are several cheats and tricks that can be used to help you progress faster in Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire. One way to do this is to join a strong alliance as this will get you access to more rewards and experience and it will help you level up quite quickly.

Another trick is to edit the date and time on your phone to finish time based events faster. Honestly however I feel that the best tip that I can give you to help with this game is to find a different game to play as this one is just not very enjoyable at all.

Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire Review

I wish I could tell you how much I enjoyed playing this game as I went into this review enthusiastic about the game as the screenshots and description in the app store seemed promising. However if I said that I enjoyed this game in the slightest amount I would be lying. My enthusiasm for this review died very quickly once I fired the app up and was faced with completing a boring and tedious tutorial that took over 30 minutes to complete and did not teach me anything about playing the game. After completing the tutorial I had to search through the games countless, confusing menus for around 15 more minutes just to figure out what to do. Then I started being bombarded with full screen video ads that I could not get rid of. All of the problems in Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire were just too much and really ruined the game for me.

There really wasn’t much of anything good that this game has going for it, the game play is repetitive and boring and everything in the game is very hard to find and access. The online game play obviously isn’t very competitive as well since after playing the game for about an hour I was already ranked in the top 1000 online. The graphics for your city were fairly decent I guess but that is pretty much the only decent thing that this game has going for it.

I have reviewed a lot of mobile games and this was the first one that made me really want the review to be over as quickly as possible so I could stop playing it. I do not know if it is just my personal preferences but I truly find it hard to believe that somebody could truly enjoy a game like this. Out of every mobile game I have ever reviewed or played, Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire is most definitely my least favorite.

Ratings

Artwork: I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire a 5/10 for its artwork. This was honestly the only part of the game that wasn’t completely terrible. The graphics for your city were fairly decent but besides that, most everything else in the game looked pretty bad and everything was very cluttered and confusing on top of not looking very good.

Music and SFX: I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire a 4/10 for its music and SFX. The music got repetitive very quickly and I eventually had to turn the volume off completely as it started to give me a headache. The sound effects were not very good either although they weren’t as bad as the rest of the game.

Story and Originality: I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire a 3/10 for story and originality. There isn’t much of a story behind the game and there are plenty of other games that are very similar to this one (albeit more entertaining and fun to play) so the overall concept of the game was not very original at all.

General Game Play: I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire a 1/10 for general game play. The game play was very boring, confusing, and repetitive. I did not enjoy it at all.

Addictiveness: I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire 1/10 for addictiveness. The game was very repetitive and boring and you are under a constant onslaught of advertisements which combines for an incredibly unaddictive game play experience.

Overall, I give Spartan Wars: Blood and Fire a 3/10
