Ramboat: Hero Shooting Game is an action game developed by Genera Games, a company known for games like Zombie Hunter, RunBot or Colormania. Ramboat has a rating of 4.1 out of 5.0 on Google Play and 4 and a half stars on Apple’s App Store. It has been downloaded for almost 100,000 times and it requires an Android version of at least 2.3 and for Apple devices, iOS 6.1 or later.
In Ramboat (which is more or less a combination of the words Rambo and boats) you take the role of a character that has been delivered God knows where by God knows who and unfortunately for the enemies it has angry management issues. You need to pass with your self-driving motorboat different levels filled with opponents that have military expertise and want to kill you at any price.
The game has 2 types of resources. The first one is called Coins and you receive it by collecting them and by completing missions or achievements. The other one is called Gems and can be bought only with real money. The price for Coins varies starting up with $10.99 in exchange of 5,000 Coins and going up to $275.03 for 200,000 Coins. Gems are pretty expensive too having a starting price of $10.96 in exchange of 20 Gems and going up to $275.03 for 800 Gems. Also, some of the Gadgets in-game (which can be translated to Power-Ups) are costing real money – for example doubling the coins for each round costs $27.48 or getting a wildcard in the poker game event costs $21.99.
Ramboat does not require any sign-up but I would recommend it for security and to ensure no data loss. You can link your Facebook or Google+ account with the game but it is worth mentioning that there are no in-game messages or pop-ups about doing so. Also, there are some ads that are running in the game but with any successful purchase you make, they will be removed permanently.
Ramboat is a very fun action arcade game, but coins and gems are essential to help you get through the game. You can get the gems and coins through the app store, but this costs real money, and it really adds up. If you would like to get the coins and gems for free, then you need to download our free Ramboat hack tool, which you can find right here on our website.
First, look at the image below to get an idea of how the Ramboat hack tool works. Just enter the amounts of gems and coins you would like to get on the options menu.
Download the Ramboat hack tool, which takes about 20 seconds, and then wait 20 seconds while it automatically installs. You then need to select either iOS or Android, and then just type in how many of each item you would like to add to your gaming account.
When you are ready to begin, press “Start” to begin the hack tool, and this takes about 30 seconds to complete. After that has finished, you can open up the game on your device, and the items will already be sitting in your account ready to use.
Try your best in collecting the BONUS letters every day. On the 5th consecutive day you will receive a character called The Gunman. He is overpowered and good-looking, trust me on this.
Keep an eye to the missions. By completing the required objectives you get experience and coins and you really need them for upgrades.
Pay attention to the crates that are dropping from the sky. The majority of them will contain weapons but there can be surprises too.
Be careful. If you take a different weapon from the crates, it will switch places with your current weapon. So if you don’t want to lose the current one (maybe it’s your most upgraded weapon or your favorite) skip the weapon from the crate.
The game is very Action-oriented. Be aware of enemies coming from everywhere. Sky, underwater, both sides – nothing is safe.
The mini-game at the end of a level is not Poker. It may have the same rules but here the only thing that counts is the type of the hand. For example a pair of Kings values the same as a pair of Fours. And that rule is applied to anything.
Unfortunately for someone who gives tips but fortunately for the game, the levels are not pre-defined. You can’t follow a certain winning strategy for upgrading stuff because you must cope with one level at a time. Some of them require more ammunition while some levels are advantaged by a type of weapon. The best idea would be to approach a balanced strategy and upgrade a bit from everything. Or you can risk and go all-in on a weapon and hope for the best.
I believe that every little boy (and even girls) always dreamt of being like Rambo when he was young. A man that destroys an entire army by himself is one of the greatest things a soldier can achieve and for kids that is cool and awesome. Ramboat is the game that does exactly that but here the player is using a boat and to be honest I think it’s more fun this way. For the time I’ve played, I enjoyed the game because it is very challenging and doesn’t let you catch your breath. For an unknown reason, Ramboat is a game that reminds me of Chicken Invaders…maybe because of the weapons variety?
I think that the most important thing about the game is the fact that it is very versatile – I like the fact that in order to unlock the daily reward you must collect the letters that form the word BONUS and you get them one per run or two if you are really lucky. I also like the poker game implementation even though I don’t really understand the connection between the game’s theme and playing poker by myself. The fact that there are dozens of characters, each with his funny description and personality is a great thing as well. I also like that the game is very fluid (I made a water joke, you know, you are in a boat) and the level changes are feeling natural (even though they are very unlikely in real-life).
There are also a few things I don’t like about Ramboat. First of all, the fact that you must pay a lot of real money to buy stuff is disappointing. I know that they want to make money with the game, everybody does but I think that they should have added more purchases options especially some smaller prices for some smaller amounts of resources. If I like the game, I will gladly invest some more in the game but if you ask me to pay from the start $11 for a thing that I may or may not enjoy is not the proper way of doing business. Secondly, even though it is a personal opinion, I think that the fact that you can’t go backwards with your boat unless you stop the acceleration and wait is not very helpful for a fan of action games. It will annoy him, I guarantee it.
Finally, I really don’t like that the weapons are not upgrading when you pick the same type from crates. I know that you can upgrade them from the menus, but collecting the same weapon should reward me in a way or another.
Overall, I would most likely recommend Ramboat to everybody. It is the perfect choice when you need to pass some time and you might even enjoy it.
Artwork: I give Ramboat 8 out of 10 for its artwork. The game is very colorful and cartoonish but it matches the game’s theme because even though it involves a lot of shooting and violence, Ramboat’s purpose is to help the player to relax. The characters are designed in a funny way and each one of them looks original, the environment is nice and it changes a lot and there is a variety of enemies that are also looking awesome. The animations from the game are well-made and they are looking modern even though the graphic engine is not one of the latest. As I said before, the developers are focused on a cartoon theme rather than on a real-action theme so the game’s graphics will undoubtedly reflect that.
Music & SFX: The game gets 9 out of 10 at this section. Ramboat’s music is suited for the game because it sounds like how an action movie would sound. Personally, I am not a fan of it but as long as it matches with the game, I don’t have a problem with it. The sound effects are hilarious – they are very good and they give the game a new face. I like anything starting from the character selection sounds and ending with the way the menus acts when you click them. I don’t know why or how but the developers did a great job choosing these sound effects. Overall, Ramboat is a game that excels in this “department”.
Story/Originality: Ramboat gets 7 out of 10 at this section. As I mentioned for a few times already, this game is basically a Rambo-game with boats. You are not playing with Rambo himself but the characters and the story (which is not really a story) are hinting to that. The game feels authentic but it is not original no matter how hard the developers try. There are a lot of action games that looks like Ramboat but that is just because that’s how action games are looking so that isn’t a big problem. All problems aside, I think that Ramboat is a solid game even though it doesn’t have a proper story.
General Gameplay: I give Ramboat a rating of 7 out of 10. The game is pretty hard to play because the difficulty grows very quickly. You have a tutorial at the beginning that will help you with the controls but that is not enough. You will have to learn how to dodge missiles and bullets and how to survive in a fairly short time and it can be overwhelming. However, after a good amount of runs you will get the hang of the game and you will start to enjoy it. On a darker note, the game has some pretty bad issues with freezes and bugs. From time to time the game freezes out of the blue and makes you lose the level progress (I tested this on 2 different devices, happened on both). I also had a small issue with a mission because the game effectively refused to calculate my killings but it solved by itself after a restart.
Addictiveness: Ramboat gets 7 out of 10 for its addictiveness. The game has a lot of interesting content, a lot of characters, a level-up system (sort-of) and overall a bunch of things to do. However, it is an Action game and those games must be really good to convince a player to continuously play. The developers introduced a daily reward system and different bonuses but I don’t think that it’s enough. Nowadays most of the games have a multiplayer implementation even though they are Action games. On the other hand, I appreciate the fact that even though in Ramboat you basically do the same thing over and over again, the developers managed to create a non-repetitive environment that keeps the game fresh.
Overall, Ramboat gets a rating of 7.6 out of 10. The game is above average and has the potential to be really catchy.
