Cheats & Tips for Zombie Frontier

My first tip for Zombie Frontier is for the first beginning levels of the game.  If you spend a ton of money on the first pistol that you get, you won’t have enough money to buy upgrades to the pistol that you obtain at level 3.  Then, you won’t be able to fend off all the zombies as easily.  So make sure that you are saving your cash in the game so that you can upgrade your pistol at level 3 rather than your level 1 pistol.

Try not to use any kind of grenades unless you absolutely need to.  Make sure that you aren’t using them too often because they cost a good amount of premium currency which costs real money.  This premium currency is gold and the more that you buy if you do buy gold, the more that you get for each dollar that you spend on it.  You can also buy cash using real money, but it isn’t as worth it because you can get cash from simply playing the game.  However, if you don’t feel like spending time grinding out that cash, you can just spend money to speed up the process a bit.  This is the same concept as with med kits.  They cost money, but will get you a full hp bar.

For Zombie Frontier, you will have to get a ton of experience before you start running through the bosses.  The bosses are really tough and they have waves of zombies behind that.  You will have to have a ton of experience killing waves of zombies so that you can then hit the boss without getting hit yourself.  So just make sure that you are able to kill the waves off quickly enough.  

Make sure that you are aiming for the zombies heads because it will do much more damage as well as kill them almost in one shot.  If you don’t hit them in the head, you will soon get surrounded and get destroyed.

For the beginning levels, you will want to use your pistol before you start using your machine gun.  If you do manage to use your pistol to the point where you get to the point where the alarm bell sounds and it says that a large wave is coming, you will be able to start using your machine gun, you can go ahead and use your machine gun to destroy the waves of enemies without dying.  Use your pistol so that you can use your weapons interchangeably because there is a ton of cool downs for the guns where you can switch weapons so that you don’t have to use the gun so that it can reset its cooldown.

You should only reload your guns whenever you see no zombies on the screen.  That means that you won’t be getting surrounded from more zombies so that you can avoid getting destroyed while you are simply reloading your gun.  Switch to your pistol so that you don’t have to begin reload while the zombies at charging at you.

Zombie Frontier Review

Zombie Frontier is a pretty non-HD game.  The pixels are pretty visible in the game and the game seems kind of out of it in terms of comparing it to other games that are out right now.  I think that the game could definitely use some tune up so that it wasn’t as bad for the HD quality of the game.  For the actual gameplay of Zombie Frontier, I did not like how the game wasn’t very mobile.  You weren’t able to move when you are attacked by zombies.  This seems so unrealistic that you could be attacked by a bunch of zombies and you couldn’t even run.  If they made it so that you could run, I feel like the game would be a lot more exciting because you might turn around and the first thing you see is an ugly zombie in your face attacking you.  I think that would make the game a lot more exciting and fun to play because it adds this kind of panic mode in your heart that you want to get out and away from the zombies.  I don’t see why they wouldn’t implement this unless they didn’t want to produce any more content for the game.  This is because right now, the game is a little bit boring because you stand in one place and shoot at zombies.  When they come closer, yes it is more exciting but you really get that urge to just run away.

I think that the actual game is pretty poor for a non-spender on app games.  The game has a ton of different options to spend your money on so that you can get better guns to kill the zombies.  The guns that people who spend money get right now are overpowered and frankly make the game kind of pay to win.  I understand them making it like that because they want people to spend money on the game, but it really makes the game too hard to play.  For example, for one of the bosses in the game, you are faced with trying to kill him while he is blinking red, other than that, you can’t hit him and damage him while he is spitting out more zombies to go for your face.  So if you don’t spend money, you are kind of screwed because you will run out of bullets and then you will get destroyed by only having a pistol to face off against waves upon waves of zombies coming for you.  So ultimately, the game is too hard without spending any money on the game to get you better games that you can use in order to start destroying those zombies.

The game doesn’t have any social aspect to it so you can’t team up with your friends or compare scores or anything.  I think that if they had some kind of multiplayer online option for the game, it would be a lot more fun because you would be able to scream your head off with your friends while the zombies came closer.  I think that a game without a social aspect to it makes the game pretty poor and not as much fun while you could be playing with your friends on the computer.  A social aspect not only adds more fun to the game, it makes people want to become better at the game so that they can tell their friends about how they are so much better than them.

I would give Zombie Frontier a 7/10.   I think that the artwork in Zombie Frontier was very well made.  The guns are all pretty detailed and you can tell the difference between them.  Also the zombies are pretty distinct and you can see their ugly faces coming at you.  It’s a shame that there is only one background in each mission and you can’t rotate your screen and move to see new territory.

Music and SFX

I would give Zombie Frontier a 5/10.  The music of the game is kind of eerie which makes sense for the setting of the game where you are facing off against a ton of zombies in order to survive this apocalypse and kill all of the zombies possible.  I do think that the sound effects are pretty decent because they just mimic what you might expect an actual gun shot to sound like, or what a machine gun would sound like when you are rattling off 20 bullets a second.

Story and Originality

I would give Zombie Frontier a 2/10.  The storyline in Zombie Frontier is that you are facing an apocalypse where you are one of the people who hasn’t been infected by the T-virus.  I definitely do like the premise of the game, but I wish there was some better execution with the end of the game.  If you were like air lifted and you were trying to find your family throughout this whole mess because you were somehow trying to solve this whole mess with a cure, it would make the game more exciting because right now, you are basically just screwing around and killing zombies without much of a purpose because everybody knows that if you can’t find a cure, you are screwed because there won’t be enough people to kill all of the zombies.  No, Zombie Frontier is not original or anything like that.  It takes the concept from other games and is pretty similar to other games that you might find on the app store.  It does however, have this idea that you can only stand still as well as the fact that there are actually bosses among the zombies.  So while it isn’t very original or anything, it still has a bit of uniqueness of it so you can just say that it depends what players likes what type of game.

General Gameplay

I would give Zombie Frontier a 5/10.  The gameplay in Zombie Frontier, like I said before, is kind of poor with the lack of movement of the player as well as the fact that you are just doing missions throughout the game.  To go further into the gameplay, I do like the fact that you can headshot the zombie and kill them as well as the zombie boss concept because it does make the game have some layers in terms of fighting zombies but I do think that they need some kind of transition game where you aren’t just shooting zombies, but you are also doing something like sniping from a tower and killing a large boss zombie.  I also think that the gameplay of the grenades is also pretty decent because you are able to clear out a large wave of zombies from a grenade as almost like a life saver in case you accidentally run out of bullets or something like that.

Addictiveness

I would give Zombie Frontier a 4/10.  I could see Zombie Frontier being addicting for players who really enjoy these kinds of zombie games, but I think that they need to implement almost like a movie-style plot to the game where you are trying to actually solve the disease instead of trying to kill everybody who is infected in the world.  I like to feel like there is actually progress being done to cure everybody instead of trying to kill as many zombies as you can before going down to either the disease or zombies.  It would also be more addicting if you could play against friends, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen ever considering the last update happened two years ago.

Overall Rating

Overall, I would give Zombie Frontier a 6/10.
