Do you like cute aliens as well as the exhilaration of jumping to a high score? Doodle Jump is the game for you! The developer, Lima Sky, is the producer of the very popular game, Doodle Jump. Doodle Jump is available for iOS devices who have a compatibility of 4.3 later. Almost all devices are able to play this game regardless of which device that you may be using whether it is an Android or an Apple device. If English isn’t your native language, you won’t be able to play Doodle Jump because it is only available in English, so if you don’t know English, you won’t have as easy of a time playing the game. Doodle Jump is in its version 3.14, so it is a really new game that the producers will be looking to improve in the future so the game can only get better and more updated from here. If you are running out of space on your phone, you shouldn’t have a problem downloading Doodle Jump because, with a size of 35.6MB, it is relatively small compared to other games. Doodle Jump costs $0.99 for the initial download of the game as well as including a couple of in-app purchases that the players can purchase for more characters. With the $0.99 that you are paying, you will be purchasing multiple Doodle Jump worlds as well as unlocking yourself into the realm of funny shaped monsters.
Doodle Jump is a new game where you can play as a cute alien in 3D. Doodle Jump uses a cute alien in order to jump up on platforms and continue jumping up on platforms to make progress upwards. There are several different maps that you can play which have different evil aliens as well as different projectiles and power-ups. In addition to this jumping with a tiny cute alien, you be able to get past a couple of maps using some different modes of transportation, for instance, using coils or trampolines or even rockets. Doodle Jump offers a couple of challenges that will allow you to compete with other players through a couple of daily and weekly challenges that are given through the game. If you manage to get to the highest in these daily and weekly challenges, you will be put on a leaderboard. Along with this, you can play with friends! You have the ability to look at your scores after the runs to see who is the better alien racer.
In Doodle Jump, you will be able to do a couple of moves to get past each stage. You have the capability to fly or jump or even run through the world of Doodle Jump and be able to collect eggs as well as earn some coins in each map. Have you ever heard of Doodle Jump? It is extremely popular with almost 400,000 reviews that rate it about 4.5 out of 5. The missed half point on the rating is usually because it crashes for a couple people. Those crashes are usually fixed through the patches that the developers put out in order to improve the game for more players. It is a ton of fun using this tiny alien in order to go through maps through a couple of enemy aliens that you have to shoot as well as turns that you will have to tilt your device in order to get to the next platform. The all too common controls for each race in Doodle Jump are just touching and tilting your phone, similar to other similar games to Doodle Jump. Along with these comfortable controls, there are several power-ups that will grant you a couple of unique abilities to gain more coins or even get a nice speed boost to get you a higher score in order to mark it off on the charts when it comes to looking at who has the highest score amongst whoever has played on your device.

One important aspect of the game is making sure that you are safe to tilt your device about 30 degrees to both sides without dropping your device when you first start out the game. If you don’t manage to get the game working due to the crashes, you should restart the game by uninstalling and reinstalling the game. The way that you can do this on the Android, is by going to settings and then moving to apps so that you can clear the data without uninstalling the game. However, on the iOS, you will have to uninstall the game and reinstall the game. Yes, if you want to play Doodle Jump, you should be reinstalling the game if you don’t manage to get the game to work.
If you want to try and get some coins and gems for free without having to spend your hard earned money, you can go through the shop area and you will be given some optional tasks that could take some time in order to complete and you will be able to earn a couple of coins and gems per task. Some of the tasks will be doing a survey or having to download a game or watch a video. Each task has a different amount of coins and gems awarded to you, but I don’t recommend doing any tasks that give you coins because you can just earn those coins through the game. Additionally, you will be able to get a couple of rewards as long as you log in everyday without fault. If you do this, your rewards will stack up and you will gain more rewards for logging in the next day. If you have purchased some gems or you have enough gems to spare and you need more coins, you can use the coin doubler that will change your gems into coins so that you can use them to upgrade your power-ups.
In order to start the game, just go ahead and start your run through the main menu. The game will give you a couple of options to buy a booster for the beginning of the run, but it is really pointless to get this booster because the first stage of the game is pretty easy, but once you get farther into the game, it gets a bit harder, so all in all, getting a booster is more or less when you don’t want to have to waste your time in the beginning. If you are just starting out the game, look to get coins so that you can start purchasing upgrades on the power-ups and you will be able to get farther in the game after that.
After you do the tutorial, you will be given a couple of tips to follow. If you want it ahead of time, you can actually grab power-ups, but also have to dodge a couple of monsters. If you make sure that you are collecting the eggs that you find along the way, you will be able to purchase a couple of different characters than the alien that you can use in the maps. There are also coins that you can collect once you finish the run and get your score. The numerous power-ups include a little trampoline which makes you do a spin while going upwards, a coil that gives you the ability to go up pretty high, a rocket that allows you to shoot up sky high for a good amount of time, and a shield that you get temporarily if a monster hits you, you won’t die immediately if you have the shield. If you die in a run, there is no option to revive yourself like there is in most games, so you will usually have to restart over.
I would recommend all players to get a smaller device like a phone in order to play Doodle Jump instead of something big like an iPad. You will have to turn the device at angles that you are not used to which can make you drop the iPad because of the size of it and the fact that you will have to use both hands in order to hold the device. Combine this with the fact that you have to tap in order to shoot the monsters that you see in the game. To kill the monsters, you will usually have to hit one of your projectiles which you have an unlimited amount of. Some monsters require two or three hits in order to kill it, but that is usually towards the higher up portion of the game. So when you have to tap the device in order to shoot, you have to aim the projectile, so you have to pick up your hand and tap in the general vicinity of the monster and then tap, so most likely you will have to take one hand off of your device in order to shoot, making it so that you only have one hand to support the iPad or other device which can make it harder to hold as well as harder to stabilize it so that you are not angling it in any way so that you are moving your tiny alien character. So for these reasons, I highly recommend using a small device in order to play the game so that you can get a higher score, but a bigger device like an iPad will make it easier to play with your friends because one player can control tilting the device while another player can control the tap fire button so that you can play together while also being able to control the device well enough. Ultimately, if you want to get a higher score, you should be using a smaller device in order to play.
There is also a couple of different platforms. Most of them are solid that you can hang on to for however long that you want to, but ones that are cracked are lethal because they will break the first time after you jump on it the first time. This makes the game much more high paced than you will be used to, but it will make you continue to progress upwards not giving you a break.
The graphics and everything are really good and the game is really fun to play and I feel like it is an original that other games have copied off of. I don’t think that the game is particularly lacking compared to those similar games, but I rate it higher because it is original. The characters in Doodle Jump are pretty cute and unique so overall, it is a pretty good game along with a uniqueness aspect to it.
I think that if they added a better competition against friends aspect to the game, it would be a lot more interesting and a lot more fun if you could see both you and your friend’s character and see them side by side and racing live when you are playing it. It would add to the uniqueness of the game compared to the games that are really similar to this one. It would also add another feature that other games don’t have right now. There are a couple of complaints of the game being a little bit crashy at times. What I mean by that, is that there are a lot of crashes while people are playing the game.
In-app purchases grant you a couple of different characters and power-ups. For instance, you will have the ability to purchase a couple of flowers that you can use in order to purchase some new characters or accessories, but the other game currency, coins, are earned through going through the tracks. Coins can grant you a couple of benefits. First of all, when you get power-ups, you can upgrade them using coins so that they last longer or have a stronger impact in the game and will grant you a higher score. Think of this game as Temple Run except in a different format than Doodle Jump. Doodle Jump is like a cover over Temple Run that goes up rather than the some more cartoon like characters rather than an animated human, which will appeal more to the masses than a guy who is getting chased down by monsters and can get eaten up by the monsters.
Ratings:
Artwork:
I would rate Doodle Jump a 7/10. The alien is pretty cute and the actual artwork of the whole thing is pretty nice and adds a nice, different concept than a game similar like Temple Run or Train Runner. The artwork seems pretty original and kind of simple, but it is simple and cute, so overall it is pretty good.
Music and SFX
I would rate Doodle Jump a 5/10. The music is okay, but it doesn’t really give the feeling of running and trying to get a high score, or anything that I’d appreciate and the sound effects are also pretty cheesy considering the other games that I have played which were similar. The sound of the projectiles that your alien shoots are pretty cute, so I can’t give that low of a rating.
Story and Originality
I would rate Doodle Jump a 2/10. There is no real story here. All you are doing is trying to get a high score using a alien or some other character. So you are not really following any kind of storyline that you need to complete. It seems pretty original, but all in all, games like Temple Run and Train Runner are all the same game as this except a bit different in terms of gameplay. Temple run is running while Doodle Jump is jumping, but in both games you are just trying to get a high score.
General Gameplay
I would rate Doodle Jump a 6/10. Disregarding the fact that it is a bit of a cover up of another game, it is pretty good in terms of gameplay because the controls are simple, but they really give you a hard time and make you think about which direction you go and force you to try and improve your reaction times in order to get better at the game. The power-ups are also very fun and interesting to play with that make you want to play more.
Addictiveness
I would rate Doodle Jump a 8/10. It is a pretty addicting game that makes you feel like you can do better every time because every time you lose, you feel like, “if only I could’ve dodged that” where you think that you can keep improving until you ultimately get bored of the game and it doesn’t become entertaining anymore.
Overall Rating
Overall, I would rate Doodle Jump a 6/10 because it is addicting due to the nature of the game, but it doesn’t have any kind of story to follow while playing.
