Let me start off by saying that nobody can dispute the fact that The Toughest Game Ever 2 lives up to its name. I really haven’t encountered any app that is as difficult is this, and neither have I found an app that manages to add such a wide variety of well-crafted minigames to form such a grand, rage-gaming masterpiece like The Toughest Game Ever 2. On top of this, The Toughest Game Ever 2 boasts polished animations and very vivid, cartoon-like artwork. Mixed with the whimsical and almost goofy feeling soundtrack that accompanies you throughout most of the app, the visual and auditory style creates an overall feeling of lighthearted fun. I really enjoy the vibe The Toughest Game Ever 2 gives off, and it helps to sooth the game-rage that quite often arises while playing (and failing) the minigames.

Now, The Toughest Game Ever 2 is a great game, but it’s not perfect by any means. While challenge is welcomed in games, and even necessary to keep my attention, there is a limit to how much hardship I can take without becoming frustrated. Artwork– The cartoon-like vibe and smooth animations are so polished and well-engineered that I have no reason to complain. I really enjoy this aspect of The Toughest Game Ever 2, and I think it deserves a perfect rating.

Music/SFX– Like the artwork, the music creates a pleasant atmosphere, and I find it strangely fitting for The Toughest Game Ever 2. The only issue I have with the music is the tendency for it to get a bit obnoxious if you end up spending lots of  time looking around on the menu for a minigame to play.

While The Toughest Game Ever 2 deserves a great rating for the fun it can provide, the frustration takes the rating down a couple notches.

Addictiveness– I can’t believe how impulsive the desire to tap a screen because of the pretty lights happens to be. Seriously, The Toughest Game Ever 2 packs an addictive punch that will leave you in want of more levels to play (if you can manage to beat the entire game, that is). The addictiveness category would receive a perfect score if it wasn’t for the fact that I have to put The Toughest Game Ever 2 down occasionally to calm down from failing levels, but on the other hand, I always come back to playing it after I’m done cooling off.
