Battle Run Hack & Tips for Diamonds & Coins – New Cheats Available

If you’re feeling the need for speed and Sonic the Hedgehog just isn’t cutting it anymore, then say hello to your next favourite 2D racer, Battle Run! Developed by the illustrious Game Hive Corporation, known in the mobile world for their Beat the Boss series, Battle Run pits you against players worldwide in a footrace to the end goal, with the added twist of some weapons and power-ups that you can pick up along the way. Grab the best items to knock your enemies down a peg, whilst keeping on the lookout for any traps you might suddenly need to double jump over. Dodge your enemies and avoid pitfalls, but make sure you still come first, in Battle Run. Download Battle Run from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store now.

The crisp, friendly 2D graphics of Battle Run sure are inviting, but the focus on them is quickly brushed aside for cutthroat multiplayer action when you enter a run (or a battle run if you will). You and three other players enter a map from the game’s rotating pool, and once the countdown hits zero all bets are off. Your player character will automatically run towards the goal and it is your job to make sure they can get to their target unscathed. Well, I say unscathed. Getting injured in Battle Run means your cute player character dies and trips over, leaving a corpse that stays there for the rest of the run, but don’t fear. Your character will pick right back up from where they left, albeit a few seconds behind. Sure it doesn’t sound like a big penalty, but when the stakes are this high, even one second can make all the difference in Battle Run.

Scattered across the map are stars and weapon boxes. Collecting stars during a run won’t affect that run specifically, but you get to keep them out of battles and spend them on customizing your character. Buying things like sunglasses or new hats requires stars, so make sure to keep collecting them. Picking up a weapon box will earn you a random weapon from the pool, which could be anything from homing rockets to landmines, throwing axes and chainsaws. Each weapon has unique features and learning them all is a feat in its own right, but you’ll have to master them all to stand at the top of the Battle Run online leader boards.

Cheats & Tips for Battle Run

Each character that you can play as in Battle Run has a weapon available to use that is unique to them only. For example, the dog Spoon has the Bone which slows other characters down, and the ninja Shinobi has the Ninja Star, which can travel really fast but has a small range. Read up on each character’s weapons and find out which would be best suited to your playstyle before deciding to unlock them.

Stars aren’t just used for cosmetic items and unlocking new characters. Collect enough stars in one level and you can unlock your pet to ride on for a limited amount of time. Pets travel a lot faster than characters, so make sure you collect those Stars while avoiding damage, which will make you lose your Pet.

Pay attention to your Daily Objectives, which can be accessed from the target button on the top of the main menu screen. Your Daily Objectives are refreshed every 24 hours, and will give you a small task to complete like “Come first in a race” or “Collect 5 Weapons”. Completing these Objectives earns you Diamonds which are very rare in the game, so make sure you clear your Dailies every 24 hours.

Battle Run Review

Coming into Battle Run, I was completely unfamiliar with the genre, but excited to give it a go from the gameplay that I had seen. I’m glad to say that yes, Battle Run has lived up to my expectations.

First of all, the graphics in Battle Run are really, really tight. This should be obvious for anyone familiar with Game Hive’s previous series, Beat the Boss, which shares the same aesthetic and comes off looking very crisp and clear. Needless to say, Battle Run excels in the graphics department, which is a surprising thing to say in 2015 for a game that lacks true 3D models.

I could go on for days about the graphics, but in the end this is a game and above all else has to be fun to play. Battle Run takes the tight, precise timing required gameplay of the early Super Mario games and throws it into an online multiplayer experience that’s fun and challenging to play. Honestly this is what kids of the 90’s would just die to play, a 2D tough as nails platformer that you can play with your friends. And although I’m normally not a fan of customizing characters just for the sake of look, the sunglasses just tempted me too much.

Battle Run is a great game and time sink, but that doesn’t mean it is without flaws. I found that sometimes when playing online it would immediately throw me into a game, but other times it seemed to take a good ten minutes to connect to the other players. For a mobile game, waiting ten minutes to play a game is extremely off-putting, and especially so when you are playing it on a multi-functional device. Fix up the matchmaking code Game Hive and it’ll be right.

If you’re a fan of the classic Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog games and looking for a new time sink on your mobile, you can’t go wrong with Battle Run. Join the online multiplayer sensation today.

Battle Run Ratings

Artwork: I give Battle Run an 8 out of 10 for Artwork. Battle Run has some very charming graphics, with the child-like character designs and well thought out menus. Sometimes it comes off as amateurish Flash animations, but the game keeps its cool for the most part.

Music and SFX: I give Battle Run a 7 out of 10 for Music and SFX. The Music and SFX are for the most part fine in Battle Run, but I wish that excessive countdown beep just wasn’t there. The weapon sound effects sound make up for that however, and add some fun realism to the game.

Story and Originality: I give Battle Run a 5 out of 10 for Story and Originality. Sorry Battle Run, I like you and all, but you have absolutely no story. None. Diddly squat. Not to mention that this genre has been done on mobile devices time and time again.

General Gameplay: I give Battle Run a 9 out of 10 for General Gameplay. The gameplay in Battle Run has enough content to stay fresh for hours, and the high skill cap and online multiplayer options are just the icing on the cake.

Addictiveness: I give Battle Run an 8 out of 10 for Addictiveness. Battle Run would be very addictive just as a single player experience, but with the addition of online multiplayer, it will have you hooked for hours and hours on end.

Overall, I give Battle Run an 8 out of 10.
