Rummy is a card game where the objective of the game is essentially to make sets of three or four of the same rank or three in a sequence in the same suit. You may not have heard of this game before, but it is very popular in other countries and not as much in the United States, so you may not recognize the game. To get more into the game, in one game, there can be a large number of decks used in the game where each player receives a decent number of cards that they have to match together. The deck isn’t entirely used up in the player’s hands, so the rest of the deck goes in a face down position in a different pile while the other pile consists of cards that players decide to discard.

To start out the game, the player on the left of the dealer gets to del out the first play. The initial card that is in play is drawn by the dealer, after that, the first person, the person left of the dealer, gets to grab a card from the deck or use the card that the dealer grabbed so that they can use three cards to make a straight or put down three cards that match the number on the card. Regardless of whether they are able to make a meld, they will be forced to discard a card into the discard pile. If a different player put down a card, other players can use that card in order to make melds off of it when it is their turn. As a special rule, if you manage to put down all of your cards that are in the same suit, you will be given the whole win.
For the scoring of Rummy, the game ends as soon as one player manages to get rid of all of their cards through melding as well as discarding after their turn is over. The turn after the player who gets rid of all of their cards is over and every single player goes to calculate their score. You get more points for getting melds and then fewer points if you have cards in your hand which are not melded. Usually, because of how this scoring system works, you will win if you manage to meld almost all of your cards first. Remember, a meld is either a set of three cards which are of the exact same rank. You can also have three consecutive cards in the same suit. So for example, if you have 3 spades that go 2,3,4, then you can play that down and that will be a set that you will be scored positive points for.
In Rummy plus, players will be able to bet a certain amount of money for every single round that they play and gain money if they win the round or lose money if they don’t win the round. Players can sit at a table for a given number of chips or participate in a tournament to try and get some big winnings for a relatively small entry fee. As soon as players run out of chips, they cannot participate in any activity except some practice until the next day where they will receive their daily bonus or players, if desperate enough, can purchase, for a price, a good number of chips per dollar that they spend on the game.
The first thing that you should try doing if you are new at Rummy is that you should try and think about how you can make a meld in the game. After this, you should think a bit in the future about how to make future melds and how the cards in the game will work out so that you can make a pure run, which basically means that you are getting rid of all of your cards. By doing this, you will be able to score a ton of points while also not losing a lot of points for remaining cards in your hand that have not been melded. This is pretty much the number one tip that I can give you because if you are able to do this, you pretty much have beaten half of the players in the game because you can meld a pure run and you aren’t doing it blindly without thinking like most players do.
Once you get more into the game, think more about what other players are playing as well as what other players are discarding. That way you can think about what they are trying to do and then meld your cards in a way that stops them from melding or discard so that you know that you won’t be able to meld that card based on what has already been played. This game is pretty complex and you need to think about what has been played and what has been discarded into the discard pile.
In order to continuously increase your score, you should try to get rid of your higher cards like Kings, Queens, and Jacks so that you are not losing more points if you aren’t the first one to have run out of all of your cards. The lower value that your cards are, the fewer points that you will lose when all the points are calculated out in the end of the game. If you have an awkward number of cards like 9 or so, where you have to get rid of one of your cards after the round is over, you can make a meld of more than three cards like meld four cards one turn so that you have 4 cards on the next turn and then only have to meld three cards the next time your turn comes around so that you discard your last card and are the first one to lose all of your cards.
Just remember that it is better to lose all of your cards the quickest rather than try and get the most sets. So it is also important to remember that you can meld more than three cards in a set. Always look to keep the better cards in the game. These cards include ones that are in the middle value like 7 where you can meld together a 8 or 9 as well as a 5 and 6. These cards should be the last one that you meld so that you have more options toward the end to meld your last cards together instead of keeping something on one end like a 2 that will be harder to meld without some degree of luck. Remember how I told you that getting rid of your higher point cards is very important?
If you aren’t able to meld them for some reason, you can use a joker in order to complete the meld so that you can run a higher straight or be able to get rid of those higher cards in one way or another. Lastly, do not hold your cards for a long time waiting for the perfect meld because you will lose more often than you will win because someone will mess up the meld for you and you will be screwed with a ton of cards in your hand with almost zero chance of coming back in the game because you will have a majority of cards in your hand while other players will not have as many.
I think that the gambling part of Rummy Plus does make the game a lot more interesting and with the addition of the tournaments it can be pretty fun to play. It’s important to note that Rummy Plus is pretty much a free game that is not pay to win because it is all based off of skill instead of having some paid for gadgets that will grant you an advantage in the game. So you won’t have to worry about someone spending more money on the game and being better than you because of it. I think that this friends and connecting online aspect to Rummy Plus also make for a good game because it is more fun to play with friends for anything, so it will be more fun to play Rummy Plus with your friends and you will also be able to see them online if they are playing as well.
The graphics are pretty average for Rummy Plus, so it is pretty much the gameplay that makes up for what is lacking in Rummy Plus in terms of the graphics. The music options are also really nice because you are essentially given the option of what music you want to play instead of it being chosen for you.

Artwork:
I would give Rummy Plus a 3/10. There is nothing spectacular about the artwork in Rummy Plus simply because it is a card game. The only way that I would give them a higher score is if they added some splashy animation with the game or added these animated characters to the game to represent the players. They could also have some end game artwork at the end of each game so that players can enjoy that, but since the only artwork in the game is basically the cards in the game, nothing is really special about that and I’m sure that the producers did not have the artwork of this game to be the highlight of the game but rather they wanted the gameplay to be the star of the game with all of the gambling in the game.
Music and SFX
I would give Rummy Plus a 3/10. I give them a decent amount of good praise for them letting you choose which music that you want to play. You can choose the music that the game gives you or you can even choose the music that you have yourself. This gives you a good variety of music that either the game has or that you have. Considering this is a pretty casual game where you can play with your headphones on and listening to your own music is really nice and really gets you relaxed when you can play the music that you enjoy rather than the game forcing you into the music that they are playing or having to listen to your own music from a separate device.
The sound effects in Rummy Plus are lacking a bit because there are very few sound effects that the game has that are even half decent or even make the game decently exciting, but they also shouldn’t have too many sound effects to the game or else it would seem pretty childish to have a game that had so many cheesy and cutesy sound effects added to it.
Story and Originality
I would give Rummy Plus a 4/10. I can’t even imagine a half decent storyline for this game, so I won’t even try. But all in all, Rummy Plus does not have a storyline. This is for good reason because what kind of storyline could there be where you are playing Rummy and betting a couple of chips as well as participating in tournaments. Any kind of storyline added to the game would just make the game more childish which its intentions are not to encourage children to play this game. The originality in Rummy Plus is pretty decent considering I have never even heard this game before, but it is using an already established game for its basis which is just putting the game on a different platform. So while it is using an established game, it is original in that they aren’t copying any other app or anything like that, but I would have appreciated some additional features to make the game so that it wasn’t solely the game with a couple of chips to bet.
General Gameplay
I would give Rummy Plus a 7/10. The gameplay in Rummy Plus is pretty decent considering that it is already based off of an established popular game, but if you ignore that, the game is pretty good and the addition of this friends aspect and the bidding aspect of the game, it is pretty fun to play because of the tournaments that you can play in to try and be the best at the game. Rummy is also mostly based off of skill so it isn’t as luck based as you may think which make a tournament format especially good. It’s like Poker where it is more based off of skill to become good at the game and not just luck in the cards. The friend play is also pretty nice because it allows people who know each other or like playing with one another to play with each other which is always a nice addition to the gameplay which can otherwise get boring or repetitive.
Addictiveness
I would give Rummy Plus a 6/10. Rummy Plus is a pretty addicting game because you want to continuously bet money in an effort to try and win and make your chips back. I can see plenty of players get soaked into the game to a point where they are spending money on the game because they want to continuously play the game to where they are finally on the positive side of winnings. I also can see how it would be addictive from the tournament format where players will just want to show that they are the best through winning a tournament and continuously enter into tournaments the whole day in an effort to win a tournament in Rummy Plus.
Overall Rating
Overall, I would give Rummy Plus a 5/10.
