While there are millions of people on earth who likes Endless Runners, Match-Three Puzzlers, Racing, or First Person Shooter games as a method to kill their lonely time, there are also a bunch of those people who tends to do the same but with a different genre; that requires a bit intellectuality to play, and the game that we have brought today perfectly suits the latter category.
Name of the game is Adventure Escape: Murder Manor, and it has a rating of 4.5/5 stars with approximately five million downloads in Google Play Store alone. I found this game quite interesting with a good Gameplay, easy to use UI, and decent Artwork. Get it on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store now.

Adventure Escape: Murder Manor is more like a collection of short puzzle games and riddles, where you have to solve them to find clues. As previously mentioned this game is short and contains a total of just nine levels, which can be finished within an hour if you’ve a thing for puzzles/riddles. Straight after login, level one, invitation to Dine, begins and if you’ll quit the first level, a decently designed map comes up showing all the levels and locations related to them.
Gameplay is simple all you’ll have to do is to find missing parts of puzzles and complete riddles to proceed next. There is inventory on the right side of the screen, where you will be able to see your collected items. Whenever you’ll touch a collectable item it will be added in your inventory. During gameplay, you’ll come across shiny white stars, which are more like currency of this game. If a puzzle/riddle proves to be too much difficult for you then you can use these stars to skip them or get close to solving it using hints. Stars required to get hint or skip any puzzle/riddle depends upon the difficulty. Initial puzzles can be skipped for let’s say five or ten stars while latter can require even more than thirty-five stars.
Although this game is tricky but certainly isn’t impossible to finish and the stars that you’ll collect during gameplay should be enough to skip any puzzle if required and if you run out of stars then you can always go for the in-app purchases. You can buy ten stars for $1.99. Thirty stars costs $4.99. A pack of fifty stars will set you back by $8.99. One hundred stars are for just $13.99. Last packages costs $34.99 and gives three hundred stars.
Adventure Escape: Murder Manor is available for both Android and iOS devices. This game isn’t heavy by any means and should work without any issue on all those devices that supports either iOS 4.3 or Android 2.3 (gingerbread).
This game doesn’t require any kind of modified or cracked version nor there is because of its generosity towards free stars which can be collected during gameplay. If anyhow you aren’t able to solve any puzzle, and you run out of stars and you don’t want to spend money on them, then you can simply follow the walk through given below to help you pass all nine stages.
Chapter 1: Invitation to Dine

This game is totally reliant upon point and clicks; hence User Interface is an important aspect and there aren’t any loopholes in this area. The User Interface is clean, adaptive, and smooth in every sense. The artwork might seem a bit dull but it perfectly matches the scenario. The game is completely set up in 2D environment and duration of gameplay is extremely small, both of these accounts for the small size of this game.
I believe the length of the gameplay, if not ideal, is almost close to being perfect. This game can give you few hours full of thrill and excitement. The gameplay isn’t ruined by ads, stamina, or any driving force towards in-app purchases. Gameplay is good, enjoyable but I believe they could have added a bit more logicality, for example, why anyone would expect a bucket hidden under the quilt. Sound department of this game is nicely detailed especially for a small sized game. SFX, at time, can be scary and give you chills, and it never feels boring.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and I’ll recommend to anyone who is looking for games that can be ended in short bursts.
Ratings:
Artwork: I’ll give this game an 8/10 here. Artwork is filled, scary and helps to tell the story. It could have been even better if developer had used short video clips rather than just pictures.
Music & SFX: Adventure Escape: Murder Manor gets an 8.5/10 here. Almost everything is there which is required to keep the game alive. If the developer is looking for improvement then they can add voices for characters and different background soundtracks.
Story & Originality: I’ll give this game a 9/10 for its story and originality. Literally, I’m in love with the deep story and the way it is told. The storyline kept my head inside the game all the time, and that’s something which is rare for me.
Gameplay: I’ll give this game a 9/10 here. Except for the few illogical riddles and puzzles this game is perfect free of all kind of bugs.
Addictiveness: I’ll give this game a 9/10 for its addictiveness. This is a game that has ideal length, contains a proper plotline, brilliantly defined characters; hence I cannot see any reason why anyone wouldn’t get addicted to it.
Overall I’ll give this game a 9/10.
