The animations and special effects in DrakenSang are clever and of high quality, making the gameplay feel more alive and entertaining. The developers did a good job at combining the artwork with the animations of the game, making the gameplay very balanced and fun.
Music & SFX: I give DrakenSang an 8/10 for its music and SFX. There are a lot of different soundtracks and sound effects in DrakenSang, which are of equal quality as the artwork of the game. Whenever you reach different areas in DrakenSang, the soundtrack will change, which is very nice in my opinion. The sound effects range from regular attack SFX to leveling up SFX, and are combined very nicely with the soundtracks of the game. Both the soundtracks and sound effects of DrakenSang are easy on the ears, which means that they will not bother or bore anyone while they are playing the game. Even if they are bothering you, you can go to the settings menu within the game and lower the volume / mute them.
Story & Originality: I give DrakenSang an 8/10 for its story and originality. The developers of DrakenSang have definitely inspired their game after Diablo. The gameplay, controls and even the camera angle is very similar to Diablo. Even though there are a lot of copied ideas and features in DrakenSang, I still believe that it is pretty original, especially because of the fact that there are different quests, items and characters in the game. There is also a nice story behind each character class and during the gameplay itself, which simply enhances the gameplay.
General Gameplay: I give DrakenSang an 8/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in DrakenSang begins with a small tutorial, in which you learn how to accept quests, attack enemy units, use special powers, level your character up and successfully complete quests. Once you have played DrakenSang for a while, the gameplay becomes pretty straightforward and linear, especially because the quests are very similar to each other. Luckily, there are a lot of other features in DrakenSang to keep yourself busy with. The camera angle is very comfortable, the controls are responsive and smooth and the user interface is crisp and clear.
Addictiveness: I give DrakenSang a 7/10 for addictiveness. Even though I have played Runescape in the past, I am not a big fan of MMORPGs. In order to look at DrakenSang in an unbiased manner, I have spent several hours playing the game. I must admit that the gameplay is pretty addictive, especially if you enjoy playing games such as Diablo. Unfortunately, I have also noticed that the game is pretty much pay-to-win. The developers of DrakenSang should know that not everyone is able to afford to spend money on a game, especially if the game is free-to-play. Next to adding ten advertisement videos a day, perhaps the developers could also add a reward system, which rewards players that spend a lot of time playing DrakenSang.
