Word Academy Cheats & Hack for Hints & All Solutions 2016

Word Academy Tips, Cheats, & Hack for Hints & All Solutions Unlock

Word Academy, by developer SCIMOB, is a word based puzzle game that has you create specific words from a selective tile in order to continue further into the game. The game is not only very similar to Wordbrain; it is practically the same thing. There are really not any differences in gameplay, just appearance. So if you have played Wordbrain, you might enjoy this, perhaps view it as a free DLC or add on. If you played Wordbrain, and looking for a newer 2016 word game with a larger variant in style, then Word Academy is not for you. Word Academy is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

Again, when I say that this game is the exact same as Wordbrain, that is no lie. The gameplay is the same, the level design is the same, and even the stages are the same. The only difference is the color scheme and the music. So if you have not played either, then here is the rundown. The first levels presents you a 2 x 2 four tile grid. Each tile has a letter on it. Your objective is to create a four letter word with the tiles provided.

Now the challenge is that all the letters can create a variety of words. When you choose the right order and create the right word, you advance to the next level. The other challenge that comes in the later levels, is creating two words instead of one. This creates a difficulty when even more words can be created, especially when it is 3 x 3 grid with 9 letters. Then even longer words need to be created when they present you 4 x 4 grid with 16 letters, and three words need to be created.  There are also different types of stages, similar to Wordbrain. Except, instead of animals as stages in Wordbrain, Word Academy has different people.

Word Academy Background

You start off with Teddy Bear, and can upgrade all the way to Chuck Norris. This is the biggest difference between both games: the color and style. Wordbrain had just animals and a Brain score, but Word Academy has humorous characters. This slightly alters the gameplay believe it or not. In Wordbrain, you have a very challenging and intellectual game, and Word Academy is a very fun and bright puzzle game. Both are very challenging, but both are varied in style and feel.

Word Academy also has a score system similar to Wordbrain. Instead of a Brain Size (or a score defining how far you are in the game), there is an academy grade or score that you can use to determine how far you made it into the game. Players can also brag about these triumphs with social media connects, which cause friends to play the game even more. Along with the exact copy of scores, there is also the hint system which is the exact same thing.

You can use hints, which reveal a letter from a word every time you use it. Both games give you ten hints and grant you more hints as you advance to the next stage. The main difference between the two games are the price of the in-app purchases of hints. In Wordbrain, hints are pretty pricey. You can get 10 hints for $0.99. In Word Academy you can get 12 hints for $0.99, which is not that much more, but as you get to the bigger number of hints for purchase, it can make or break the game. You get more hints per dollar you spend in Word Academy, but it is still pricey for a game of that caliber.

You can also use social media to promote the game for a free ten hints, so there is that option If you don’t like to spend money on mobile gaming, or specifically in-app purchases, which are pretty much pay to win in both of these word puzzle games.

Cheats & Tips for Word Academy

The biggest tip I can suggest for completing this game is to instead of trying every word you can, look back and see what two words can be made, rather than just one word you are rushing to get out the way. If you see two word possibilities, try one, and if that one does not work, then by a matter of process of elimination, you can decide that the other word would not work. This can become difficult when you mix three words into the challenge, but overcome that challenge and it will pay off in the long run.

Save you hints, because before you know it, you are in a seriously difficult level, with nowhere to turn. Try not to use more than one hint per level, since it gives you the first letter of a work, that should be enough to get you started. Once you have that first letter revealed, the possibilities diminish greatly, and you can focus on a smaller group of choices.

Word Academy Review

So, now the question comes: is Word Academy the copy of Wordbrain, or the other way around? At the end of my research, it was hard to find the answer. The games’ release dates are pretty unknown, and the Google Play Store and App Store do not have the version history anymore.

Whether Word Academy is a copycat, or the source of the copycats, it is a great game nonetheless. The word puzzle design is brilliant, challenging you as you go, daring you to stop and think about what you are doing, and whether this is the right strategy.

This is a great puzzle game for Scrabble or Words With Friends that you can play by yourself. The only opponent is your own mind, which is the fundamental of the puzzle game genre.  A successful game provides you the pieces, and the only thing stopping you from putting them together is yourself, which is why Word Academy is great, whether it is a copy cat or not.

Ratings

Artwork:

I would give the artwork in Word Academy a 10/10.

The artwork in Word Academy is superb. It flows very nicely and generally sort of oozes the user into the nice relaxing game. The hat in this one to keep a running tally on points from completing the required number of puzzles is a nice feature because it gives users a basis of measurement and something to possibly compare to their friends. Another thing that looks great about the artwork is the fact that not only does the game fill the entire screen but the general user interface looks superb!

Having the words that you make start stacking at the bottom is an excellent idea and now instead of them being the main focus of the game, they become more of just the basis on what you need to do which is what their purpose is in the first place. Other games like this one seem to enjoy making the words and letters at the bottom a bit larger I guess because it shows your achievement goals in the level that you are currently on. Just the user interfaces on the levels are enough to have this earning top marks for artwork but having what was mentioned before really sets this game apart from the others in my eyes.

Music and sound effects:

There was no music in this game so I cannot put a review for that, but I would give the sound effects a 10/10.

The sound effects that were in this game were exceptionally placed and really gave the player a rewarding feeling for playing the game with the sound on. There were just enough sound effects as well that for the user to achieve such a good feeling for listening in. I think that if a company wanted to spend so much time or money putting in all of the different sound effects in for the users to listen to, then they should make the sounds not only high quality but also have a lot of them.

This game easily had both of these features which made it so great. Something else that is nice about the sound effects is that when you play the game without them on you notice a substantial difference between having the sound on and sound off. When you go to play it with the sound off it sort of makes you go “Hey, where’s this noise when I do this action in the game?” Oh, right I have the sound off. You know that when a game makes you feel this way that they have done a superb job putting together the sound effects for the game.

Storyline and originality:

There was no storyline to this game so I cannot put a review for that, but I would give the originality a 9/10.

While there are many match the words up games available out there on the app store, this game did a superb job on their take of what needed to be done to make this game a best seller. They chose a theme and kept with it constantly throughout the game. Having the level of consistency really helps the user understand what is going on within the game and what needs to be done to progress even further in the game because the theme stays the same throughout. The academy hat and calling it brain academy was the perfect example of how the company that made this game stayed true to the consistency factor of the game.

The only reason that this glowing report on the originality doesn’t give a 10/10 for the originality is because of the fact that yes indeed there are many games like this one out on the app store, but this one if you see it close to the front does one of the best jobs portraying this type of game.

Gameplay:

The gameplay for Word Academy was also a solid 10/10.

As someone who enjoys games that make you think and figure out all of the different words that are presented on the tiles, this game has done a stupendous job of it. The constant academy feel to it (with the graduation cap counter to go along with it) makes this game really stand out in my eyes. It is nice to think that companies are actively trying to get teenagers to use their brains even in the most subtle ways like with games like this on a gaming platform that most would have any hope that the teens would download a game like this and play it getting smarter and maybe even learning some new words.

Something else that I really enjoyed about this game was the fact that the words in all of the different levels (the answered words) most of the time (if not all of it) are related to one another. For example, one of the levels that I remember was Seat and Chair being the answer to that particular level. Now while this does add a certain level of simplicity to the game, it’s nice that it gives the game a constant to work off of. Something else that this almost guarantees the game to have is non-repeating words. That’s something that can become quickly annoying within some of the other word games, you have such simple words as the answer but because they are sort of random you could have multiples of the same answer in only one single question pack which can be a deterrent to the game that the player is using.

Something that I didn’t get to witness first hand but I assumed, was the ability to spend some real money to acquire a few more hints when you ran out. A transaction system like that is perfect for a game with this kind of hard work put behind it. Now as I said I only assumed because within the first level packs that I played I didn’t need to use any of the hints as sort of a challenge to me which is always fun to do. A strategy that I used often was that if I was having troubles with one of the puzzles that were there I would just set it down for a few moments and then come back to it. A large portion of the time, I was able to find the answer almost right away which was pretty weird because I didn’t think that I would be able to with such a short time but was cool to figure out anyways.

The last thing that I noticed for the gameplay section was the lack of ads that I noticed while playing the game. I think that ads are fine for a mobile game to a certain extent (that extent being non-intrusive) for good mobile games like this one.  If the company has made a high quality game I believe that they should be able to get the maximum amount of money possible so that they might be able to make more high quality games in the future.

Addictiveness:

I would give the addictiveness factor for Word Academy a 10/10.

Games that have this certain nature to them will always have an addictive vibe towards them as they are so much fun to play, but also they don’t require waiting to play them. Even if a user is stuck on a level they can just use one of their hints and keep on playing the game as if nothing had happened unlike some games where if you’re stuck then you are pretty much done for as there is no “easy way out” like the one implemented in this game with the hints that are provided to you. The (assumed) real currency to hints also keeps the game fun as you know that you may be able to use as many hints as you may need throughout the game. If you have enough money in your wallet to buy more hints or if you’re stuck on a level and want to spend a bit of money to get past it you can, which makes the game that much more addictive to the general audience.

Overall Rating:

Overall, Word Academy receives a 10/10 vote from me.

This game is the definition of a making words game gone right. Everything from the artwork to the sound effects to the gameplay was just absolutely spot on. The only suggestion that I would have for this game is that fact that maybe they could add in some sort of elevator music just to add that little bit more relaxing nature to the great relaxing game of Word Academy. If the music change was implemented into the game I think that this game would emerge as the clear cut front runner for any word making touch the letters together game on the app store. Overall though, great fun game to play that I will definitely keep playing in the future because it is so much fun to play!
