Word Brain Cheats & Hack for Hints 2016 - Android & iOS

Word Brain Hack & Cheats for Hints – New Tips Updated

Wordbrain, word puzzle game by developer MAG Interactive, has you create specific words from a tile of letters to advance to the next level. They start off simple, but progress to near impossible as you go along. MAG Interactive also gave us Ruzzle, which is pretty much the same aspect. The difference here is that Wordbrain has you stop and think, where Ruzzle is based on speed and reflexes. If you have played Ruzzle, then Wordbrain should come like second nature to you. Even if you have not played either, you can easily pick it up and learn right away. Wordbrain is available in 2016 on the App Store and the Google Play Store.

The game has a very minimalist and simple feel to it. You get some settings, about page, and then play. There are a couple of slides on how to play the game, and that is it; you are then thrown into the game. You start off with 4 letter tiles and a 4 space blank under it.  It is up to you to create a specific word that fills in those spaces. There are plenty of words you can create with the letters provided, but if it is not the one the game wants, then it will not work. Your ability to find every word possible will come in handy, but will make you feel hopeless when you are stuck.

You start off in the Ant section. These are very simple four letter words with really no other possibilities for spellings. As you go to the Spider section, you get four letters with a variety of words to be made from them. This forces you to try every possibility you can till you get it. The real curveball comes in the Snail section. There are 9 tile letters now, and two words to be made. It’s usually a four letter word and then a five letter word.

About Word Brain

This makes you stop and think, analyze the situation, and try to find each word. The other tricky thing is that sometimes you may have got one word, but the other letters fall into a position that makes the next word impossible to connect. This is where the restart button becomes an essential tool. Clicking restart gets the original position of the letters, and lets you find a way to get both words without getting into another dead end. Not much of the gameplay changes, only advances in difficulty.

There is not a real XP meter like there is in Ruzzle, but there is a brain size meter. Each level gets you a certain amount of brain points that adds to this meter. I am assuming that these values are fixed, since I find that there is only one solution to each level. The bigger the brain size, the bigger the brag you can make on social media. Completing each stage will get you hints you can use in game. Hints are used in levels when you do become stuck.

They reveal the first letter of a word, and uncovers other letters as you keep using them. You are given 10 hints at the beginning of the game, and they tend to go by quickly, and you can only get them by completing stages. The other way of getting them is through the games in-app purchases. Since there are no pop up ads, this does seem to be the way that this game makes profit. The prices are also pretty ridiculous if you ask me. You can only get 10 hints for $0.99. I can understand the need to make the game not a pay to win game, but the price of these purchases makes me wonder if there are people that do purchase them. You can also use social media to promote the game in exchange for 10 hints, so there’s that avenue.

Cheats & Tips for Word Brain

The biggest tip I can suggest for completing this game is to instead of trying every word you can, look back and see what two words can be made, rather than just one word you are rushing to get out the way. If you see two word possibilities, try one, and if that one does not work, then by a matter of process of elimination, you can decide that the other word would not work. This can become difficult when you mix three words into the challenge, but overcome that challenge and it will pay off in the long run.

Save you hints, because before you know it, you are in a seriously difficult level, with nowhere to turn. Try not to use more than one hint per level, since it gives you the first letter of a work, that should be enough to get you started. Once you have that first letter revealed, the possibilities diminish greatly, and you can focus on a smaller group of choices. Also, check out Ruzzle to help your word making skills.

Word Brain Review

Overall, Wordbrain has a very simple and minimalistic design and gameplay to it, but like most mobile games, becomes hard to master. You will breeze through the first levels as if they were child’s play, but stare at the screen in confusion as you progress. It challenges you just enough to have you hooked, but not to the point of frustration that leads you to either delete the app in rage or scour YouTube for solutions.

It gives you a challenge, but it also gives you the sense that it is not impossible, and even gives you some hope for each level and even each section. This is similar to Ruzzle on the surface level, but is a different game entirely.

Instead of a fast paced competition, it is a game that is paced by how fast you can think of a solution, and it’s against your worst enemy: you. In essence, Wordbrain is a simply addictive game that has you coming back for a brain twister that will have you stop and think of a solution.

Ratings

Artwork:

I would give WordBrain a 10/10 for the artwork of the game.

The artwork in this game was excellent. The colour contrast of the tiles compared to the background was great. Having the game look so nicely and go together well with all of the different colours that are happening on the screen was a good feature to have. Some users might have been a bit put off by the colours if they didn’t look right or just looked downright awful compared to everything else on the screen. The little brain picture that comes up after every level was a cute interesting thing to add to the game. It is always sort of a risk to add something like a brain into the game, because you might get a picture that looks a little bit too realistic for a brain and ends up grossing people out instead.

This game did not run into that issue as the brain looks like it is fake enough so that it becomes both sort of cute and sort of funny looking. Something else that I liked about the artwork of this game was the fact that it fit nicely in the screen. Some games have that little bit extra off of the side or in some direction when you play them, but this one fit the screen that I was playing on nicely and there were no issues with it at all.

Music and sound effects:

There was no music in this game, so I cannot give it a grade but the sound effects in WordBrain are a 7/10.

The sound effects that were in the game were noticeable enough if you had your sound on, but if you didn’t have your sound on you weren’t really missing anything which isn’t good for a game. It’s better for a game when you really feel like you are missing out when you don’t have the sound on because it encourages people to listen to something that the company that made the game worked hard (maybe not in this case) on. I think something that would get more people to listen to the game with their sound on would be having more sound effects in different places.

The only sound effects that were really noticeable and stood out when you were playing the game, were the ones that appeared when you got the letters correctly and they started “falling” to the bottom of the screen. Something else that could definitely bring this game to the next level of enjoyment while having the sound on would be to add some music to it. A nice slow track to ease the player into the game would be good and continue to be relaxed while having the music playing. It would definitely bring something extra to people who are playing the game, which is always nice for a fan base of the game.

Storyline and originality:

There was no storyline in this game, so I cannot give it a grade but the originality shown in WordBrain is  definitely a 10/10.

While there are other games that have the same nature of matching up letters to make different words from them, I think that this one does one of the best jobs of this game type that is out there. Having the hint system is good, and having the two different words (maybe more at different, higher levels) is also good. If you can’t figure out one of the words that is involved in the puzzle you still (possibly) have the chance of finding the other if it doesn’t need the other tiles out of the way to be done. There is also the hint button which helps out greatly if you are stuck on a level or just need a push in the right direction. Having the nice colours and fit screen as mentioned before also give it those extra originality points.

Gameplay:

I would give WordBrain a 10/10 for the gameplay.

WordBrain was exceptionally fun to play, and was always enjoyable even when the levels got tougher. When they got tougher I challenged myself to find the answers without using hints to maximize the amount of fun that I got from this game. It always feels rewarding when a game gives you an “easy way out” of a level but you don’t have to use it if you can a) think your way out of the situation or b) just don’t want to use them. A strategy that I was using while playing the game was that if a puzzle ending up being more difficult than I originally anticipated then I would just take a little break from the game and when I came back I would almost always find the answer right away for some reason.

It just gave my brain a little bit of time and then when I came back to the game the level just looked a little different to me and the answers made you think “Wow, how did I miss that before? It was right there!” It’s always nice to employ even just that little bit of extra strategy when playing a game that is simple like this one. Something that should be implemented into the game would be a few more advertisements, when I was playing the game I notice 0 ads and I assume (I didn’t actually get to this point) that when you hit 0 hints there becomes a micro-transaction system within the game of using real money to get more hints. If the company has that system in place within the game then it’s half-decent that they don’t have ads in the game.

Ads bring in a bit of revenue which is nice when you make a good game because it gives you that extra little bit of money for a game that was very well done. If there isn’t the micro-transaction system within place then it’s not too good for the company. I hope that the company can maximize the amount of money that they bring in from this game because it was such a good game and I would really like to see them make more if they are of this high quality again. To make more games they would need money to pay all of the different people that have been involved in the process of making the game.

Addictiveness:

I would give this game a 10/10 for addictiveness. It is a superb game and is very fun to play especially if you are good with words. If you are a casual player and maybe aren’t so advanced with the ways of finding the words on the “board” then the game doesn’t put you at a disadvantage as long as you just put a bit more thinking and time into finding the words. Of course if you get stuck there is always the handy hint feature which (I didn’t get to the point of using up all the hints) might get to the point where the hints become a pay X amount of money for Y amount of hints, so that players can continue to enjoy the game to get even better at it.

Just the design and simplicity of the game make it very easy to get addicted to as well though. If you are waiting somewhere for someone or something you can just pull this game out and not only kill a bit of time, but also improve your thinking skills while doing it. It is also nice that this game requires no time dedication keep having fun at this game, and it stays fun if you play it for longer.

Overall rating:

Overall, I would give WordBrain a 10/10.

WordBrain was an excellent brain engaging game that was very, VERY fun to play. Having to think your way out of situations to get to the next puzzle level is a very good system and it keeps the user  engaged and having a good experience with the game. The hint system is good if you are stuck and have been stuck on puzzles for a while as it acts kind of like a “free ticket out”. Having those available to the user will keep them more and more interested because when they get stuck they don’t have to go “well, I’m stuck nothing I can do more with this game” which some games have and the only way to get around it is by paying money to continue on which may be a large deterrence to people who play mobile games casually or just to make themselves think a bit more during the day.

As said before, the game could definitely use something in the way of music, but other than that little point the game is basically perfect. The artwork, gameplay, sound effects, and originality all are excellent pillars for the games high quality gameplay. I am glad that I found this game when I was checking out the app store as it was so much fun to play.
