Bloons Tower Defense Cheats, Hack, & Tips for Money & All Towers

Tower Defense games have been very popular over the best couple of years. People simply enjoy the excitement of beating wave after wave of incoming enemy characters, and the fact that you need to keep constructing new buildings, upgrade your existing buildings and simply make sure that none of the enemy characters go through and deal damage to you. Same goes for Bloons TD (which stands for Tower Defense), which was released back in 2007.

In Bloons Tower Defense, you need to construct “defensive towers” along a path to stop incoming balloons from passing by (thus where the name Bloons comes from). The “defensive towers” in this came do not consist of stone guard buildings, but rather cute monkeys and other creatures that throw darts at the incoming balloons, in order to pop them and stop them in their tracks. Bloons TD has been developed and successfully released by game developer Ninja Kiwi, which is a company based in Auckland, New Zealand.

About Bloons TD

On the right hand side of the screen, there is a menu with several options, which you need to pay a lot of attention to. You will be able to see in which round you are, how much in-game money you have, how many lives you have and the five different towers that you can construct along the path to stop incoming balloons. As stated above, you start in Round 1, and you are given six hundred and fifty in-game money and forty lives.

With the in-game money that you have, you can start constructing several defensive towers. The construction of defensive buildings is instantly completed; however, you do need to pay attention to your in-game money because you won’t be able to construct a lot of buildings at the beginning of your gameplay. The difficulty lies in the fact that you need to find out a proper way in stopping all the incoming balloons, with the limited resources that you have.

Once you have constructed defensive towers, you need to click on the Start Round button, which allows the first wave of balloons to come through. The first balloons are all colored red, which means that they are the lowest-tier balloons in the game, thus very easy to pop. You earn one in-game money for every balloon that you pop. Successfully popping all the balloons in a wave will reward you with a certain amount of money.

Once you have cleared a balloon wave, you get the opportunity to either construct more defensive towers or upgrade the defensive towers that you have already constructed. The choice is up to you, because you have to find your own strategy that actually works. The difficulty and amount of balloons will significantly increase, after each wave of balloons that you successfully clear. According to this, you need to set up more defenses.

Every time a balloon does make it through your defenses, you will lose a life. You have a total of forty lives, which means that you are allowed to pass a total of forty balloons past you, before it is game over. There is no way to replenish your lives during your gameplay, which really means that you need to be very careful and try not to allow any balloons to pass by.

There is no real end in Bloons Tower Defense, which means that the game will continue until you simply lose all of your lives. You can also not save your progress, so if you close your browser, you will have to start from the beginning.

Bloons Tower Defense In-game store

Bloons Tower Defense only has one kind of currency, which is simply called Money. You can easily earn in-game money by successfully popping balloons with you defensive towers, and by successfully clearing a whole wave of balloons. The more balloons and balloon waves you clear, the more difficult the game becomes, the more in-game money you earn. Once you have collected enough in-game money, you can start constructing more defensive towers.

There are a total of five different towers in Bloons Tower Defense, which you can purchase, place next to the paths on the map, and upgrade them to increase their effectivity. The first defensive tower is called the Dart Tower, costs 250 in-game money and has a fast speed. The Dart Tower looks like a monkey that shoots a single dart at incoming balloons. The Dart Tower can be upgraded to piercing darts and long range darts.

The second tower is called the Tack Tower, costs 400 in-game money and has a medium speed. The Tack Tower shoots a volley of tacks in eight different directions and can be upgraded to increase its shooting speed and range.

The third tower is called the Ice Tower, costs 850 in-game money and has a slow speed. The Ice Tower freezes balloons that come near to it. Frozen balloons are immune to darts and tacks; however, bombs can and will destroy them. The Ice Tower can be upgraded to increase the “freeze time” and to have a larger freeze radius.

The forth tower is called the Bomb Tower, costs 900 in-game money and has a medium speed. The Bomb Tower works very well together with the Ice Tower because it launches bombs at balloons, which explode on impact. The Bomb Tower can be upgraded to have bigger bombs and a longer range.

The fifth and last tower is called the Super Monkey, costs a whopping 4000 in-game money and has a “hypersonic” speed. According to the description, Super Monkey towers shoot a continuous stream of darts that can mow down even the fastest and most stubborn balloons.

The developers did not include an option to purchase in-game money with real money, which means that you will have to really play the game in order to be able to earn in-game money and progress through the game.

Cheats & Tips for Bloons Tower Defense

When you search for Bloons Tower Defense cheats on Google (or any other search engine for that matter) you will easily find dozens of results of websites that claim that they are offering working cheat tools, hack tools or modifications for Bloons Tower Defense. Fake cheat tool websites have existed for a very long time now. The main reason why they exist is because there are so many people who are willing to do almost anything, just to get their hands on some working cheats, which they can use in their favorite game. The owners of the fake cheat tool websites know this, which is why they try to exploit it as much as possible. The owners of those websites earn a lot of money by tricking people into filling in surveys.

After you have successfully filled in a survey, you will be redirected to a download page, which automatically downloads the so called cheat tool. Once you have downloaded the so called cheat tool, you will quickly find out that you have been duped, and that the files you have just downloaded are nothing but empty shells, designed to make it look like the cheat tool really works. Instead of wasting your time trying to find working cheats for Bloons Tower Defense, I will give you some tips and tricks that will help you during your gameplay.

Bloons Tower Defense Gameplay Tips and Tricks

It is always wise to try out different kinds of approaches when it comes to constructing defensive towers along the path. Some people like it to spread out their defensive towers as far as possible, while others construct them very close to each other. Whatever approach you take, it is almost certain that you are going to have to start the game over a couple of times, due to the fact that the balloons simply always find a way to pass through your defenses. The best way to find a perfect solution is to simply try out different tactics while playing the game.

If you are really looking to cheat in Bloons Tower Defense, you should definitely not try to download any of the so called cheat tools from the internet (as stated above). There are multiple Flash game websites that offer “hacked” versions of popular Flash games, which allow you to directly play them online without having to download anything.

For example, in the hacked version of Bloons Tower Defense, you have an unlimited amount of in-game money, which means that you can construct as many defensive towers as you want and even upgrade them. Of course, being able to do this basically defeats the purpose of the game, because it takes away the whole challenge. You can easily find the hacked version of Bloons Tower Defense by using your search engine.

Bloons Tower Defense Review

When Bloons TD was released back in 2007, I definitely remember playing it. Even though I wasn’t really impressed by it back then, I still decided to write a review about it. Just like many tower defense games, in Bloons TD, your goal is to stop incoming balloons from making the end. I like the fact that you can simply go to any Flash game website and start playing the game.

Two very positive aspects about Bloons Tower Defense is that the developers did not implement any kind of playtime limitation systems into the game, nor did they implement any kind of advertisements into the game. The reason why a lot of developers implement playtime limitation systems into their games is to force players to take a break, and pay real money in order to skip the forced break.

The reason why a lot of developers implement advertisements into their games is because they want to earn money through ad-revenue, which is understandable of course. However, most developers go overboard when it comes to implementing advertisements, which basically turns their games into cheap cash grabs. Thankfully, neither one of these are included in Bloons Tower Defense, which means that you can simply play the game without getting annoyed.

Even though Bloons Tower Defense is a simple and entertaining game to play, if you are looking to kill some time, it still has several negative aspects. For starters, I do believe that the developers could have added more content to the game, especially after the initial release. It has been several years since the game is available on the internet, but the developers basically abandoned it to create other games.

Even for its time, Bloons Tower Defense lacked a lot of content, which is why it astonishes me how it was able to become so popular. The second negative aspect is that the game latterly contains only one level. This means that you will have to play the same level over and over again, constructing the same five towers near the same path. This makes Bloons TD very boring in the long run.

Bloons Tower Defense Ratings

Artwork: I give Bloons Tower Defense a 6/10 for its artwork. Bloons Tower Defense is a quite old game, which is why I don’t want to bash the developers too much for making the graphics and animations so simplistic; however, I believe that the developers could have at least spend a little bit more time on designing the game. Whenever you try to place your defensive towers, the game feels like it is experiencing lag spikes, even though there is barely anything happening on the screen. I also would have liked it if there were more than five towers available within the game, and several new maps would have been very nice as well. The animations in Bloons TD range from your towers shooting tacks or needles, to balloons popping just like in comics.

Music & SFX: I give Bloons Tower Defense a 7/10 for its music and SFX. There is only one soundtrack and a couple of sound effects in Bloons Tower Defense, which are of pretty decent quality. The soundtrack plays in a constant loop in the background, but it does fit the overall theme of the game, which is why it will not bother you at all during your gameplay. The sound effects range from simply click SFX to balloons popping SFX, and fit nicely together with the soundtrack of the game. Perhaps a few extra soundtracks/sound effects would have been nice.

Story & Originality: I give Bloons Tower Defense a 7/10 for its story and originality. Even back when Bloons Tower Defense was released, there was already an overflow of tower defense games. People seemed to enjoy playing such games very much, due to the fact that they could be pretty challenging. The best part about games back in those days is that you could simply play them in your browser, without having to download any additional files or programs. I do not believe that tower defense games are original at all; however, Bloons Tower Defense does have its own twist, when it comes to “enemy characters” and defensive towers. There is no story behind Bloons TD; however, a strategy game like this does not need one anyways.

General Gameplay: I give Bloons Tower Defense a 7/10 for general gameplay. The gameplay in Bloons TD does not start with a proper tutorial; however, there are several text balloons at the beginning of your gameplay that tells you exactly what you need to do. Once you have played the game for a while, the gameplay does become pretty repetitive and straightforward, but that is the case with many tower defense games. I do like the fact that the balloons change color and become more difficult, the longer you play the game. The controls in Bloons Tower Defense are smooth and responsive, and although the user interface is simplistic, it does fit the game nicely.

Addictiveness: I give Bloons Tower Defense a 6/10 for addictiveness. I have played several tower defense games in my life, and I can slightly remember that I have also played Bloons TD when it just came out; however, I can’t really say that the game is overall addictive for me. In order to increase the addictiveness of Bloons TD, the developers would need to add way more defensive towers to the game, which would mix things up a bit. It would have also been nice if you could actually clear a whole level and proceed to different levels, which doesn’t happen in Bloons Tower Defense. I do like the fact that the game does not have any advertisements or playtime limitations implemented in it, allowing you to play the game without getting annoyed.

All things considered, I give Bloons Tower Defense a 7/10.
