Fish & Shark is an endless runner with a slight twist – that’s not running you’re doing, you’re swimming! Play as either the Good Fish or Bad Shark – each with their own attributes – and swim through a beautiful, crystal clear ocean. Make sure to dodge the obstacles, though. We’ll help you get through with our Fish & Shark cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide.
Swim true and strong with our Fish & Shark cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide and remember to have fun!
Start out with Good Fish!
The main difference between Good Fish and Bad Shark is that GF moves at a nice, brisk pace. BS torpedoes through the water really fast, making it really hard to judge your jump distances, so you should start out with GF to ease into the feel of the game.
Practice your jumps! Tap and hold for higher jumps!
If you tap lightly, your aquatic friend will do a little hop. The longer you hold down a tap, the higher you’ll go. The gravity on your swimmer is a bit floaty, so be sure to practice around with it so you get used to the jump arcs. Remember you can let go at any point during your jump to start descending. This in a important technique so don’t forget about it!
Aim for the yellow cubes!
See those little yellow cubes floating around on the pads? Those are placed in the ideal landing zones. Try to aim for them to get a general sense of how you should control your jump. They also give you a couple points when you pick them up too!
Watch for the island peaks!
Because of the 3D look of the game, it’s sometimes hard to judge what is actually on the same plane as you. As a general rule of thumb, any part of the islands you have to jump over are usually all dangerous, so aim to go over them.
Be careful of perspective switches!
So here’s something I didn’t see coming! A little bit after the 6th or so island you jump over, you’ll see an arrow pointing towards the background. When you hit it your swimmer will start swimming towards the background. You still have to jump over islands so be alert!
Practice makes perfect! Don’t give up!
So initially I crashed a lot when I first played Fish & Shark. Truth be told, it’s actually kind of hard to determine how high and long you should jump for because sometimes you can’t really see the whole island before you’re required to jump. Just remember that this is another trial and error game, but thankfully the path is not randomly generated, meaning it’s always the same. With enough attempts you’ll memorize the path and you’ll be flying across the water in no time.
That’s about it for general tips. Like other endless runner type games, the majority of success lies within your own skill. Keep trying and don’t give up! If you have any suggestions or tips, leave a comment below. Happy swimming!
