It is the most important thing to upgrade all of your items to max in order to get the best stats possible.  The stats in this game is what matters and not really how good that your boxer looks.  The game can be super fun if you manage to beat everyone that you face by getting the best possible stats.  The stats determine how many hits you can take as well as your speed in the game along with how much damage you are going to do per hit that you get on your opponent.  Because this is so important, you can’t really ignore the fact that you need to get items in order to win the game and beat others at the game.  

When you do get better at the game, you should also work on your reaction times in order to see how fast you will be able to dodge the punches from your opponent.  You can either block their attack or dodge their attack.  Usually dodging works better because you can also punch right after that which should do a decent amount of damage.

The graphics are alright for the game that it is.  The thing that makes the game a lot of fun is the idea of the gameplay and how it really interacts the player with the game.  The game really feels like a lot of fun when you are playing it because you can kind of get your anger out through the game and express yourself through the game by throwing a couple of bunches at a bot in a game.  I think that pretty much everyone would find this kind of game fun because of the nature of it and the fact that you want to beat up this bot and be the best at the game that you possibly can be.    I do find, however, that the game does lack a storyline, but is a storyline really needed in all games?  I think that this game especially benefits from having no storyline because you can just constantly face off against opponents who eventually start to get better and then it motivates you to get better at the game so that you can constantly beat down on your opponents throughout the game.  

I do think that the interface of the game is a bit crowded and a bit unnecessarily non-ad free.  There are a ton of ads to make the game profitable for the producers but they go a bit more overboard than other games.  I think that if they separated the items into more tabs, it would be much cleaner and much easier to follow than the game that it is right now.  Games benefit from having a cleaner interface because more players can play it because it won’t be as confusing as it is right now and people wouldn’t quit from lacking the knowledge on what to do in the game.

Pretty much everyone would like this game, but especially teens because they enjoy this kind of punching game that they can play with their friends and try and see who is better at the game.  However, I think that more kids are interested in dueling their friends rather than looking for a high score.  So if they did add the dueling I think they would make a lot more money because I think that a lot more people would play it and then try and be better than their friends and then end up spending money on a free game.  The fire of competition is always something that games like these should feed on.  If they don’t, it was a wasted opportunity to try and get more people to play the game and generate a higher profit out of the game.

I would give Punch Hero a 4/10. The artwork of the game is a bit on the poorer side, but you don’t really need the artwork to be that great for the game to be good.  All you really need for this game to be decent is some good gameplay, which this game has.  The artwork is more animated so it’s hard to judge it off of that.  The artwork does make sense with the game so I don’t think that they really need to improve on the artwork, but I just don’t think that the artwork is done super amazing.

Music and SFX

I would give Punch Hero a 5/10.  There is no real good music here, but it’s just like what was classy back in the days so it is a bit on the cheesy side but overall it is okay.  The sound effects do a lot to the game because they have those animated punching sounds that bring more satisfaction to the game when you manage to land a good shot on someone else.  I think that the game really benefits from that and couldn’t improve any more on the sound effects aspect of the game.

Story and Originality

I would give Punch Hero a 7/10. There is no real storyline that connects all of the gameplay together besides the fact that you want to become the best boxer and all of that shenanigans.  I don’t think a storyline would have made sense here unless this was going to be some sort of story mode where you faced bots that would get harder along with some other scenes where they actually connect the story together.  If they don’t then I don’t think that the game should have a story and really just keep it as it is right now.  The game seems pretty original for me considering I have not seen a game like it before.  I don’t think that I have experienced this kind of boxing game with this much customization with the items that you can build along with the fact that you can put your face on the boxer.

General Gameplay

I would give Punch Hero a 7/10.  The gameplay of punching as well as attaching items was very good and I think that people criticize it a bit too hard on the reaction of the punch and when you actually tap the screen.  I think that it is actually quite fine and the numerous punches you can do along with the numerous amount of things that you can do outside of the game really make the game a lot more fun and a lot more entertaining than it otherwise would be.  I would imagine that this game is also pretty popular due to the competition of how many points can you score between your friends, but some additional gameplay that would make the game even more fun would be the addition of a live one versus one.  Even though it would be difficult, I’m sure that it can be done and it would be a big hit.

Addictiveness

I would give Punch Hero a 8/10.  I think that Punch Hero is actually a really fun game that you can add a lot more to.  The fact that you can build more items and upgrade those items as well as put your face on the game itself is really interesting and a fun idea.  I think that it makes the game more customizable to the player and also a really fun kind of action game that people enjoy.  I think that the game would be more addicting if it was still popular right now.  If more people played and you could duel people one versus one then it would be very hot and pretty much be the new fad.  But, because it is pretty much over for the updates, I don’t think that they will come out with a one versus one which is pretty disappointing.

Overall Rating

Overall, I would give Punch Hero a 7/10 because the gameplay excels pretty well but the rest of the game for the music and artwork does lack a little bit.
