Dont steal cars - Moving through the town - General advices - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Don't steal cars. During the game, you will need to drive a vehicle only one time. There aren't many of them too choose from, you can't store them and this time there is no way to tuning them. Thanks to the sprint and flying you will get to any place on the map much quicker than with a car and thanks to the upgrades your character quickly becomes more resistant than any vehicle. Ignore them, unless they are a part of the task or they are shooting at you.

Watch out for passing vehicles. From the garbage truck flaming barrels fall out, ambulances are having a habit of driving through the pedestrians, some civilian cars are on fire for no particular reason and the armored vehicle has a turret. Every vehicle is a potential threat to you. Because of that, at the beginning of the game make a few laps through the city and observe the behavior of different vehicles. Check, what they do when you are being sought and how they behave after being attacked by you. It is important since some of them might be an obstacle during the missions. It is stupid to die during a mission simply because you haven't paid attention to an ambulance trying to ride through you.

Watch out for lightning. In the Hell from time to time a lightning will struck a random place. They can hit you or the vehicle you're driving as well. You can't do anything about it, so just keep that threat in mind.

Learn to fly. Flying is the most comfortable way of transporting in Gat out of Hell, far more efficient than Super Sprint. During the Flight arcane tutorial carefully read all instructions and try to remember as much as possible. After the tutorial, immediately start training. Learn how to gain speed, check for how long can you fly up and make few slaloms between the buildings. At first it might be troublesome, but you should quickly learn all techniques of this Arcane. Thanks to this power, the whole city will be open for you to explore. You will be able to quickly gain Soul Clusters as well, which more often are placed on walls, flying islands and roofs. With enough practice, you will be able to fly through whole city without the need to land.

When flying, bounce from the buildings. When flying, try to bounce from the nearest building. You should see that the amount of XXX, additional swings of your wings, has been recovered. You don't need to run on the wall, the single bounce will be enough. It works similar with bouncing from the earth, but doing it without landing requires some practice.

Use sprint only if you don't have other choice. Super Sprint ability allows you to quickly travel through the city, but it is limited only to the ground. Meanwhile, many collectibles can be found on the walls, roofs and flying islands. After learning all the nuances of flying you will be able to travel much quicker and be able to reach places to which you can't get by running. Flying is more useful when running away as well, for it allows you to reach places where demons can't go. For that reason, use Super Sprint at the beginning of the game, but later try to mostly fly. You will quickly see the difference, especially when you will learn that sprint can roll over cars and increase your Notoriety level. Flying doesn't do that, it will save you the trouble with the demons.

If you want to take over a car, watch out with running. If you bought the Unstoppable upgrade for Super Sprint Arcane, then when running to a car you will most likely roll it over. Or throw it from the bridge to lava. If you want to sit inside it, pass it, stop in front of it and then try to steal it. It is especially advised in case of motorcycles and civil cars. Armored vehicles will either stand in one place and shoot at you or ride to fast to roll them over by accident.

When flying, watch for lava waterfalls. Unexpectedly, contact with it can hurt you. But it won't make you lose control of your character. To be hurt, you must fly in the middle of waterfall. If you just touch it with a wing, nothing will happen.

Avoid rockets. A direct hit will take a lot of your hit points and make you lose control. Learn to avoid projectiles as fast as possible (Maneuvers, one of Flight upgrades). Better do it before reaching level 5 of Satan's Wrath, when the Spires that shoots rockets become active.

Killing the Archduke will reset your notoriety level. The demon shows only after reaching the maximum level of Notoriety, after killing enough of lesser demons. Sometimes it is more profitable to fight demons, kill the strongest of them and enjoy the lack of authority interest in you than to run through the city and wait for the Notoriety to fall down.

If you don't know what to do, look at the map or into the Quest Log. In both those places you will find all information needed about important places, missions and rewards for them. Make a habit from regularly checking both those places. Thanks to that, you will be never lost in the game.

Make aerial stunts. In the game you can make so called Barnstorming, a flight under bridges, arches or roofs without walls. There are a few dozens of places in the city. They are not marked on the map, but you will find them while collecting the Soul Clusters, making Activities or during simple exploration of the city. Generally, if you can fly under something, you should do it. Those actions are rewarded and required for completing one of the additional tasks.

Exploit the stupidity of AI - Combat - General advices - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Exploit the stupidity of AI. Enemies are unable to hide under cover. They will shot at you even if you will stand next to them. They won't have anything against being a model for target practicing of headshots as well. You can outsmart most demons by running for one or two streets away or standing in a place where they can't get in a car. Hiding on the roof is a good way to get rid of most enemies. The only excepts are Shadow Demon, Dark Inciter, Legionnnaire and Archduke. There is a great possibility that those enemies will lock themselves on terrain obstacles or will teleport to places where they can't hurt you. In need, you only must to get away for a few roofs and they should stop bothering you.

Choose a favorite weapon. You don't need to use all seven weapons available in the game. You can win it as well with a handgun as with rocket launcher. If you practice combat with only one or two weapons, you will faster learn their abilities and thus become more efficient in exterminating demons. So, if you don't like machine guns, ignore them. You won't need them. Just try not to limit yourself to one type. Rocket launchers are strong, but useless in close distance, where the shotguns are perfect.

Choose favorite elements. You can fight with all six Arcanes. Even with the Flight, that allows you to take better position and with Super Sprint that allows you to knock over enemies. Other four are easy enough to change and useful in different circumstances that there is no need to limit yourself to one of them. Only exception are the Elements. Changing them is cumbersome and if you do change one of them for another, you will be forced to load your power bar from scratches. Because of that, it is better to choose one element and use it regularly. Except for special circumstances, you won't need to change them during combat anyway.

Use the powers in the right order. First Aura, then Summon and at the end Stomp and Blast. Thanks to that, you will profit from all bonuses offered by the Arcane. Just don't forget about replenishing the Aura and summoning again the fallen creatures.

Use the powers while flying. You can use them both while flying and while hanging in the air, thanks to the Hover upgrade. You can't shoot while hanging, but the Blast and Stomp arcane powers should compensate that inconvenience.

Connect powers and guns. Time for Arcane to regenerate is long, even if you buy all upgrades, and they have limited power and range. For that reasons, don't give up on gunfire in favor of Arcane powers, even those fully upgraded. It is the quickest way to make fights unnecessary long and get yourself into big trouble when more powerful enemies join the battle or when you get in range of Arcane blocking grenades. You should fight with both Arcane and gunfire, so that both those weapons complement each other.

Don't worry about the lack of ammunition. You will always have a little of it, but not little enough to be forced to visit the shop regularly. Defeated enemies drop a lot of it. So, if you are out of ammo at the moment, just change your weapon and pick up what your enemies have dropped. Later in the game, thanks to the right upgrades the lack of ammo won't be a problem anymore.

Avoid explosions and attacks of large enemies. Rockets, grenades and attacks of the largest demons can knock over your character. After the fall, you lose control of your character and you must wait until it stands. It's even worse if the explosion or hit throw your character in the air. In that case, you can't shoot and your ability to move becomes very limited. In other words, explosions and attacks of large enemies takes away from you for a limited time the control of character, so when fighting them you must be careful. This problem is removed after buying the Stability upgrade.

Remember that explosions of your rockets can be harmful for you as well. When fighting in close distance, try not to use rocket launchers or any other weapons that creates explosions. It doesn't matter whether you get knocked down or ignited. In both cases the control of your character becomes limited.

Avoid grenades. Grenadiers have grenades that deactivates the Arcane powers. If you get into their range, it will lower your combat abilities and make it harder to quickly escape. If you see a grenade that is flying in your direction, run. They can't be destroyed, and the field created by them will disappear after a while.

Using the shop pauses the game. It means that you can buy ammo even in the middle of shootout. Enemies will be generous enough to wait till you finish. But watch out since immediately after finishing leaving the shop they will start shooting. It might happen that they will stand next to you and will open fire. So be ready for immediate combat. This trick doesn't work against Archduke who can throw you up and stop the shopping.

Fight with the use of vehicles. If a tank shows in your neighbor, try to take control over it and use its turret against demons. Instead if destroying the Sinterpol vehicle, enter it and ride over pedestrians. When driving a car take the machine gun and shoot at cars chasing you. The car will give you additional vitality, and, in case of a tank, a gun with great firepower and unlimited ammo. Don't focus on fighting with other vehicles, but whenever an opportunity to control them occurs, take it.

Don't worry about dying. Death means losing a little amount of money and respawning few blocks away. So don't consider it a punishment but rather a small obstacle.

Save your money - Resources - General advices - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Save your money. Most character and weapon upgrades cost a lot. There is a great possibility that you will finish the game with only one maxed weapon. For that reason, don't buy unneeded upgrades and ammunition for weapon you don't use often. Even later in the game, when you will be getting thousand of Wages, you will quickly find out that still you can't afford all upgrades.

Earn on missions. Enemies, even the strongest ones, don't leave much after their death in comparison to the sums that you need to buy weapons and upgrades. Even 200 Wages isn't much when an special weapon upgrade costs 20000. Usually, you will earn more on completing a "kill 100 demons" task than from killing those enemies in the street. For that reason, better focus on completing tasks than street fighting. Unless those battles are a part of the task or you want to challenge enemies like Archduke, whose killing is worth few thousand Wages. You will earn quite decent amount of money on destroying the Spires. You can get nice income from tasks than doesn't require much effort as well - killing a specific amount of demons, running for a specific distance or opening the Blackbeard Chests. In general, whatever you will do, sooner or later you will get money for it.

Earn on collectibles. Audio Tomes allows you to earn twice - first when you find them, second time for completing tasks related to them. It works similar with the Comments, especially since you can collect them two times. Glyphs are a good source of income as well, just as the chests opened by them. Because of that, whenever you're in need of money, look around for books or keys to the chests. In a short amount of time you are capable of collecting even tens of thousands of Wages.

Earn on vehicles. Tasks related to the Comet car, ambulance or Sinterpol car offers nice rewards and are required for finishing the game in 100%. Additionally, they are light, easy and quite enjoyable. Especially the ambulance, which is hard to find and even harder to take control of. Getting it is a reward all itself.

Invest in superpowers. You have six of them at your disposal. You will mostly use the flying and quick running, so invest much of your resources in them. Pick up two from other four Arcanes which you consider most useful. Whenever you will have free points, invest first in chosen Arcanes and only later in other ones.

You don't need to save souls. There is a lot of Soul Clusters in the game, during a short fly through the city you can collect even three hundred of them. You are capable of quickly collecting as much Souls as you need to upgrade all needed abilities. Only exception is the beginning of the game when every soul is extremely valuable. Later, unless you're buying everything that you can, you can stop worrying about saving them.

Don't collect all soul clusters. Unless you want to complete the game in 100%. You will be able to upgrade most Arcane to high level without the need to collect almost one thousand Soul Clusters found in the city. Collect those that you will find on your way, but don't concentrate on them. If you invest your points wisely, you won't be suffering from the lack of those.

Those weapons are used in direct combat with the minions of Satan - Melee weapons - Weapons - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Melee weapons

Those weapons are used in direct combat with the minions of Satan. For obvious reasons, they don't have ammunition and until you get better arguments they are the weapon of last resort.

Fists/Knifes

Can be used for fun, but useless in long term.

Omega Omega Omega

One hit with this weapon throws your enemy for a long distance. It works on every enemy, even those heavy armored like Grenadiers. The only exception are Archduke and flying enemies. You won't reach them by attacking from the ground, and when you fly or jump you can use this weapon. A good weapon until you get something better.

Gods Hammer

Standard attack of this weapon is very good against large groups of enemies, it will hurt them and throw them away at the same time. It can hit flying enemies as well so it is good against Dark Inciters and winged demons. Just avoid being knocked over or ignited while loading the hammer, the attack will fail in that case.

Secondary attack allows you to quickly kill weaker enemies with one shot and it deals massive damage to stronger ones. It throws away enemies as well while the standard attack only slightly throw them in the air. Throwing doesn't work on tanks.

Slow, usually requiring you to regularly pull the trigger, not strong, but quite accurate. Good for the beginning, especially since they don't consume ammunition as fast as their larger friends. After upgrading can be useful later in the game as well. By default you can hold only one pistol, thanks to the Dual Wield ability you will be able to hold two of them at once.

.45 Fletcher

Standard handgun with not impressive rate of fire and firepower. It can be equipped with explosive ammunition. Sadly, its accuracy can't be upgraded, and it is very low in comparison with many other weapons. Good for the beginning, later you should change it for something better.

Energy Caster

Sniper crossbow that shoots with energy charges. After hitting, enemy will receive additional damage for few seconds, it allows you to save some ammo in longer term. This weapon deals good damage, it's rate of fire and reload time is nice and you can shot accurately with it. Additionally, thanks to the special upgrade, all enemies around the hit enemy will be harmed by lightning. If you want to use handguns and you're not interested in Seven Deadly Weapons, then choose this one.

Their greatest advantage is rate of fire and lack of necessity to reload after every shot. You just need to pull and hold the trigger. It means a very quick use of ammo and lack of accuracy as well. Thanks to the Dual Wield ability you can hold two of them at once.

Exodus 10

A gun that shots with locust. This weapon is half-homing, bullets will try to hit any target that is more or less on its trajectory. They can turn in a limited manner as well. After getting the target, locust will deal damage to him for few seconds. A good weapon if you don't want to worry too much about aiming. It can be upgraded to deal more damage with direct him and so that the locust will be more bitterly during the few seconds of attack. Thanks to that, this weapon can be effective with precise and not precise aiming as well. Additionally, a special upgrade makes part of the locust returning to you, which recovers some of the ammunition. You must remember that it is a machine gun, so it quickly consumes ammunition. Before you decide to use this weapon, give a few training shots to see how the locust moves. If you like it, then you just found a weapon for yourself.

When using this weapon, watch out for demons that you have summoned. Locust doesn't distinguish friend from foe and it can bite Titan if he gets on its way.

Brimstone Belcher

Machine guns with nice specification. They are a bit inaccurate, but they have good firepower and rate of fire. Their special upgrade makes enemies that are hit receive additional damage for a short period of time. Very useful, universal weapon. If you want to fight with machine guns and Exodus is to weak for you, choose this one.

Good for short distance, useless for long distance. They have nice firepower but they require to regularly pull the trigger. They can be too weak for street fighting, but they are the best when conquering buildings.

Damned Impaler

Crossbow with good range and firepower and not bad reload time. Its bullets splits vertically. It makes it very useful to remove large groups of enemies standing near each other. Additionally, bullets shot with this weapon throw away most enemies and even some vehicles. An enemy that is thrown away can't move and shoot, so he stops being a threat for a short time. Thanks to special upgrade, enemy that is nailed to the wall will explode, but it doesn't happen too often. Most of them will die before they will reach wall, so you shouldn't bother with that upgrade.

A disadvantage of the crossbow is it limited ammo capacity. The weapon requires you to reload after ten shots. Despite that, it is one of better shotguns and guns available in the game. You should use it. It can be regularly found near the bodies of flying demons.

Ultor Soulsweeper

Semi-automatic weapon with nice stats that becomes far better with upgrades. Good for fans of classic shotguns. A fire shot by it is less diffused than in case of Damned Impaler, thanks to that weapon deals greater damage on small area. Upgrade makes it a fully automatic weapon that doesn't need to be reloaded after every shot. A good weapon, but in comparison to Damned Impaler it is nothing special.

Strong and quick, but very inaccurate and very ammo consuming. Good for fighting against large targets or groups of enemies, less useful when accuracy is needed.

Ultor LMG

Big firepower and rate of fire, very large ammo clip. On the second side, long reload time and bad accuracy. A weapon that is good in fighting large enemies, but it quickly consumes ammunition. Thanks to a special upgrade, holding it in your hands reduces received damage. Very useful after increasing ammo capacity and accuracy, but except for that, nothing special. Just a typical machine gun that isn't special in comparison to other weapons.

Lava Cannon

A weapon with large firepower, but low rate of fire, at least until upgrading. It deals explosive damage. Very good after few upgrades, especially ammo clip size and reload time. Thanks to a special upgrade enemies shot with it are on fire. Very good weapon for those that like to fight with machine rifles. A lot of demons fight with that weapon.

A weapon that causes explosions. Good to combat large group of enemies with it, not useful in close combat. Reckless use can end with being hurt, ignited and thrown away due to explosion.

Ultor Rocket Launcher

A rocket launcher with large firepower and explosion area. A special upgrade allows you to manually control rockets. Very useful when fighting large groups of enemies, although you must watch out for explosions, they don't distinguish friend from foe. Launcher allows you to quickly eliminate most of enemies, including tanks, but it has a small ammo clip. When using it to fight, you must save ammunition and not waste it on single enemies.

Be careful when you will control the rocket trajectory. It is possible that the missile will fly behind enemy back because you ordered him to change direction at the wrong time. If you want to use homing missiles, first take some time to learn how to control them. Otherwise, you will more often miss during combat that hit and you will be forced to shoot at wall or ceilings, so that the enemy will be hit by explosion. Additionally, you can control only one rocket at a time. It means that if you shoot one rocket and it will fly in unknown direction, you will be able to shoot the second only after the first explode in contact with wall or enemy. It greatly reduces the rate of fire and usefulness of the rocket launcher.

Lil' Croaker

A weapon that shoots with exploding frogs. After they launch, they will jump to the nearest target. You can shoot them directly at enemy or near them. The frog will find its way. Frogs have constant strange, but you can upgrade range of their jumps and reload time of the weapon. Additionally, thanks to the special upgrade frogs will use their tongues to get to enemies even quicker. A very good weapon, nice rival for the rocket launcher. If you like using grenade launchers and you don't want to worry if you hit or miss, use this weapon. Otherwise, take the rocket launcher.

As name suggests, in this category you will find weapons that don't fit any previous groups. Most humble category, it has only two weapons in it.

Umbral Rifle

Sniper rifle that allows you to shoot while walking, even while aiming through the scope. It shoots slowly, has a small ammo clip and long reload time, but offers great firepower, it is very useful against strong enemies like Archduke. A special upgrade gives you additional Wages after killing every enemy. Useful, but only if you will use this weapon regularly. It is expensive and it will take some time before investment will pay off.

One of the upgrades increase scope zoom, but it is better to ignore it, unless you want to play sniper or train headshots. There won't be enough situations in the game for better zoom to prove useful purchase.

A melee weapon - Seven Deadly Weapons - Weapons - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Uriel's Edge

A melee weapon. It can be found in Satan secret chamber, to which you gain access after getting all five Marshalling Grounds.

A sword that deals explosive damage. Standard attack sends a fireball towards enemy, second attack make wide cut. Best of melee weapons, that can be use in situations that require gunfire. After few upgrades it is able to take down Archduke with a few cuts. If you want to fight melee, then only with this weapon.

Gallows Dodger

A pistol. You will get him after killing Dex seven times. There is only one of it, even if you bought Dual Wielding ability.

This pistol loads while you're killing enemies. After reaching high enough level, it starts shooting by itself until it depletes gained energy. It rate of fire and firepower improves greatly. At the beginning it is slow, with upgrades it become one of best weapons in the game. Upgraded and loaded it offers great firepower and rate of fire of a machine gun.

Diamond Sting

A machine gun. It can be bought in the shop for 100000 Wages.

Weapon with small firepower and clip size, but it has one important characteristic - enemies killed by it drop more Wages. It is a bit too weak for a standard weapon, even with all upgrades. On the other hand, it makes fighting demons finally profitable. You should use it when you need more money and you don't feel like making missions or finding collectibles. Otherwise, it can be ignored.

You might not feel happy when you will see the price, which even later in the game is far too big for such a weapon. If it scares you, don't think about buying this weapon. Two other SMGs are good enough for you not to feel any loss.

Boom Chicka

A shotgun. You will get it for opening all Blackbeard Chests.

Enemies hit with this weapon will not only receive damage, but will stop attacking you as well. Instead of that, for a limited time they will try to get close to you, infatuated by you. Infatuation wears off after they get close, which means you will need to run away from them. You can retreat and shoot at the same time, enchanted enemies won't have anything against that. In comparison to other shotguns this one isn't as good as it could be, and it unnecessarily makes battles last longer. Can be used if you don't have anything better.

Armchair-A-Geddon

A rifle. It becomes available after finishing the Take a break mission.

A great weapon of mass destruction, especially after upgrading the amount of rockets shoot. With its help you can beat virtually every enemy, especially when he can be found in groups. Sadly, this weapon consumes ammunition very quickly, especially if you use rockets often, and it slows your character. Another bad thing about it is that using it or changing weapon is connected to a short animation of sitting and getting up from the chair. In critical situations, it can mean life and death of your character. For that reason, you should use chair in hard battles, but change weapon for something lighter whenever situation becomes more heated. Like when fighting Archduke or similar, powerful enemies. The chair is simply too slow when facing them.

Arc of Covenant

Explosives. Weapon available after defeating the right hand of Satan. To do it, you must increase your Notoriety level to 6. In most cases it will cause Archduke to spawn. But sooner or later, instead of him professor Genki will appear. Kill him to get the weapon.

The Arc has two fire modes. In first one, it shoots a single bullet that causes immediate death of weaker enemies. And the stronger ones it will severely hurt. If enemy will die, from his body several new bullets will fly and attack enemies standing nearby. First bullet has a small course correction, so you don't need to aim very precisely. It is a very useful weapon when fighting groups of enemies.

Second attack works like a vacuum, it sucks creatures in front of you and kills them immediately. It works only on lesser demons. Arc can suck both walking and flying enemies and even car drivers. It makes this weapon effective in close distance as well. In comparison to other explosive weapons, it requires more accurate aiming, and its attack works on smaller areas. Still, it is better than them in power and efficiency, especially when you're surrounded.

Last Supper

Special weapon. It becomes available after visiting three Tacos Malos.

Enemies hit with regular attack will be assaulted by other demons. You can hit more than one enemy at once, which will further increase chaos on the battlefield and get attention of the demons. It doesn't work on strongest enemies like Archduke. Second form of attack shoots a bullet that explodes when hitting surface. This weapon doesn't have ammunition, and it loads for some time, but after few upgrades it becomes very useful when facing group of enemies. In most cases it will be far more useful than sniper rifle.

Required level: from 1 to 20

Buy additional ammunition only for those weapons that you use very often. Preferably for two, maybe three types. With the one you use most regularly, buy this upgrade on third level, which will give you unlimited ammunition. Ignore the rest, since there is a great possibility that you use them rarely. And if so, why would you need additional ammunition?

Dual Wield

Cost: 5500 for pistols, 18500 for SMGs

Required level: 8 for pistols, 9 for SMGs

Buy it only for weapon you use most often. Dual wield means two times greater fire power, but ammunition consumption as well, which requires you to buy Ammo on high enough level. Ignore it, if you don't use pistols and SMGs.

Instant reload

Cost: from 49500 to 51500

Required level: from 16 to 20

Very useful, especially if you connect it with unlimited ammo clip. Buy it for the weapon that you use most often and maybe one another. It is a very expensive ability, so you probably won't be able to buy it for more weapons.

Melee - Super strength

Cost: 6000/18000

Required level: 6/10

Buy it if you use melee weapons or you like to fight hands to hands with demons. Otherwise, ignore it.

Bonus - Scavenger

Cost: 6500

Required level: 11

The damned leave money after they die. But the amount is so low that you will feel any difference after long time. You can ignore it.

Bonus - Wage bonus

Cost: 10000/10000

Required level: 6/9

Increase the amount of money gained from activities and diversions. Buy it as soon as you will have the opportunity.

Bonus - XP

Cost: 8500/21500

Required level: 4/8

As with previous upgrade, but for experience. Buy it as fast as possible. This bonus is more important than the previous one, since the experience unlocks other upgrades. For that reason, if you must choose - wage or xp bonus - choose the second one.

Swap - Wages for clusters

Cost: 7000/23000/39000

Required level: 2/7/12

There is more than 900 Soul Clusters on the map, which means that you will fall on them every few steps. So buying them depends only on how badly you need points for upgrading your powers. First level gives you 35 Soul Clusters, which is sufficient for three upgrades. Second level gives 80 Soul Clusters, and the third one - 105. So it is profitable to buy not more than second level of this bonus. Buy the third one only if you have too much money and you need upgrade points very badly.

Swap - Wages for XP

Cost: 7000/23000/39000

Required level: 1/5/11

At the beginning, an boost of experience will be very useful. Later in the game its value drastically lowers. Especially since you can gain a lot of XP from activities. So the choice is simple - you either buy XP as quickly as possible or you ignore them. Especially since they aren't cheap.

Arcane are six special abilities, to which you gain access early in the game - Arcane powers - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Arcane are six special abilities, to which you gain access early in the game. Four of them are used in combat, other two serve mostly for transport. Every combat power have three Elements, which are its modifiers. Every one of them have their set of upgrades as well. Power upgrades improve their range or regeneration speed, while upgrading Elements increases their power and gives some special bonuses.

In order to improve Arcane you must collect Soul Clusters that are scattered through the city and reach sufficient character level. Most of upgrades cost 10 Soul Clusters, some of them 15. Many of them is divided to levels as well. It especially affects such characteristics like power and regeneration speed.

Blast

Basic combat power and one of two that are used during flying. When used, your character shoots a bullet. It happens quickly enough that you can fire it during a shoot-out and won't feel any bigger difference. So it is a great addition to conventional weaponry, but you must take bullet speed in consideration. It is possible, that before it reaches destination, your enemy will be standing someplace else. Thanks to upgrades this power has greater range and recovers more quickly. At one time, only one bullet can exist. If you use Arcane again, the first bullet will disappear (Soul) or explode (Shadow). Wait until first Blast stops working and only then throw another one.

Stone element transforms enemies hit into stone. It affects demons and vehicles as well, but lasts only for few seconds. Petrified enemies are easy prey, especially after upgrading. It is very useful when fighting better armored enemies or a greater number of those, when you need to catch your breath. It should be used against running away vehicles as well.

Soul shoots a homing missile. This bullet can phase through walls and floors while heading toward enemy. It hits one target, immobilizes it and deals damage. Thanks to upgrades, after killing the first target it jumps towards the next one. The bullet flies towards the closest living creature, which means it can hit completely different demon than you presumed. This Arcane attacks vehicles drivers as well, making takeovers easier. It is good for larger battles, when you don't have the time nor need for more precise aiming.

Shadow immobilizes all targets around the hit area. Enemies can move, but they are greatly slowed and cannot shoot. Additionally, enemies caught in the trap are receiving damage, and the trap itself explodes after few seconds. Enemies can run away from the area of Arcane, but only if you caught them while they were running or driving. Similarly to Stone it works on vehicles as well. Very useful power when fighting groups of enemies. It deals large damage, which can be even further improved with upgrades. But it require precise aiming. All it needs is enemy getting one stop out of its reach for the trap to stop working on him.

Summons

As name suggests, it summons backup. It will work till a summoned creature dies or you summon another one. You can use only one type of summoned creatures at once. It is an ability that is worth using at the beginning of battle and then changing to something else. Summoned creatures should be used as an decoy and treat them like a temporary increase of the amount of your hit points. Bullets that will hit your summons, won't harm you. Upgrades lowers the time needed for regeneration of ability and they make summoned creatures explode when they die. Very useful when facing large groups of demons.

Imp element summons exploding creatures that you surely are familiar with. You can summon one of them at a time, after upgrades even four at once. They can be upgraded so that they will be on cold fire and they ignite nearby enemies. They introduce a lot of chaos into the battlefield, but they can be very useful when facing large enemies or groups of lesser ones.

Tower makes you summon a tower. It hurts enemies that stand in the place where it shows and attacks with spikes those that are close. Thanks to upgrades, it can shoot rockets at airborne targets as well. It is stationary, so it won't do much when enemy gets outside its reach. If you have trouble with flying enemies, you can use it. Otherwise, you can ignore it.

Titan summons your personal Legionnaire. He is strong, resistant, and thanks to upgrades he can attack with jump and knock down many enemies at once. Sadly, he works alone, so he can be easily defeated by bigger groups of enemies. Still, he is a valuable backup on the battlefield. You should use it interchangeably with Imp, depending on your current needs.

Stomp

Your character hits the ground with all his strength, causing a shockwave. For obvious reasons it works only on enemies that stay nearby. Upgrades improves its reach. No matter what element you choose, this power is most useful in case of surroundings or melee combat. Its greatest weakness is reload time. Before your character hits, enemies can ignite you or cause an explosion. In such cases the ability won't work. And it counts as use, so you must wait for reload. For that reasons, using this ability on the middle of combat requires good reflexes and some luck.

Force element deals damage to all enemies surrounding character. In basic version damage is dealt only to weaker enemies, but thanks to upgrades it can affect stronger enemies and vehicles as well. After upgrades it can throw enemies away, not only knock them down.

Vacuum sucks enemies toward your character. Enemies sucked into the vortex receive damage, and if they survive they are thrown away. Thanks to upgrades this power can collect surrounding health kits and Wages, and affect stronger and heavier enemies. Very risky ability, since it can drag items on fire. Vehicles destroyed by it are torn apart and their parts are thrown around. It is good if you like risk. Otherwise, it is better to choose one of two other elements.

Holy strikes surrounding enemies with a holy light, that deals damage. Thanks to upgrades it can stun and cause explosions of those that are killed by it. Very useful ability, especially after upgrading. With a bit of luck you can dispose of very large group of enemies with it. If you want to use the stomp arcane, Holy will probably be the best choice for you.

Aura

After activating this ability works on enemies that are near the character and on the character himself. Consider it a temporary bonus chosen by yourself. Thanks to upgrades activating Aura makes your character move faster.

Coldfire element sets are enemies near your character on fire. Upgrades makes your character flameproof, adds freezing enemies to setting them on fire and gives to some of your bullets powers same as in aura. Element very useful in melee combat, after upgrading it is worth to use it on other situations as well, such as when fighting with Grenadiers or Archdukes.

Vamp sucks life from nearby creatures and transfers it to you. After upgrading, enemies killed with this element transform into citizens of Hell, which after being killed drop additional health kits. One of better auras, useful in every combat. After upgrading it makes your character near invincible. Sadly, it works on everything except summoned demons, so it hurts your allies as well.

Worship makes enemies surrounding you stop shooting and fall on their knees. Flying creatures drop their shield or land. Upgrades makes this power work on stronger enemies and makes your worshippers increase your damage. It is a useful ability since it excludes some enemies from battle, like very hard to catch Shadow Demons. On other hand, it makes the battle last longer. You can play with it for a while, but if you want to use Aura, better choose one of two others.

Super Sprint

This ability allows you to run with great speed. You can use it during combat to knock down enemies or quickly retreat. Upgrades increase your speed and reduces the loss of stamina.

From all available upgrades, Reduced Damage is useful as long as you won't run at full speed. In that case, some bullets will stop hitting you. Unstoppable is necessary if you plan to run through streets. Throwing away vehicles can be used in combat as well, for example to knock over tanks. Haste is good if you lack time or don't have enough space to accelerate. You won't use Lava Running too often, since it is better to fly over lava than run on it. Shield will be needed to unlock other upgrades. Wall Running allows you to collect many Soul Clusters that can be found on building walls. Additionally, climbing is easier and much faster than flying up.

Flight

A flight with the help of angel wings. After learning the rules of flying it will allow you to get to practically every place on the map. In combat, this ability is useful mostly to run away or getting out of range of enemy weapons. It can be use to bomb enemy with powers from safe distance.

Of all upgrades, you should definitely invest in additional Flap charges, thanks to which your flight will last longer. Efficiency reduces consumption of stamina during the flight. It is very important at the beginning, not so later in the game. Stamina Recovery allows you to recover stamina after landing. It is useful, but only until you buy third level of Efficiency. Hover allows you to use powers while hanging in the air. Very useful in many situations. Launching Jump allows you to make additional jumps in the air. It depletes the flaps, but can be helpful in some situations. Maneuvers allows you to avoid bullets shots from Spires. Very important upgrade, especially if you fly through the city a lot and haven't removed the launchers yet. Nimble helps you in maneuvering and for that reason should be bought. Power is necessary, and Stability is useful always and everywhere. Especially if you haven't disposed of all Spires yet or you're fighting large enemies like Archdukes.

In this category you will find both the ground enemies and flying shooters as well, that are armed with Lava Cannon and Damned Impaler - Enemies - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Demon

In this category you will find both the ground enemies and flying shooters as well, that are armed with Lava Cannon and Damned Impaler. A first they can give you trouble, later they will be dying in hundreds. Very susceptible to headshots and any kind of weapons, they especially weak against rockets and other weapons with area of effect.

In the northeastern part of the map, in The Den district, you can find demons that wear masks. They are Tragedy Demons, who doesn't differ from other demons in anything except their look. In the Shantytown you can find demons that were shirts, the Bro Demons. They are your main enemies during the Pledge Rush as well. They differ from regular demons only in their look and loot.

Imp

Small, quick creatures, that you can summon yourself as well. When faced, they throw themselves on you and bite. After they die, they explode hurting everyone around them. The best way to eliminate them is to use Blast power or weapon with area of effect, like rocket launcher. If you face a larger group of Imps, you should retreat and shoot at them. If they get to you, you can shake them off with the action button. They will bite you until you do so.

Dark Inciter

Flying demons. You can't hurt them until you deactivate their force field. You can do it with weapon or power, but the latter will be usually more effective. After losing its shield, enemy will be hanging in the air for a moment and not attacking. If you won't kill him, the shield will return. This demon can summon most of other demons, including Imps, Grenadiers and Shadow Demons, so the later you defeat him, the more enemies will you have to face. Inciter himself can't attack, so without backup he is just a moving target.

When facing him, it is best to use powers for destroying the shield, and then any weapon to kill him. He never lands, so melee combat is not an option.

Shadow Demon

Snipers. After getting close to them, they disappear and show nearby. They have a weapon with long range and large firepower, but they need time to aim and shoot. When fighting them, stay in move and either use auras and homing weapons, or long range weapons. Shooting a demon with shotgun or rifle from distance of two streets might prove too difficult. You can also come close, but not close enough to make him run away and safely kill him.

Grenadier

Don't come close. This demon is always on fire, so when getting close you can ignite. They have heavy weapon Lil'Cracker, big amount of hit points and strong armor. But they are slow and cannot run. Treat them like a slower version of regular demons and try to avoid frogs jumping in your direction.

Legionnaire

Light version of Archdukes. They have many hit points, they fight in close range, they can jump, are quick runners and their attacks can throw you up or knock over. When fighting them, be always in move and use weapons and powers that slower enemy movements. Use shotguns, heavy machine guns or rocket launchers. Don't let them get close to you, if you're unlucky you can lose control of your character for the rest of the battle. During combat, limit flying or fly very high, because demon can be able to jump towards you.

Archduke

As above, but they can teleport, are on fire, have more hit points, stronger attacks and they can summon fire. Difficulty level higher, but the tactic is the same. You should be in move even more in this case, since area of effect of his attack can get you even a street away. Most often he fights alone, it gives you chance to focus only on him.

Sinterpol Tank

It has cannon and machine gun and very small amount of hit points. Shoot him with rocket or one of Arcanes. It is eliminated after one, maybe two shots. It has strong weapon, but it can be avoided with quick moves.

In this category you can find missions, which after completion in most cases trigger a cutscene, and thus they push story of the game forward - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In this category you can find missions, which after completion in most cases trigger a cutscene, and thus they push story of the game forward. In case of Gat out of Hell, which doesn't have a traditional campaign, main missions are loosely connected to each other and in most cases you must do some Activities and take core of various Targets. Thanks to completing those tasks, the Satan's Wrath indicator will be filled. Part of the game will become available after that indicator reach level 5, 10 and finally 15. All ways to increase that indicator have been listed in the game, in the Quest Log tab.

All missions described below become active after you progress in the game. Filling them is the easiest way to complete them, which means filling the Satan's Wrath indicator and facing the Satan in final battle. The indicator can be filled without dealing with missions described below, but in that case progress will be much slower. Most of the tasks you can complete in any order you want or even ignore if you don't want to complete them.

The tasks below have been divided not exactly in the same way as in the game. Some of them are so short or easy to describe that they have been gathered in larger, themed groups. Names of the tasks are the same as in the game.

A prologue to the game - Welcome to Hell - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

A prologue to the game. During it, you will get your first ally, two Arcanes that makes traveling easier and you will learn what the Satan's Wrath indicator is.

Go to Hell

After a cutscene you will be in Hell. Your task is to get to the headquarters of Ultor corporation. The building is marked on the map. Go forward until you reach a street. Wait until a vehicle will pass nearby and steal it. Before that, open the map and mark Ultor building on it. Thanks to that, the game will show you the best way to reach it. Get to the building, walk inside and go to the owner, your old acquaintance named Dane.

When going to the building, you shouldn't be bothered by anyone. Only be careful when getting through bridges. Demons that doesn't follow the law might try to ram you to the lava. Try not to mess with Sinterpol as well. With only a pistol, you won't do much.

Spread your wings

After a talk with Dane, a training in using the wings awaits you. First get four Soul Clusters that will allow you to buy needed upgrades for Flight and Super Sprint arcane. Then complete all the training instructions. Try to get as much as you can from opportunity to train flying, especially the fragments about flying up and holding the momentum. This knowledge will be useful through the whole game. Fly from island to island until Dane tells you it's enough.

Don't worry if you fall into lava. You will immediately be teleported to a place from which you can continue your training.

This mission becomes available after completing the Welcome to Hell - Charge Halo - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This mission becomes available after completing the Welcome to Hell. Your task is to ensure help from five powerful citizens of Hell and potential allies. In return for your help, each of them will give you one Arcane and unlock Targets and Activities in his part of the city. Every one of them will give you one side mission as well.

Collect the Summon Power

Get on the deck of the ship and touch the wheel. After a cutscene, Blackbeard will appear with a large group of Imps. Your job is to protect both the ship and his captain.

There is a lot of enemies, but they won't attack you. Instead of that, they will either jump on Blackbeard or will be moving around, destroying the ship. The pirate can protect himself, but when one of demons get to him, he stops shooting at other ones. If you see that a demon catches the captain, immediately kill him. Thanks to that, Blackbeard will be able to help you with others.

After the first wave, you will be given a new weapon - Gods Hammer. With it, removing the rest of enemies will be piece of cake. What is worth mentioning is that you don't need to get close to enemies. Hammer is strong enough to kill even demons that are one deck higher. You just need to be close enough to enemies.

For your help, Blackbeard will give you Summon Arcane with the Imp element.

Collect the Stomp Power

Shakespeare can be found in his club, near DJ console. Enter inside, a fight with few waves of enemies awaits you.

The club consists of parquet, a balcony and a corridor that leads to them. You should try to get upstairs at the beginning. You will be an easy target below, especially for Shadow Demons and winged demons. During the rest of the task you should hide behind a barrier and shoot at enemies below. After defeating the last wave of enemies, a talk with the owner of the place awaits you.

For defeating the minions of Shakespeare you will be given Stomp Arcane with the Power element.

Collect the Aura Power

Enter the prison and walk forward. You will get to the room with Vlad. After regaining control, kill demons surrounding you and pick up your ally. A fight with large group of demons awaits you, including the flying ones and Shadow Demons. Watch out specially for the latter, since there is not a lot of places in the room where you can hide from them. Best option is to occupy the spot on the highest of balcony and from there shoot at enemies below. Aim at their heads and crouch behind the barrier, to reduce the amount of damage received. At the end, kill the demon near the console and turn off the music.

For your help Vlad will give you Aura Arcane with the Coldfire element.

Collect the Blast Power

Twins can be found inside the building. You can get there through the garage or small, side entrance.

After the talk an attack of demons will occur. You will be in a good place to defend yourself. You can either walk down and hide behind covers in the garage or use the side entrance and flank your enemies. In both cases, you will face a large amount of ground and flying enemies. Try not to fight them on the parking lot, where you will be unnecessarily unprotected. Instead of that, wait in the building until they come for you. After killing the last wave, talk to the Twins.

For your help you will be given Blast Arcane with the Stone element.

In this category you will find larger missions, available after getting the trust of important citizens of the Hell and unlocked with the increase of Satan's Wrath. They can be considered as a small substitute of campaign, since they require the most of effort and they are strictly connected to your activity in the Hell.

Loyalty missions

This task consists of talking to your ally, completing his orders and talking again - Building position - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This task consists of talking to your ally, completing his orders and talking again. They want you to complete Activities and Targets on the territory of their district. List of tasks is different for every ally. Blackbeard will want four favors, Twins six, the rest only five. Description of Activities and Targets can be found in the later part of this guide.

The amount of tasks ordered by your ally consists only of selected Activities and Targets, which you can complete even without talking to them. It might happen that you will complete them all before you will learn what exactly should you do.

For gaining loyalty of your allies you will get a lot of XP and Wages. They are also the easiest way to fill the Satan's Wrath.

Operation: Rescue

You will be given this task after reaching the 10 level of Satans Wrath - Building position - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will be given this task after reaching the 10 level of Satan's Wrath.

In this task you must save your allies kidnapped by the Satan. Each of them is being help by one or few Dark Inciters and a group of demons with various strength. First ignore Inciters and focus on the guards, especially if there are Grenadiers and Legionnaires among them. After killing the most serious obstacles, you can focus on the flying enemies. You can ignore the lesser demons, they won't be a serious threat. After saving the ally you must pick him up. After that, the mission is considered completed. You must repeat the whole operation four times, until you save all allies.

Crash the Wedding

You will be given this task after reaching 15 level of Satans Wrath - Building position - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

You will be given this task after reaching 15 level of Satan's Wrath.

Battle with Satan is divided into three phases. In first one, the enemy will stand near the throne or on one of the elevations and wait for you. You can attack him with no risk. Sometimes he will use his power and drag you towards him, it might happen that he will teleport or throw a fireball at you, but except for that he will be harmless.

In second phase, Satan will transform into a gray cloud and create a few more of those. If you leave them, the clouds will start throwing powerful bullets at you. Your task is to shoot at them and find the one behind which Satan hides. After finding him, he will be vulnerable for attacks for a while.

In third phase Satan will hide behind an protective shield and send various demons at you. The battlefield is small, which will make it harder to run from burning enemies and rockets. But it is a perfect place to fight with shotguns, machineguns and Arcane. Don't forget to summon some backup and use Stomp a lot. Defeat all enemies and the shield protecting their boss will disappear. The first phase will begin again.

The whole battle will last until Satan loses all his health. After that, you must walk towards him and press the action button. During the battle you will control Gat and Kinzie will be supporting you. Enemy has a lot of health points, but he doesn't have any special resistance. Attack him with everything you got, quickly discover under which cloud he hides and eliminate his guards. Take the most from the first phase of the battle since then you can deal the most of damage to your enemy. In other phases, the time to hurt him will be limited. In other words, the better you perform in first phase of the battle, the faster the battle will end with your victory.

After defeating Satan select one of five endings. To see other ones you will need to defeat him again.

In this category you will find tasks that are so short or easy to complete that they are a formality. Most of them is about getting new equipment, such as Seven Deadly Weapons and getting rewards for other, larger tasks.

A marker that triggers the beginning of those missions can be found near them, in the same place where you started the task being part of the Charge Halo. Only Vlad is exception, he will guide you to his castle. You will find him on the top of one of the towers.

In each of those four training your task will be to defeat a few groups of enemies with your newly acquired Arcane. First you will have to defeat a single enemy, then a small group of demons, usually including flying ones. Enemies won't attack you and death won't trigger the failure of the mission.

Shawarma

Mission available after taking over all districts, which means recruiting all allies, and the completing all Activities and Targets - Interludes - Main missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Mission available after taking over all districts, which means recruiting all allies, and the completing all Activities and Targets. You will recognize a district that you have taken control of by the fact that it changed color to violet. After taking control of all of them, walk to the marked placed in the Ultor building and watch a cutscene.

In the game you can participate in 17 Activities divided into four types. They have been scattered through the city. In some districts you can participate in five of them, in others only in one.

Every Activities has a difficulty level and offers three medals to gain - gold, silver and bronze. To be awarded with a medal you must get a specific amount of points or complete the task in a limited time. You can repeat Activities whenever you want and try to beat your score.

The More time ability increases the time limit for completing every Activities. You should buy it as quickly as possible.

Mayhem

Your task is to get as much points as possible through destruction of your surroundings - Activities - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Your task is to get as much points as possible through destruction of your surroundings. Based on your action the game will decide what medal you deserve. The time limit is for completing the whole task. You can complete it faster if you get enough points for a gold medal.

There are three Mayhem Activities in the game. In two of them you will be stripped of your weapons and powers and be given explosive type weapon with unlimited ammunition instead. For that reason, don't try to save ammo, hold your hand on the trigger instead. Only thing that can get in your way is the reload time. In third activity you will be given a tank. He doesn't have any ammunition limit, but he does have limited health points. He can be repaired with the help of repair points lying around. So, when driving a tank, try to remain near one of those so that you will be able to quickly repair your vehicle if it will be needed. The game will inform you when you should repair the tank. If you're not sure, observe tanks armor. If you will see a smoke or fire, it is a sign that it's time for repair.

The game will count points for every vehicle destroyed, enemy killed and surrounding destroyed. The last category includes traffic lights, trash bins and fences. Because of that, don't think too much and simply shoot at everything that you see. Both civilians and hell policemen count, so you shouldn't be too picky.

A few hits in a row are considered as combo. The bigger the combo, the more points you get, but the time to continue it shortens. A 5 hit combo will give you a lot of time to give the next shot, in contrast to 30 hit combo. After the combo ends, you will be given bonus points. For that reason, you should start a combo by shooting at moving targets, like pedestrians, and hold it by shooting at easier targets, like fences and vehicles. Remember, that explosive type ammunition needs some time to reach its destination, so it is a good idea to shoot at targets that are nearby. If you will aim too far, you won't be able to fully use the combo.

Torment Fraud

Your job is to shorten the sentence for one of the sinners that are held in the Hell - Activities - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Your job is to shorten the sentence for one of the sinners that are held in the Hell. You will be controlling that sinner in this activity. Sinner moves slowly, runs even slower and he can't jump to high. After he gets hit by a car he is thrown in the air, which allows him to bounce off from walls, streets and other vehicles.

It is easier to complete this task by hitting one driving car, and then bouncing off from other ones. Every bounce will increase the amount of points gained, which in a short time can reach even few millions. A flight with the sinner can be troublesome since its speed and the cars doesn't always want to show where it would be best for you. So, when airborne, try to look around and change your sinners next target if necessary.

You will get additional points by staying in areas marked by the game and by being on fire. For that reason, keep attention if there aren't any garbage trucks or cars on fire nearby. If they're close, throw yourself mostly at them. Remember that you can bounce from buildings, trash bins, fences and traffic lights. The most important thing is not to allow the sinner to land. Keep him in the air for as long as possible, bounce from cars and keep high speed and you will complete the task quickly

Hellblazing

In this Activity you must win a space race - Activities - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In this Activity you must win a space race. You must get to the finish line while flying through all the check points on the road. There are bonuses on the track. Green balls replenish your stamina while the white ones gives your wings flaps.

The shape of the track is based on the location of the bonuses. It is important, since during the flight you will often fly near buildings. It isn't important for the game from which side you will pass a building, but bonuses will be placed only on one side. It is important when a check point is placed higher or lower than the previous one as well. During a fast flight it is easy to get lost, so you should use the bonuses as orientation points.

To easy complete the activity, you shouldn't worry too much about the score during your first try. Start the race, fly towards the control points and try to memorize the track. Pay attention on which parts of the track there are more stamina bonuses, and where you can find more additional flaps. After you learn the race very well, participate again. This time you should get a much better score.

Salvation

Your objective is to save damned souls - Activities - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Your objective is to save damned souls. They will be falling to the ground and will disappear when they reach it. You must catch them before they do. It doesn't matter when you do it as long as they don't touch the ground. Additionally, during the mission you will find souls that are flying up. After catching them you will get a multiplier of points gained for the falling souls. The multiplier resets if your character cancels the flight, no matter if he stops on ground or a shaft. The flying souls are surrounded by protective field that can be taken out with the Blast.

This Activity requires you to master the rules of flying. Pay attention to where you can find the souls that gives you bonuses. During the flight, try to get at least one of them and immediately fly forward. At the same time there will be more than a dozen of souls to pick from, so you will have what to do. But don't focus on the bonuses, since the maximum multiplier is X4. It is a lot if you haven't mastered the rules of flying yet. Otherwise very little, since every soul collected recovers one Flap. It means that after a bit of training you will be able to fly constantly and keep the multiplier.

In the game you will find 64 Targets scattered through the Hell. The game counts six types of tasks as them, and some main missions, like getting allies or the final battle with Satan.

In contrast to Activities, all Targets are focused on combat. There are no medals for them, and after completing you can't repeat them. And they don't have difficulty levels.

Survival

This task is about surviving waves of enemies - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This task is about surviving waves of enemies. In most cases there are three waves, sometimes only one. Each wave consists of few to few dozens of various enemies, in case of hard tasks even the strongest ones. Usually enemies spawn outside the Target territory and are moving towards you. In means that with a bit of luck you can attack and kill them before they reach the battlefield.

During this task, you should be constantly in the move. There will be a lots of enemies and you are alone, so first eliminate the strongest demons, then his backup. Shotguns, rocket launchers and any other weapons capable of quickly disposing groups of enemies will be useful. Watch out not to fall out of the task area. After leaving it, you will have only few seconds for return.

Altar

There are 8 altars in the game with Elements for the Arcane - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

There are 8 altars in the game with Elements for the Arcane. Elements are scattered randomly, which means that you can find them far away from the place where you got the Arcane connected to them.

To activate an altar you must use the corresponding Arcane on it. The type which you should use is marked on the altar, and the character himself will hint you what to use. After using enemies will spawn nearby. Kill them and then stand on the place marked by the game. This will give you Arcane. As for combat, this task is similar to the previous one.

Spires

There are 26 Spire type locations in the game - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

There are 26 Spire type locations in the game. They shoot rockets in the direction of targets flying nearby them. Those rockets have big firepower and they automatically tracks their target. You can't get rid of them without the Maneuvers upgrade or quick flight. Spire become active after you reach 5 level of Satan's Wrath. Before that, they will be hidden in the ground and impossible to destroy.

Every Spire is protected by a small group of guardians with various strength. You must defeat them and then destroy the Spire with an action button. Destruction requires you to hold the button and can be cancelled by any attack. Before you do it, make sure that the neighborhood is safe. During the battle your Notoriety will be increasing, so the fastest you deal with the security and destroy the building, the better. Spire placed on the roofs and other hard to get places are exception. Reinforcements can have trouble with getting there.

Spire can be used as a good protection from enemy fire. You can leave few demons alive, hide on the other side of the object, make sure that no bullet hits you and start destroying it. It is especially useful against basic demons that don't have explosive weapon.

Marshalling Grounds

In Hell there are six training grounds for the armies of Satan - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

In Hell there are six training grounds for the armies of Satan. You will recognize them by pillars of light that are aimed at the air and pentagrams on your map. Your job is to get to the Control Stones in the middle of the field and convert it. You will do that by getting close and holding the action button. This action won't be stopped when you're under attack. So if you have a lots of health and resistance, you can do it even while being under attack. Only exception are hits from heavier weapons, such as shotguns, explosions, electricity or fire. Such damage will cancel the operation.

There might be from 2 to 4 Control Stones in one location, on the same or different level. So be prepared for some running or flying through floors.

Every training ground is full of demons of all sorts. Their numbers and type depends on difficulty level of a location, but even on low there many of them, much more than in any other place. So prepare yourself for lot of fighting with ground and flying enemies, Dark Inciters and even Legionnaire. If you move to Marshalling Ground, visit a weapon shop on your way and replenish ammunition for your favorite weapons. Otherwise it can end very quickly.

When you get to the destination, you don't need to kill all enemies. When you take control of Control Stones, rest of enemies will disappear. Instead of them an Archduke will spawn at the bottom of the location. Leave some ammunition for your strongest weapon for him. Defeat the enemy and stand in the pillar of light to take control of the location.

After taking control, Marshalling Grounds works like portals. Getting control of all five of them gives you access to Satan secret chamber.

Extraction Facility

Those places serve as a spot to get souls of dead people, which work in the hell as currency - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Those places serve as a spot to get souls of dead people, which work in the hell as currency.

In order to take over a building you must claim three control points found inside. Each of them is controlled by a group of demons with various strength. You must eliminate them all, stand in the marked place and wait until the progress bar fills up. You must do the same in each point. When you take hold of third point, the mission will be considered as completed.

Start with the most distant points, marked with number 2 or 3. Dispose of all demons in the room and take the point. Don't allow anyone stop you, because other demons will start to reclaim the point. Losing the point doesn't mean the mission fails, but it makes the task unnecessarily longer.

A good way to complete the task is to first clear the building and then take control of the unprotected points. Demons won't call backup. Except for Dark Inciters, who are the only demons capable of summoning others. Eliminate them first, then take care of their weaker allies. When last enemy will be dead, taking control of the points will be formality.

Pledge Rush

This Target becomes available after recruiting Vlad - Targets - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

This Target becomes available after recruiting Vlad.

Very easy mission. Your target is to throw Bro Demons to the gates that surround the field. Every thrown demon means you get points. You win if you get enough of them. The only difficulty is to hit demons in such a way that they will fly more or less in the direction of the gates. And you must watch out for weak, but time consuming attacks of your enemies. Except for that, the task shouldn't be a trouble. Remember that you have only Omega Omega Omega weapon, so you must forget about shooting or using Arcane.

In this category you will find tasks that can be found while wandering through the Hell. Some of them, like stealing armored vehicles, can be found often. Other, like Dex killing, are much rarer. To unlock them, you must complete Targets or get allies.

Armored Cars Reclaimed

Task available after recruiting the Twins - Random missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Task available after recruiting the Twins.

In Hell you can find armored vehicles that transport Wages. A specific symbol will show on your mini-map as soon as a vehicle will be near. Your job is to take control of it and park it in the place shown by the game.

If Hell forces aren't looking out for you, those vehicles won't attack you. Otherwise, they will open fire immediately. But instead of trying to kill you, they will try to run away. They're so fast that you might have trouble with catching up to them even with the Super Sprint. The best way to catch them is to use Blast with the Stone element. After stopping the vehicle, start shooting at it. There is a group of demons inside that will walk out once the car loses 1/4 of its hit points. Only after that you will be able to get inside it.

After the battle begins, Notoriety will quickly raise, and it will raise even more after you take over the vehicle. There is a possibility, that when you will enter the vehicle you will already have tanks hunting you. Because of that, when you're preparing to take the vehicle, make sure that the neighborhood is rather safe. Despite appearances, the vehicle is not too resistant. It explodes upon contact with lava and it can take very little heavy gun hits. If an enemy with rocket launcher is nearby, you better dispose of him before you start driving. A good way for that might be increasing the Notoriety until the Archduke shows and defeating him. It will make the Notoriety resets and you will be able to safely drive the car to the marked location. Just watch out not to destroy the vehicle. And don't attack it with too strong weapons, like rockets, it will make the rest of the task harder for you.

Kill Dex

Task available after recruiting Shakespeare - Random missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

Task available after recruiting Shakespeare.

A very easy task. When traveling through the city, you might meet the damned soul of Dex, a character from two first installments of the Saint's Row. Your job is to kill him. Dex doesn't have any weapons, he has very little hit points, and attacking him doesn't raise the Notoriety level too much. It is a formality.

Sometimes Dex will have protection from demons of various strength. Dex will be marked on red, his guards on white. Killing the security isn't mandatory. You can just ignore them, eliminate Dex and quickly run or fly away.

Sin Orbs

After getting the Extraction Facility district some pedestrians will be glowing in yellow - Random missions - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

After getting the Extraction Facility district some pedestrians will be glowing in yellow. Kill them, and a golden orb will be released. Run behind it and destroy it with the action button to get some Wages.

Each of released balls will fly in direction it chooses to. A yellow flag on your map will show you that direction. After reaching that point, the ball will hide underground. You can destroy it only before it reaches its destination, later it becomes indestructible. While chasing it, watch out when you press the action button, it is possible that instead of destroying the ball you will jump into a riding car.

There are only gun shops in Gat out of Hell. Ten shops, gun machines actually, have been scattered through the Hell. They are most often found near large streets, so you shouldn't have any trouble with finding them.

There are six portals in the Hell, one for each district. You must take control of Marshalling Grounds to be given access to them. Each of those locations will serve you as a portal. Every portal allows you to immediately transport to another one. After teleporting, the character will fall from high altitude, which means you can instantly start flying. Access to the sixth portal, that leads to Satan secret chamber, requires you to get five others.

There are two versions of Soul Clusters - Soul Clusters - Collectibles - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

There are two versions of Soul Clusters. The first, blue one, is worth one soul. You just need to collect it. The violet Soul Clusters are worth five souls, but to get them you must complete a short race.

Pay attention to the shape of violet Cluster. You will see that it has something similar to an arrow on one side. After you collect the Cluster, a few smaller points will show in the pointed direction, most often in the air. You must collect them in more or less six seconds. If you do it, you will get five souls. Otherwise, you will have to repeat the flight. You should take the Cluster, see how the track of the mini-race looks like and after that try to get the points.

Because of the amount of Soul Clusters in the game, there is no map of their location in this guide. And it isn't needed, since while you will play you will find them every few steps.

There are 64 Audio Tomes in the Hell divided to six categories - five about your allies and one with Damned Souls Orientation Guide - Audio Tomes - Damned Souls Orientation Guide - Collectibles - Saints Row: Gat out of Hell - Game Guide and Walkthrough

There are 64 Audio Tomes in the Hell divided to six categories - five about your allies and one with Damned Souls Orientation Guide. First five tell you more about your allies. The last one is a guide through Hell for newly damned by God souls.

Damned Souls Orientation Guide has 39 chapters. Due to a mistake of the developers, their order has been disturbed. There is no chapter 31, instead there is chapter 32 right after chapter 30. Because of that, the last one has number 40. Additionally, chapters available from the menu are placed in the wrong order, which makes it harder to count them.

There are five Audio Tomes per ally. They all can be found in districts corresponding to them, usually close to each other. They have been marked on the map with numbers, but you can collect them in any order. They will be read from first to fifth anyway, no matter how you collect them.

In every district of the Hell you can find one chest with Blackbeard treasure. Three Glyphs protects each chest. You must first collect them all in a district and then open the chest. Each chest has few thousands of Wages. After collecting them all you will get additional tens thousands of Wages and one of the Seven Deadly Weapons - Boom Chicka.

Glyphs can be found on walls, most usually on the ground height. The game will inform you if you will be near one of them. Sometimes it is hard to see them from long distance, but they are enough big and characteristic that it is impossible to mistake them with the surrounding. You will know that Glyphs are nearby thanks to the pirate music.

Tacos Malos are restaurants that serve Taco. They are a cover for Dane's illegal business. Visit all three of them, walk to the order board and use the action button. After visiting all three of them you will be given one of the Seven Deadly Weapons - Last Supper.

Comments relates to places, where your character can say something about his surroundings. There are 40 places like that in the city, scattered through all districts. You will recognize them by the glasses floating in the air. For getting all of them you will receive a reward.

Every comment can be said two times, once by Gat and once by Kinzie. Because of that, you should change your characters from time to time, it means doubling the reward for collecting all Comments.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell requires a low-end PC. 1 GB of GPU RAM memory is a standard since a while and 10 GB of free HDD space is so little that most of players won't even notice gone missing. The processor mentioned in the minimum requirements is on the market since 2007, and the recommended one since 2011. The recommended GPUs are hardly modern as well. In other words, to fully enjoy the game you will need hardware that today can be considered as outdated. It shouldn't surprise anyone as the game was created on the same engine as Saints Row 4, which didn't have big requirements as well.

This guide has been created on a computer that met the recommended requirements, and in some aspects was even better. On high details game worked without any bigger trouble. Some smaller troubles occurred while changing powers between super-sprint and flight, especially when thanks to them character was accelerating to full speed. With often camera angle changes, the game sometimes needed a while to orient in the situation. Troubles occurred when facing a large groups of demons as well. After pressing the menu button game sometimes needed few seconds to react. When using quick travel, sometimes one could feel the lack of fluency, as if the animations lacked one or two frames.

After changing the setting to ultra speed of the game has slightly dropped, it was especially visible when opening and browsing menu. The game slowed for few seconds during returns from the menu, quick camera rotations and watching large parts of the city as well. Despite that, the speed was good enough for comfortable playing.

The game requires you to register on the Steam platform, although it is possible to play alone in offline mode. Online mode offers cooperation for two players. It can be controlled by mouse and keyboard or gamepad.
