We give you FarmVille comprehensive guide, where we describe in details some game features and secrets. In first chapters you'll find some tips for players who just started a virtual farmer's life. Subsequent chapters are meant for more advanced elements of the game.
Daniel "Thorwalian" Kazek
Just after you decide to run your virtual farm, you'll be asked to choose gender: Female or Male. Then the short tutorial will start, which is designed to introduce you to the game world and explain the basic rules of gameplay.
You start your game with small, limited plot sown with grass. In the beginning you got some plots and on two of them there are already fully grown Eggplants and Strawberries. Left click on the arrow visible on the screen and then click on your grown crops. You'll collect your first crops in FarmVille and earn first money.
In this stage you'll learn how to plow your plots. Select the hoe at the bottom of the screen and click on two fields, where you collected Eggplants and Strawberries previously.
The final stage is about planting seeds. Click the appropriate plot and the Market window will pop up, where the only choice, for now, is Soybeans. Select it and plant seeds clicking on four available plots. Now, when the tutorial is over, you are free to customize the look and feel of your farm.
Note that the Soybeans needs 1 day to be fully grown so you have to wait this amount of time to harvest it.
1) Toggle graphics quality - affects gameplay speed. Useful in later stages, when the number of objects may slow the gameplay.
2) Sounds on/off - use it when you're tired of animal bleating and cackling.
3) Music on/off.

Note: There are additional options in the interface in subsequent stages of the game.
Changing you farmer appearance is not mandatory, but for sure you want to look as good as possible. To change your look, click your avatar and then you'll be moved to customization screen. It has three tabs.
Gender - Male or Female.
Customizing your farmerFacial Features - here you can change your avatar face appearance. To do it just move the cursor on the arrow next to the tab and you'll get following options: face (shape), hair, eyebrows, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, skin (color), facial hair (i.e. moustaches, beard) or makeup. In some options the choice is so wide that you have to use Next/Previous page arrows.
Clothing - here you can choose your avatar clothes. He can wear: shirts, bottoms, outfits, shoes, accessories and costumes.
In your inventory shows the clothing you currently have in your wardrobe. You can dress it up clicking Use. If you want to go back to previous outfit click Reset below your avatar picture.
Some clothes are not so cheapThe In the market option is kind of other story. These are goods from shop you can access also from the Market (Clothes tab). To see if chosen clothes fit you, click Try On. Your farmer will try them on - if you do not want to buy them simply click Take off or Reset. You can also click Buy if you sure that these clothes are perfect for your farmer. Note, however, that clothes may require both coins and rare Farm Cash money, so we suggest buying only for "normal" coins in the beginning.
The whole schema of planting and harvesting crops was presented to you in the tutorial, but you should know few more things. Let's start from the beginning: plowing the field. To do so you have to choose the hoe (Plow Tool) from the bottom of the screen first. Move it to your farm and you'll see green square looking like plot. Click to create it. Every plot costs 15 coins and provides 1 experience point.
It is best to create plots side by side to save the space. It is good to plant some seeds on just plowed field. Click it or the Market option and the shop window will pop up. There are many seeds in Seeds tab, however not all of them are available in the beginning. Most of them is unlocked along with the game progress when you'll reach proper experience levels. For example when you see Level 4 needed on some seed, it means that your farmer has to be 4th experience level to plant it.
Note also that every seed has some additional information, like its cost or how much money you can earn selling the grown up plant (Sell for). Other important factor is Harvest in - it tells you how long you should wait until the seed is mature. That depends on seed type and can take from few hours up to even few days (real time). The last info is XP Gained - it is amount of experience points gained after harvesting matured plant.
Moving the cursor over the field shows us the current phase of the cropYou can check the whole grow process by moving the cursor over the chosen plot. You will see then the percentage of crop's growth. Progress can also be seen visually - crops change over time. But remember - mature crops won't wait endlessly to be harvested. After some time they will wither and you won't be able to earn money by selling them.
When the crop is mature you can harvest it by clicking left button on proper plot. But be sure that the Multi tool is chosen and not for example the hoe. Then you will earn some money and experience points depending on the crop type. Afterwards you can plow the field with the hoe again. This costs you 15 coins, the same amount as creating the plot.
Berries wait to be harvested.
If you do not care about your crops, they can wither over time. When this happens, you have three options. You can plow the plot loosing the possibility to earn money and experience points or you can wait for friendly farmer who can revive your crops with one click when he visits your farm. We talk about neighbor farmers later in this guide.
Will this pretty boy help this pretty lady?Another way to save the plants is a special sprayer. You will find so-called Unwither in the shop in the Upgrade Farm section. It costs 30 Farm Cash (special currency). In return you can use this item three times. Every usage revives all withered crops on you farm. You can use it also on somebody else's farm.
Unwither (shop)You may wonder how long does it take for crop to wither. In fact it depends on the crop type while you have exactly half of crop's growing up time to harvest it. After this time crop starts to wither slowly.
Take strawberries, for example. They need 4 hours to be fully grown and you can leave them unattended for additional 2 hours. After 6 hours since planted, random crops start to wither. You should remember this when choosing seeds to plant when you go to sleep soon for example.
Farmer is missing so crops are withered
As for trees, this is very simple. Being in Market, choose Trees tab, buy selected tree and plant it on the farm. Same as with crops, you have to wait some time until the tree is ready to be harvested and earn money on it. You can check exact time on tree card at the market (Harvest in). When the tree is ready to be harvested you'll notice fruits on it (as you can see on the screen below). But unlike crops, fruits won't wither so you can collect them anytime you want.
Green cornerMany rare trees can be purchased only as gifts. So if you want to make a small orchard or even a forest, you should ask your farmer friends to send you some special trees. The banana tree or the date palm for sure will make your farm a little bit exotic.
This includes cows, chickens, and horses but also cats for example. To buy an animal you have to go to the Market first and select Animals tab. The choice for a beginner (which also has no Farm Cash) is limited of course, but you can ask your farmer friends for help again. You can get (and also give) really a lot of interesting animals.
You can have really extraordinary animals in FarmVille
Whether it's a chicken, a sheep, a duck or a bull, each animal brings to a profit. A sheep, for example, gives the wool, pigs search for truffles, a bull must be calmed down, and a cat needs a brush. Each of these activities provides a small income, comparable to collecting the crops or fruits. When you notice the characteristic sign over the animal head, you should take care of it. Do not worry however, the animals won't die or something like that when left unattended. It is not possible in FarmVille. You can take care of them whenever you want.
Kind of crowdedHowever, the number of animals on your farm will grow over time, limiting precious space. In this case it is best to buy some special buildings which will be not only a shelter for various species, but also provide an access to some interesting bonuses. There are few kinds of these buildings and you can even find limited types of them when special events are going on. In this guide we'll present buildings which you can find at the Market. You can buy a stable, a barn or a pigsty for example.
Horses have found a new home - a stableTo move an animal to a desired building, simply select the Move option and then click on a target structure. You can collect money from a building once a day, regardless of the number of animals inside.
Although most buildings in FarmVille are purely decorative, some of them are very useable, and some of them are even complex construction projects. The latter however will require the support of our neighbors or large stocks of Farm Cash. All building being usable are described in detail in this guide. If you want to check all buildings present in the game, you can do it in Market's Buildings tab.
Just look at this residence ...When you create complex buildings, you usually acquire only construction framework but the rest of resources, such as Wooden board or Brick, you have to collect on your own. It means in most cases "crying" for help to your friend farmers who can send building materials as gifts. Each person may have different resources but you should remember that the assortment of gifts varies cyclically. So if none of you friends does not have for example any Nail that you need, it is best to wait a little bit instead of spending Farm Cash. That's it, any material or thing required to complete the construction can also be purchased for an additional currency, Farm Cash.
Let the construction begin
There are two types of currency in FarmVille. One is normal Coins, which you can get for harvesting crops, collecting fruits or breeding animals. Your current amount of money is visible in the left upper corner. With these coins you can buy various items, seeds, animals, farm vehicles or buildings. You just have to visit the Market. These are usually items available for all farmers, for an unlimited period of time.
You'll get some gold coins from this tree in few secondsBut there are also many specific items in the game, which can be purchased only with so-called Farm Cash. This currency is represented by green banknotes (you start the game with 5 of them). To increase the amount of Farm Cash, you usually have to spend real money. By doing this you can buy a lot of unique items. And your farm will certainly stand out against others.
You have to get some neighbors first in order to buy a Dairy FarmSometimes you can buy some items from the Market spending both coins and Farm Cash. In general, however, banknotes are used mainly for purchasing some limited items which are available only for few days or weeks and then they disappear. Actually there are always some events in FarmVille (such as French week) when you can buy unique gadgets or accessories for your farm.
However, there is a way to get some Farm Cash without paying real money for it. For example, we got one banknote each time we gain a new experience level. Another method are cyclic offers, such as installing game toolbar, which will be discussed later.
25 credits equal 2.5 USDBut if you want to invest in Farm Cash your real money, click Add Farm Coins & Cash tab. Here you can buy both banknotes and coins. The sum is given in USD (no tax included). You can use also your Facebook credits during transaction. Just make sure that Zastosuj obecne saldo option is checked. You can buy your virtual currency paying with credit card or PayPal service. It is possible that this method of payment can be changed in the future or there will be additional ones.
As in many other games, you can gain experience points also in FarmVille, which results in getting new items and even unlocking previously unknown game options. You can easily locate inaccessible items at the Market - they are shown with Locked sign and experience requirement - Level Needed.
Planting this old, withered tree resulted in 50 experience pointsYou can see your current experience level in the upper part of game window. There is also a experience progress bar. When it is full, we gain a new experience level with all associated options and bonuses. In principle, almost all actions which we do in the game result in experience points. Plowing the plot, buying items at the Market, helping neighbors - there is almost no action which would not affect our experience level. The experience in the game is represented by the XP abbreviation.
Congratulations after reaching the 4th experience levelAfter reaching the next level, you get a table with information about the unlocked content. There are new seeds mostly, new items at the Market, extra gifts and sometimes new functions. Being on the fifth level, for example, you can fertilize other farmer's crops and after passing the 20th - you can play in cooperative mode. The most important options and their requirements are listed in the table below:
Level
Bonus
5
Fertilizing neighbors crops
6
Storing items in storehouse
7
Selling items (buildings, animals, and so on)
10
Crop mastering, Collections
15
The Farmer's Market option, Bushels gathering
20
Cooperative mode
This kind of items appears in sale for limited period of time and then they disappear - sometimes forever. Unique objects, with Limited prefix, typically become available within some holidays (Halloween, Easter) or other significant dates. You can find then at the Market many kinds of seeds associated with this particular event or even buildings (e.g., different types of stable), vehicles, decorations and several other more or less useful things.
The foundations of the haunted house. It will not take much time as it disappears from the offerThese items have often characteristic icon on their picture and short info about how long this item will be in for sale. After purchasing such an item, we can use it at will - it won't disappear when the offer time is over. And this kind of items is very valuable for our farm, since they probably won't return to the offer or we have to wait for the next big event to buy them. The price of limited items varies - sometimes it is just enough to spend coins but when we want to buy some really unique items we should consider spending Farm Cash. In order to buy some of them you also have to meet additional conditions, such as proper experience level.
You will find a bunch of advice here, which do not fit any other part of this guide, but can be very helpful for beginners.
After running the game take a look at the bar above the game window. If you pass all steps listed there, you'll become a dedicated Farmer. Although you get nothing for doing that, it binds you with a game even tighter. Details:
The second step will provide you with a small rewardStep 1 (Install FarmVille) - the first run of the game, you've already done this
Step 2 (Get timely updates) - sign in to the newsletter so you'll be informed about important news through your mail (you'll get reward gift for this).
Step 3 (Find your way back) - add the FarmVille to your browser Favorites
Step 4 (Get exclusive offers) - become FarmVille fan
Step 5 (Publish faster) - you agree to get game news directly to your Facebook board
Farm Cash is a special currency which you get in most cases in exchange for real money (optional), so any free form of getting Farm Cash banknotes is very tempting. We will talk about finance in FarmVille later, but if you are interested in getting free 10 FC (Farm Cash), please take a closer look at official FarmVille toolbar for your browser.
Sometimes you can see such an offer instead of a normal loading screenSometimes you can see this advertisement screen when the game is loading, but you can also install the plug-in by yourself. Just go to the FarmVille main page (http://www.farmville.com/) and locate a Game Bar link on the left site (you have to be logged in in order to do that). Follow instructions and 10 Farm Cash will be added to your gifts next time you visit your farm.
The game has noticed poor guy and rewarded him with moneyCoins are the second, more common game currency. Of course, at the beginning, you're not Richie Rich and have to be very careful when it comes to finances. But despite that, if you're just starting virtual farmer's life, you can go on a shopping spree. This is because when you spend almost all money, the game will give you another 300 coins for free. Obviously, it works only once.
From now on all actions will be done with telepathy ...This advice seems to be applied to more advanced farms, but it is also very useful for people who value their time. In order to milk a cow or plow the plot, our avatar has to go to the desired place first, what takes some time. But if you want to act faster you have to lock it in the starting position. The most popular items for doing that are Hay Bales from Decorations section at the Market. They are cheap and you need just 4 of them to lock your avatar. This ensures that every action will be taken immediately.
Like other social networking games also FarmVille put great emphasis on relations with other players. Of course you can play alone but having neighbors who are your friends, gameplay will become more lively and we will get some really useful improvements.
Game invitationLet's start with invitations. To suggest someone starting a farmer's life, you can use Invite Friends option. You can find it above main game screen. There is a list of your friends plus a possibility of sending an invitation to join the game. You can also send an email about the game to the person who has no Facebook account. You just have to write down an email address.
Another method is to use My Neighbors tab (also at the top of the screen). You can check there the current status of your neighbors and you can find there your friends who also play FarmVille but are not your game neighbors. To change it and send an invitation, just click Invite as friend. You can also go to the gift screen (Free Gifts) and use this method to show the game to someone.
Note: Although your invitation is accepted, that person not always appears in your neighbors list at once. Sometimes the whole process takes up to few days so you have to be patient.
Having friendly farmers, apart from purely social network aspects (Look how cool my farm is!), can also unlock a lot of valuable items or functions. Some items in the shop can be purchased only if you have certain number of neighbors. One such example is a barn or an option to extend our farm.
Friendly farmers' avatarsThanks to friends in FarmVille we can unlock also many other interesting game features. After gaining the appropriate experience level for example you will be able to exchange crops, trade on marketplace or play in cooperative mode. That kind of information will be presented later in this guide.
Normal, neighborly help has a great importance during the gameplay. You can see your neighbors at the bottom of game window. After clicking the image of any of them, you will get a menu with an option to visit his/her farm. When you are there you are able to perform some minor actions which increase you experience and help your friend of course. You can do it once a day.
Someone had no time to care for the poor kittens. Fortunately, you can always do this for him.Among the actions that can be done on a neighbor farm you can find harvesting fruits, plowing plots, fertilizing and even milking cows. When the farm owner is back he/she can decide whether to accept such assistance by clicking your avatar. Money for the work will go to you both. You can also visit a neighbor's hen house (if he has one) and feed chicken - there is a chance of finding some mysterious egg (see the chapter on breeding chicken).
Having neighbors has one more crucial advantage. If they find or do something spectacular, make some investment or get a reward, they can put info about it on Facebook board. When you see such a message you also want to do something cool. And there is always such an option in the bottom right side of entry. Of course this works both ways so whenever the opportunity arises, share your achievements with others using Share option (pops up almost everywhere).
To get a free bouquet just click "Get a Flower Bouquet".
Giving gifts in FarmVille is one of the key elements of having fun during gameplay. You can even say that items acquired this way are the essence of your farm while in most cases you can't get them any other way. It is also the best method for a beginners to own a small chicken hen house or a fence, without spending any money on it.
Before choosing a gift it is good to contact with a friend or trace his entries. He may need something specific. To send a gift to a friend simply click his portrait on the neighbors bar and choose the Send gift to option. You can also go to the Free Gifts bookmark in left upper corner of the game screen. The gift screen will pop up then. Notice that not all of them can be selected. Some are locked because of your experience level or there must be some extra conditions fulfilled. A number of gifts can also be unlocked by connecting to the official game site - http://www.farmville.com/ - though even then you have to be logged in to you Facebook account.
Take a closer look at items in colored borders and marked with captions. These items are for sure not only decorative. For example Nursery means that this item is needed to build a nursery for foals or calves. Collectible means item which is part of some collection (can't be used in the farm) and those with helmet picture on them are construction materials useful for all sorts of buildings.
Maybe it is time to repay? The gifts range changes regularly every few days, so if one of your friends needs some boards do not postpone sending them. After selecting a gift you have to choose a person(s) who will receive it and accept sending. When you get a gift, first you have to accept it, of course if you're interested in it. There will be a note about this in the game, by mail or on Facebook board. If you accept a gift (Accept Now), you can give a gift in return (Send a thank you gift) or check other gifts you may have (click Yes below Do you have more pending gifts do accept?).
Officially you may send a gift to particular person only once a day, but in fact this possibility arises every few hours.
This is one of the specific gifts, available for early-stage virtual farmer. In fact, no one knows what Mystery Gift contains but it's very likely that there is a truly unique item inside. To unpack the surprise just go to your Gift Storage and click Use. Colorful lights will appear around you and then the information about the reward will pop up. This may be a special tree, extra experience points, unique decorations - there are plenty of possibilities.
These sparkles announce that something special is coming
Actually, at any time you can get an information about some sad, stray pet which wanders on your farm. Unfortunately you can't adopt it but you can help to find a new home for it. You just have to post a message about a lost animal on you Facebook board, so your friends can see it. A first person who decide to adopt an animal will gain a new, loyal pet on his farm. If you want to adopt some stray, just browse your friends' messages.
With clicking "Adopt the Duckling", a duck will appear on our farmLost animals have a unique feature - they can't be bought or sent as a gift to somebody, so it is good to have them on your farm. You can find e.g. exotic lamas, strawberry cows, party ducks or black pigs. Species are really extraordinary though only in terms of appearance. Black cow gives a milk like regular one, but this is chocolate milk.
A quick riddle: what connects the previous screen with The Ugly Duckling fairy tale?
You got basic information about crops planting and harvesting in one of the first chapters of this guide. Here you will find an overview of seeds in terms of their requirements, price, experience points or profitability.
Note: the overview contains only plants which were available at the time of writing this guide. There might be more of them while the game still evolves. Also we do not mention special seeds which are available only for a limited period of time.
Everything grows perfectlyIn two tables below you will find 10 seeds with highest profit or experience points you get for planting them. With the first table we took into account all expenses related to planting the seed (also plowing the field), and then we calculated an appropriate average. This number means how many coins you can earn on a given crop per one hour. Not always the crop with high return rate gives you a highest profit. Time of growing is also a very important factor and we took this into account too.
The same situation is with the second table. In this case we took seeds with highest experience points you can get for planting them. And the average number in the last column concerns one day and not one hour like in the first table.

Note that some of seeds are available only after special condition in cultivating other plants (Mastery) is fulfilled. If you see Crops Mastered sign, click below on More Info. This way you can find out which crop or flower cultivation you must master, to be able to plant it.

After the 10th experience level you get a possibility to specialize in planting some seeds. You can check the level of your mastery (Crop Mastery) directly at the Market. There is a field with 3 stars below each crop image.
Daffodils and Cotton mastered on 1st levelTo get a star you have to harvest a certain number of crops. This number depends on crop's type. For example you need to harvest only 200 cabbages to get a first star, while in case of raspberries it needs 1500 crops to be harvested. To get next star you have to work harder and get much more crops of course. To see how many crops you've already collected, move your mouse cursor over a progress bar at the desired seed.
After reaching each mastery level you can gain additional experience and a bag of coins. Neighbor farmers can also get small reward if you put your achievement on Facebook board. After completing the third level you become a specialist in particular seed, which results in special sign with the seed image on it (you can put it on the farm and be proud of it). You can also get a chance to grow a seed on premium rules. Matured crops are then bigger (like after being fertilized) and generate more experience points. But it doesn't happen always and you have to be very lucky in order to get premium crops.

Storages in FarmVille play a essential role in later stages, when we own so many items that there is no place to keep them on the farm. So instead of selling them for very little money you can store them easily. Barns are best buildings for that but other constructions also can make a trick, even small tool sheds. The whole list of storages can be accessed at the Market, in the Building/Storage bookmark.
Barns are very common buildings to store thingsTo move the selected item to the storage, click it, choose the Move option and then click on the target building. Items are not stored in any particular storage building. Each of them offers a certain number of storage slots and the game sums them all and gives you the total number. So just choose any storage building, click Look Inside and you can access all stored goods (Inventory).
We may need them someday ...An interesting fact is, that the place, where your gifts go, can be also treated as a storage. Free of charge in addition. So if you got a gift which is useless in this moment and you have no more place on your farm, just leave it in the Gift area. Do not click Use while you can't revert this action.
One of the options visible when you click the storage building is Expand Storage. It allows you to expand you storage (regardless of its type) adding initially 5 more and then 7 more slots. There can be 500 storage slots in total on your farm, but this number can be changed in the future. Game developers systematically increase storage limit - it was 100 slots in the beginning, then they have changed it to 200 and now up to 500 slots. If we reach current limit, any subsequent storage buildings will be only decorative.
Now just wait for a responseLet's back to building expansion. Every time we want to do this, we follow the same pattern. Clicking on a building shows two options: Expand and Buy. Selecting the first one involves our friends in whole operation. The information about trying to expand a building is posted on a Facebook board. Then we got exactly 3 days to gather 10 support votes. Our friends can support our decision by clicking Click here to help under the message. One person can vote only once a day. You can monitor the progress in the expansion preview tab (Expand Storage).
If you are short of few votes, you can always buy the rest with Farm Cash. One vote costs one banknote, which means that by choosing Buy option immediately you'll spend 10 FC to expand the building.
The same pattern works for expanding Chicken Coop and Dairy Barn.
Another method to store your unnecessary stuff on the farm is to dig a hole in the ground. Of course, it is small in the beginning, so you can't store many things, but with time and help of your friends you can make quite cozy cellar with lot of space. If you extend the Storage Cellar to its limits, you can store up to to 500 items there.
Every cellar starts as a hole in the groundYou can start building your underground storage when you've reached 16th experience level. Then you can spend small amount of money and buy a little hole from the Market (Buildings/Storage bookmark), where you can store 2 items. To make it bigger you have to ask your neighbors for a help. Just suggest them shovels as a gift you would like to receive. When you get it, your hole will be extended with two additional slots.
Two shovelsYou can also get some unique items thanks to expansion of your cellar. Collecting 60 shovels for example will result with Miner Sheep, and having 200 of them will get you Antique Tractor. So if you decide to exchange your shovels for one of the rewards and you put an information about it on you Facebook board, one of your friends will be able to get the same reward for free. The simple conclusion is: check similar announcements on your friends' boards.
Here you can see what is hidden underground
Apparently chicken breeding is no different than caring for other animals, but it can be very surprising though, offering a lot of bonuses. You can get chickens mainly in the form of gifts and already in the game beginning, so their breeding is very common. Chickens lay eggs on your farm from time to time, which can be collected but as a professional farmer you should think about investing in a chicken coop.
Unprofessional chicken breeding won't get you farYou can buy the Chicken Coop at the Market (Buildings bookmark) for some coins. Then you have to move your chickens there by selecting the Move option and then clicking the coop. There is a place for 20 chickens of different colors by default in the chicken coop. The most common are white chickens, but you can also come across other varieties which you can win, buy for Farm Cash or with help from your friends (not as gifts). These types of chicken are mostly hatched from our friends' Mystery Eggs.
Let's make some eggsChickens in Chicken Coop lay eggs once a day but apart from the prize money for it you can sometimes come across something special. The chance of finding so-called Mystery Egg increases with the number of chickens in the chicken coop.
5th level chicken is bornThe color of Mystery Eggs is connected with chicken species you have, which mean that if you have only white chickens you'll get only white Mystery Eggs. So to have for example brown Mystery Egg you have to own at least one chicken in this color. Of course more chicken in particular color you have, the greater is the chance to have the Mystery Egg in the same color. Mystery Eggs are not very common so it may take several days until you find an unique gift in your chicken coop.
It is not hard to figure out that more rare the egg is, the more valuable is the reward. By finding only white mystery eggs, you can get only some small bonuses like experience points or coins, but having black eggs or Scottish ones, will provide you with really unique items or even buildings. If you're lucky and find a Mystery Egg, do inform your friends immediately. They will try to get the same egg for sure. If you will get a Mystery Egg as a gift, go to your gifts and open it.
You can also get a Mystery Egg while visiting you neighbors' farms. If you friend farmer has a chicken coop, you will have an option to feed his chickens (on the left side), besides helping him in the farm. Just click then Feed icon or the chicken coop. After leaving the grain, wait a little and then the game will tell you whether you're lucky or not. If your neighbor is a quite advanced farmer, he probably has different varieties of chickens, so the chance of collecting a unique egg is very big in this case.
Do good deeds and you'll be rewarded
A stable is a place where your horses will find some delicious hay. There are many horses - starting with most common, draft ones and ending with beautiful ponies. Unfortunately construction of this building will take some time, while besides investing several thousand coins into the frame, you must collect also:
A black sheep looks with envy at the stables. There is no building for it in FarmVille.
As was explained at the beginning of this guide, you can get these resources from your friends as gifts. You can also buy them one by one spending Farm Cash (or all at once). Every single item costs 1 banknote however so you would need 50 FC to buy them all.
What tricks has the stallion up its sleeve?Like with many other buildings, we can visit our stable every day and collect money from breeding horses. If you however want to receive special bonus, you have to look for a Wandering Stallion. It is one of animals that can be adopted, so if it is lost on one of the neighborly farms, you'll get such information.
The stallion stays only for one night but it might be enough for it to become a father of a young foal (if you have any horses in the stable). The appearance of the young horse depends on horse species you held inside the stable. If you do not get a foal, you'll receive another random reward, which can be additional coins for example.
Inside the stableYou can expand your stable with additional slots. At the start you can store 20 horses inside the stable, while the maximum number is 40. If you want to check which materials or items you need to expand the stable, just click it. With each investment the number of available slots is increased by 5.
A barn is a building when you can breed cows, both normal and special ones, pink for example, which can provide strawberry milk. A barn is not built, so you can own it very quickly, as long as you have enough friends. You need at least 8 friendly farmers to unlock this building at the Market and also 10,000 coins to buy it. The other possibility is Farm Cash.
It is maybe hard to imagine, but there are 20 cows insideThe basic Dairy Barn provides space for 20 cows, though one slot should be left for a Bull. To get one you should monitor your friends' entries on Facebook board very carefully, because a bull is also an animal which can be adopted. If you see such an info you can adopt a bull and it will stay with you permanently.
If you already have a barn, move the bull inside it. The bull will be in seventh heaven seeing a cows herd and it is possible that one day you'll discover a little calf inside a barn. Share good news with other players, and one of them will get a similar surprise. The appearance of the calf depends on the cows' species inside the barn.
Even bulls smile in the FarmVille
You can extend your barn twice, up to 30 and then up to 40 slots. Each time you will need 10 support votes from your friends, exactly the same way as with storage buildings or chicken coop. You can find details of this operation in storage section of this guide.
Here you can find all calves from the Dairy Barn and all foals from the Stable. They play together and by checking them daily you can find out that one of them has just reached adulthood. This building requires following recourses (you can get them from your friends or buy with Farm Cash):
Cozy home of our little onesIf you do not have the Nursery Barn you can put calves and foals anywhere on your farm Although they will never grow up in this case but at least they will generate some money.
There will be beautiful horses out of these foals one dayThis building can be of course extended with some additional slots for your cubs. Just click the Nursery Barn and select the Expand option. As you can notice, expanding the building requires the same number of resources as basic construction. The Nursery Barn has 20 slots at the beginning, which can be expanded first up to 30, and then up to 40.
This function allows you to create many kinds of articles on your own, like perfumed candles, sake or delicious cakes. It is available on the 25th experience level. After you reach it, you can choose one of the three buildings: Bakery, Winery or Spa, and buy it for 100,000 coins. Think carefully, while only one of them can be bought for regular coins. During the next visit at the Market, you can notice that other two buildings cost ... 80 Farm Cash each.
1st level bakeryAs for the interface, it doesn't matter which building you buy. It is the same in case of all of them, they just differ visually. After your first visit in new building, the game offers you a short tutorial explaining the rules. Thanks to this you are able to create your first product.
Inside the buildingTo try out the Crafting, first of all you have to own the right type and amount of bushels as indicated in the recipe (you will learn how to get them in the chapter on goods exchange). On the left side of basket image you can see two numbers. The first one indicates how many bushels you own, and the other means how many of them are needed to prepare a product.
You can always count on your friendsIf you do not have enough bushels, click the Get Bushels, and you'll be moved to the screen where you can look at friendly farmers' offers. Once a day you can Get from the same farmer up to three bushels, but if none of them has desired crops, consider using Ask option. By doing this you may suggest your friends to plant a particular crop which may result in bushels you need. You may also notice Start bushel co-op job and Buy all ingredients bars. By clicking the first one you'll be moved to the cooperative mode, where you can work together with your friend looking for bushels. The second one is of course connected with buying all missing ingredients using Farm Cash.
Finally, when you have all needed ingredients, click the Make It which begins crafting. To have it done you need 6 real hours and you can check the progress of crafting by moving mouse cursor over the slot visible on the left side.
Waiting, waiting and waiting ...After the crafting is done, you have to click Finish It in order to use the product you've just created. Then it is moved to the Use Goods bookmark. Depending on the product quality (its level, we'll move to this subject a little bit later) clicking Use results in some amount of fuel. For now it is the only reward for using crafted goods, but in the future there might be some other features connected with this.
Exchange for a fuelYour neighbors can also benefit from your crafting. Farmers who click Get Goods will get an access to copies of your products. If someone of them decides to buy it, the greater part of money will increase your account (no one knows where the rest goes). You will be informed about that next time you visit FarmVille, by an email or via Facebook board.
These are the common rules for Bakery, Winery and Spa.
Someone just bought you goodsFinally, a general notice. While crafting, the game will propose to share your accomplishments with your friends (typical Share) very often. If you feel such a need, do not hesitate to do this, while people who read your entries typically will have an opportunity to gather some bonuses too.
Some of the recipes are blocked at the beginning or you can't even see them at all (you must click an arrow at the bottom of the building). You got only three recipes to you disposal at the beginning and to get more of them you have to upgrade your building.
Long way awaits usTake a look at the stars bar at the bottom of the screen. Your building can be advanced up to 5th level, but this is very time-consuming. Unless you have some money to spend. To do so, just click Buy Upgrade and you building reaches next level. There is a table below, where you can check how much Farm Cash you need to upgrade your bakery, winery or spa to the next level.

If you, however, prefer not to spend money, you have to slowly upgrade your recipes. You do this not only by crafting products, but also by selling them. Every recipe upgraded this way takes you closer to a bigger and better looking building. In the table below you can check how many upgrades you have to complete, to take your building to the next level. As you see, this action requires also coins to be spent but this is far better than spending Farm Cash. All data is the same for bakery, winery and spa.

You know already what recipes upgrading is for and how to do it. The modified recipe doesn't mean that you have to collect other ingredients or change their amount - that's always the same. Upgraded recipes influence not only our building, but also the end product price.
Better baked cookies or better looking cocktails are always of value. You can find it out by yourself when you'll see such goods. Using items with higher level results in more fuel, what of course can compensate your expenses.
The better and more expensive product is, the more fuel it providesThere is however one more thing connected to recipes. You can be a master in particular recipe. It resembles very much Crop Mastery option, but this time we have to pass 5 levels instead of 3. After reaching a new level we're rewarded with one star, some coins and a little bit of experience. It also happens at the beginning, that we are rewarded with special sign, which tells that we are on our way to master a recipe. It can be put on our farm.
The strawberry cake masterThis task is not easy though, while it requires hard work and long-lasting recipe leveling. You can find details in the table below. As you can see, all depends on building level (left column). If you have for example 2nd level building, you need to upgrade your recipe to 23rd level to get a Mastery star. The whole challenge is about to get your recipe up to 100 level.

A beehive in FarmVille is quite interesting diversion when you're weary of daily activities. However it is very time consuming, while you need to pass few stages in order to create a really cool beehive. But in the same time, it is also interesting to do this.
We start at the Market, as always. The base for our beehive doesn't cost much - only 5,000 coins and is available also for beginners. After buying the base, you will find out that you have to collect many additional resources, such as:
Same as in the case of stables for example, each of above items can be sent as a gift. There are always two of them available (look for a Beehive signature) and they are periodically changed (every few days). So if you need a wax for example, and none of your neighbors has it, do not worry. When gifts are reset, there is a chance for wax to appear there.
Modest beginningOf course if you are in a hurry, you can buy all materials with Farm Cash. Each item costs 1 banknote, so it is not hard to calculate, that you would need 50 FC to buy all of them.
Placing a beehive on your farm doesn't mean that bees will come and start work on honey. You have to take care of the swarm, but your first task is to bring a Queen Bee to the hive. Without it bee workers won't even bother to visit your farm.
A bee queen somewhere amid flowersThere are several methods of getting the queen. The simple one is to go to the Market and spend 10 banknotes. This solution, however, is quite expensive, but fortunately you can also get Queen Bee for free. The queen can be encountered while collecting flowers both on your farm and on neighbors' farms. But finding a queen this way is very unlikely, so it is good to check a Facebook board from time to time. If any of your friends finds a queen and he already got one, he'd likely share it with you.
You can always buy a queenIf you already have a Queen Bee in your hive, it is time to start gathering bees. Of course, as always, you can buy them with Farm Cash or ask your friends for a bee gift. The appearance of your Beehive depends on the bee number you own. You can have up to 200 bee workers and more bees you have, more money you can collect during your daily visit in the Beehive.
A fully functional beehiveBut you have to be careful, while bees can leave you if you do not visit your farm for too long. The swarm has to work and make honey, so if there are no crops on your farm, bees will fly away. Do not be surprise if, after several days of absence, you will have some bees less. It is also quite possible, that if you're very lazy, even the queen can leave your farm...
A bee "blessing" on your cropsCollecting a honey is not the only advantage of a beehive. The more bees you have, the grater chances that fertilized (only these) crops will be pollinated. Then you can expect special seeds of that crop. They will be on your disposal for two days and you can find them at the Market, searching for special bee icon on seed card. That kind of crops lasts longer and you have a bigger chance to gather bushels.
This is another building, where you can move a specific breed of your pets to. These are pigs of course, while Pig Pen it's nothing else like typical pigsty. You can buy it when you reach the 16th experience level. It can be found at the Market - construction framework costs 5,000 coins. You must built the rest on your own, and you need the following materials:
The pig pen is quite inconspicuous from the outsideAs you can see the number of required materials is less than for the other structures, such as stable. And as always you can get them from your friends as gifts or just buy them with Farm Cash.
You can breed all pig kinds in your pigpen, even strawberry or party pigs. There is a place for 20 of them inside and you have to feed them good before they start searching for precious truffles.
Pigs love mudIn the lower left corner of your pigpen you can see a Slop amount. Pigs love to eat it but at the beginning you do not have anything for them. This can be changed very quickly though. Just click Make Slop, which will take you to the bushels screen. They are just perfect for breeding animals but you should take those least useful or those which you have many. You can create up to 10 slop portions.
You can make slop even out of the pineapplesWhen you have enough slop (one portion for one pig), you can send your pigs to play in the mud. Click desired pig and select Hunt option. One moment later you will be informed if they found anything. If so, the truffles will subsidize ... your neighbor's account while your pigs hunt on foreign farms. Now you have to count on your friend's good will and wait for a gift.
Playing in the mudAfter the search is over (whether successful or not), your pigs will go back to the pigpen. They have to rest before next search and if you want to check when they are ready, just click the curtain (on the left).
Generally, you may come across four types of truffles - brown (most common), black, white and gold (rare). The truffles' color depends primarily on pig species which you have in your pigpen. Every truffle can be exchanged for a reward. That can be another piglet, fuel or coins.
What a truffle! If you want to remove a pig out of your pigpen, just click Remove Pig. The same option is available when you click the curtain.
Here you will find descriptions of some objects or services, which were not mentioned anywhere else in this guide. I described only things added to the Market permanently. For obvious reasons limited objects or items added because of some event, are missing here.
ArboristsArborists (Trees bookmark) - thanks to arborists you can collect all fruits from trees on your farm with only one click. You can find the Arborists also in the Stable or opening the Mystery Egg or Mystery Gift. It costs 5 Farm Cash at the Market.
Farmhands (Animals bookmark) - the service is similar to the Arborists, but works with all animals on your farm. Using Farmhands you can milk a cow, collect truffles or brush a cat - all actions at once with one click. It is very helpful but remember that it doesn't affect buildings. You can find it also in the Stable or by opening the Mystery Egg or Mystery Gift. It costs 5 Farm Cash at the Market.
You'll probably be able to paint other buildings in the futurePaint (Buildings - For Animals bookmark) - paint cans in FarmVille can be used for repainting your stable. You have 5 colors to choose from: White, Green, Blue, Pink and Red. One can costs 5 Farm Cash at the Market.
Villa (Buildings - Homes bookmark) - despite its cost (1,000,000 coins) it is worth to be bought since it provides an additional 10,000 experience points, allowing you to immediately jump on the next level.
Mystery Game (Decorations - Other bookmark) - a game for wealthy players who own lots of Farm Cash. You can win here unique animals and additions to your farm (e.g. white owl, a mini stallion, a western saloon). To do this you just have to buy a ticket for 16 Farm Cash and then hit a selected balloon with a dart. The prize is guaranteed. Mystery Game is usually reset every week and then a new item set appears (there are always 5 items to win).
You can't lose in this gameFireworks (Decorations - Other bookmark) - if you feel like having some celebration, you can buy all sorts of fireworks in FarmVille. These are disposable items. After setting them off, they disappear. They costs 3 Farm Cash at the Market.
Fertilize All (Upgrade Farm bookmark) - a special fertilizer, which can be found also in the Beehive full of bees (200 units). It fertilizes all fields on your farm. It costs 7 Farm Cash at the Market.
Land (Upgrade Farm bookmark) - if you get bored with current landscape, you can change you farm background spending only 1,000 coins. You can choose Tuscan Green, Fall Foliage, Desert Plains, Beach or Snow Blanket. You return to the default background by choosing Green Pastures. The list of Lands may change depending on current season.
The lawn imported directly from Tuscan
Once you have the opportunity to plant first flowers (such as lilacs on the fourth level), each time you pick them you have a chance to get a Perfect Bunch. You can then give this bouquet away to your friends, informing about it on Facebook board or place it on your farm as a decoration if you're the lucky owner.
A beautiful bouquetThe perfect bunches can be placed on your farm, where they will last for 14 days. This limit doesn't apply when we store bunches in a Garden Shed or in the gift box (we can get them also as gifts). The perfect bunch can be found while harvesting both normal and limited edition flowers.
Withered lilacsAs mentioned above, you can store Perfect Bunches in a special building, called Garden Shed. You can buy this building at the Market (Buildings / Others bookmark), but it is not cheap. You have to spend either 30,000 coins or 30 Farm Cash. However, you have to have at least 10 neighbors to buy it with coins. After purchasing the Garden Shed, you receive 10 free bunches of flowers for a good start.
A flower cornerAll collected Perfect Bunches are stored in the Garden Shed (they won't become droopy). Once you've look inside you can choose two options: Use, which allows you to place your flowers on the farm and Share, which posts the bunch on Facebook board for you neighbors. You can store up to 100 bunches in the Garden Shed.
This feature becomes available at 15th experience level. Despite its name, it is not about trading, but more about exchanging goods. You do not spend your money here and you can only make a profit with Farmer's Market.
It's not easy to buy a second Market StallOnce you have reached the required level, you can find a Market Stall at the Market (Buildings / Crafting bookmark) at a cost of 50,000 coins or 20 Farm Cash. If you buy it, you will be able to gather fruits, vegetables and others into the Bushels. The Bushels appear randomly while harvesting and are available for any non-Limited Edition crops.
There are few benefits of having the Bushels. First of all, you gain an additional Mastery Point while harvesting (you must harvest the same crops as in the Bushel). This brings you much closer to the next level in crop mastering. You can read more about Crop Mastery in another part of this guide. To get such a bonus, first you have to "activate" the bushels however.
Checking bushelsTo do this, go to the market panel by clicking Look Inside on the Market Stall. You can find all your bushels in Use Bushels bookmark. After selecting the desired bushel and clicking Use, you will have 2 hours during which harvesting this crop will generate an additional mastery point. It is not long, so it's best to wait until crops are fully grown and then "activate" the bushel. If the crop is fully mastered, you'll receive additional XP.
Eggplant boost activatedBut this is only one benefit of using Farmer's Market. As a social game, FarmVille also involves your neighbors to play a little bit with you Market Stall. Every time you find a bushel, it is automatically moved to the Market Stall. If someone is visiting your farm, he (or she) can check then the Stall and take some bushels. But this doesn't mean that you lose them. It is more like a free copy of your bushels for the neighbors. And in addition you will be rewarded, with a choice of coins, fuel or XP.
We have raspberry bushels todayIt is quite possible, that you will also run out of the bushels. Do not hesitate then and pay your friendly farmers a visit by clicking Get Bushels. You can purchase up to three bushels from every neighbor (and of course he won't lose it) once a day. What's more if your level is not high enough to use that seed, you'll get a 2 hours license to plant this crop.
You can get bushels from your friendsYou should also keep in mind other things. After the bushel end up at the Market Stall, it is available for your friends for next 24 hours. However this time is extended for an additional 8 hours per every Mastery level you have. So if we got 2 Mastery stars with artichokes for example, the crops last at the Market Stall for 40 hours. The Mastery level has also a big influence on number of bushels you can find, while every Mastery star adds one more bushel. You can also have more than one Market Stall (5 maximum), but purchasing another one depends on how many neighbors you have or needs Farm Cash.
The capacity of your Market Stall also plays a significant role. If you've just reached its limit (100 slots at the time of writing this guide) and you want to get rid of some bushels, you can use Share option (Use Bushels bookmark). The selected bushels will be given to your neighbors.
Sample board messageIf your level is not high enough to manage bushels, but you see that someone offers them, show interest in it anyway. You won't get any bushels, but you'll be rewarded with experience points to cheer you up.
The Farmer's Market can be also used for managing your goods which are made in special buildings (bakery, winery, spa). With the Get Goods bookmark you can purchase your friends' products, and with Use Goods bookmark you can access yours. For more information on goods see the chapter on crafting items.
Vehicles in FarmVille were created for tired farmers to aid them while they work on the farm. You got more animals to care for over time, but also new crops to harvest and new tasks, so vehicles are just perfect help for such activities.
Everyone can find something useful hereYou can find all available vehicles at the Market's Vehicles bookmark. A Tractor (or the Pink Tractor) is a basic vehicle, which almost every farmer can buy. You can afford also a Harvester or a Seeder. A tractor plows land, a harvester collects fully grown crops and a seeder plants seeds. A tractor costs 5,000 coins, so that's not so bad, but other two costs 30,000 each. You should also have the proper experience level, that is 12 to buy a tractor, 13 to buy a harvester and 14 to buy a seeder. All these vehicles can be upgraded in a garage, but we'll talk about this later.
All basic vehicles on your farmYour newly purchased vehicle can be parked anywhere on your farm. To send it to work, just click the proper icon in Plow tool menu. Each vehicle, regardless of its type, can help you to plow/seed/harvest a 2x2 area, which greatly speed up the work. So now you can have 4 fields done with only one click. Just watch the tractor, while it makes new fields besides only plowing them, so some may need manual plowing.
Life's easierWhen using a tractor, you can sometimes find coins popping up from the ground (they go directly to your account). You can also come across oil from time to time, but it doesn't mean that your farm becomes Kuwait. Oil provides only additional fuel for your vehicles.
Fuel
To have you vehicles fully operative, you need some fuel. With purchasing your first vehicle, you get a possibility to store fuel in your farm's supply tank (you should see the suitable icon in the bottom left side of the game screen). A fuel tank is represented as the orange bar along side of the fuel icon and additional fuel tanks are shown as number in the green area at the bottom of this icon. One fuel tank can contain up to 150 units and to see its details just move you cursor over the fuel bar. One unit is used for one plot on your farm, and all vehicles use the same fuel tank.
Fuel barBut as you know for sure, fuel has to be replenished somehow. First method is to buy it, but you can do this only with Farm Cash and the cheapest fuel tank costs 3 banknotes. So as you can see it is better to use some alternative, cheap methods. First of all, you can do ... nothing. It regenerates slowly, and the rate is determined by number of plots of land you have.
Fuel found during plowingThe other way is to exchange your crafted goods (e.g. cakes, wines, perfumes) for fuel. You can read about this in another part of this guide.
Exchanging bread for fuelDo not hesitate also to visit your neighbors, while fertilizing their crops may result in finding additional fuel. Fuel can be found also in Mystery Gifts, Mystery Boxes or even in Mystery Eggs. Sometimes it is good to take a look at Facebook board, while your friends may be so generous and share a fuel with you. There are many ways to get fuel for free and to save your Farm Cash for other things.
Starting with the on 22nd experience level you can buy the Garage. This storage building not only allows you to store up to 20 farm vehicles, but also to upgrade them by installing Vehicle Parts. To purchase the Garage you have to own 50,000 for buying a base construction and some additional materials:
Same as with other buildings, these materials can be gifted by your neighbors. You only just have to click Share to inform them about your construction plans. Another method, as always, is to buy materials for Farm Cash banknotes.
Vehicle partsAll your vehicles (except the Biplane) can be moved to the completed Garage, and from now on you can upgrade them. These upgrades allow your vehicles to work on bigger area. For example, the standard tractor, harvester or seeder works on 2x2 - 4 fields, but with the upgrades it can be changed up to 4x4 - which means they plow, seed or harvest 16 plots with one click. As mentioned before, you need Vehicle Parts to upgrade your vehicles.
There are two methods to get these parts. First of all, as always, you can ask your friends to send you some as gifts. You can do this by clicking Ask for parts being in the garage. But you can also click Buy parts and spend some Farm Cash, when you are so impatient.
Upgrading a vehicleYou can upgrade your vehicle up to 5th level. The table below lists how many vehicle parts you need to upgrade a vehicle to next level and how big area will be influenced after this operation. Starting from 3rd level you can own the Hot Rod vehicles, which we'll describe little bit later. You have to be on 26th experience level to upgrade your vehicles higher than 2nd level.

This is a multifunctional vehicle acting as all-in-one Harvester, Tractor, and Seeder. But of course it is not easy to get one. First of all, you have to be on 31st experience level. Then you have to spend 500,000 coins to buy a chassis and then you need 40 Vehicle Parts to have fully functional vehicle.

Hot Rod type vehicles were at start connected with other Zynga game, Mafia Wars. But due to high demand, they became permanent and now are available at the Market. These vehicles can plow, seed and harvest an area up to 3x3 plots, so significant bigger as standard ones.
These vehicles can be purchased only for Farm Cash, and they cost 55 banknotes each. You have to be on 12th experience level to buy a Hot Rod Tractor, Hot Rod Harvester is unlocked on 13th and Hot Rod Seeder - 14th.
Hot Rod vehicles vs. normal onesThere is also a Hot Rod Combine at the Market (12th experience level, 110 Farm Cash), which also plows, seeds and harvest 3x3 area right from the start. Unlike a normal Combine though, you do not have to build it - it is ready to use right after purchasing. You can upgrade it in the garage to 4th and then 5th level, which needs 30 and 45 Vehicle Parts accordingly.
Rather unconventional tractor only available to persons who have completed the A Very Berry Field Trip co-op task. It acts as a normal tractor but it can plow an area of 3x3 plots at once. It can be upgraded in the garage same way as other vehicles.
A small plane which can be either purchased from the Market for 30,000 coins or won as a prize in Peanut Butter Jelly co-op task. A one flight over your farm makes all crops to be fully grown right away. The first usage is free and after that the tool costs Farm Cash, which amount depends on the number of plots you have and how long the crops has to grow.
You have to be on 12th experience level to buy a Biplane.
Biplane ready to action
In this mode we can try to complete some given tasks, working along with our friends. A 20th level is needed to access this option and the co-op menu is located in the bottom right corner of the game screen, replacing the delete tool (it is moved to multi-tool menu).
Co-op jobs selection windowYou can see all available jobs in Co-Op Farming window, in the Jobs bookmark. You can limit this list and see only Basic jobs or jobs connected with Crafting. The second one though will be filled with jobs only when you have any of crafting buildings, e.g. bakery, winery or spa. The number of jobs here depends on buildings level and number of known recipes. You can read about these buildings in other part of this guide.
All jobs are based on collecting some particular crops. To see what you have to do in selected job, just click Start next to it. The new window will pop up, where you can find more details about the job.
A Biplane as a main rewardThe type and the number of needed crops can be seen in the middle, while on the right side you can check how much time you have to do the job. Notice, that each job can be done in three time spans, and each of them rewards you with a different medal (gold, silver and bronze). As a prize for completing the job you always receive experience points and coins, and the amount depends on the medal you got. You also get an additional item as a reward (you can see it when you move the cursor over the cup image). If you complete a Crafting type job, you'll get also bushels (see the chapter about goods exchange).
Co-op mission beginsAfter selecting a job (share the info about it with your friends), take a look at its status, which can be found in Active Jobs. You can check here the number of planted seeds (Seeded) and harvested crops (Harvested) both by you and your friends. It is a co-op mode, so we should cooperate. You can check also here how much time you have to complete the job or what reward you'll get after all is done. There is an option on the left side which you can use to ask for help on Facebook board and the other allows you to buy few more hours spending 15 Farm Cash. If you feel that the job is too much for you, you can always give up by clicking Quit Job.
In the same window you can see Friends bookmark, where you can check all your co-op friends and the number of crops they've already collected. By clicking Send Message you can try to stimulate them to work harder. You can also take a look at Message Board.
Two jobs are already started, let's join oneTo offer help in completing a job to your friend, you just have to check all available Jobs. If there is such one, it will have a Join symbol instead of Start, which of course allows you to join the team. This method works also for jobs, that are still blocked for us.
A Job History allows us to see the statistics of jobs we've already done or the achievements connected with these jobs (Ribbons).
Care of animals doesn't not necessary mean only collecting products relating to them, eg milk from cow. In FarmVille you can also become a dog's owner. You can purchase dogs at the beginning, but they are not so cheap though. But you'll gain a faithful friend in return, which follows you when you work on your farm, checks out every visiting friend farmer, makes some tricks and sometimes even helps with everyday activities.
There are many of dogs to chooseGo to the Market and then check the Animals / Pets bookmark. There are some decorative items but also a bunch of dogs. Note that only one, Border Collie, can be purchased with coins (300,000). Every other costs usually 65 Farm Cash, which in fact is a lot of money. You can also take an interest in small Terrier which costs 5,000 coins. You need to have 15 friends however to unlock this offer.
Click Buy and the new window will pop up where you can select the dog gender (Male or Female), its color or its name (it can't be changed later so think carefully).
This puppy probably got his ownerWith buying a puppy you duty list extends, while you have to feed it every day for 14 days. If you manage this, your puppy will turn into beautiful, matured dog. Your puppy eats a Puppy Kibble. If you buy one with Farm Cash, you'll be provided with 14 portions of Puppy Kibble, but if you buy a puppy for coins, you'll get only one portions of Puppy Kibble. You can buy extra portions at the Market for Farm Cash or ask you friends, while it can be also received as a gift. It is always a good idea to collect enough amount of Puppy Kibble before purchasing a puppy.
Puppy will love itYou shoud feed your puppy everyday and you can check the proper feeding time on a special watch visible on the game screen. If you forget to feed you puppy, do not worry (for now) - you'll get additional 24 hours to do it. But remember that there is a trick - if you feed your puppy at 20th hour of additional time for example, you'll have only 4 hours to feed it again. So as you can see, you have to be very punctual. If you are a bad owner, and you've purchased your puppy with coins, it may go to animal shelter. Then you can buy it back for few Farm Cash banknotes. If your puppy was purchased with Farm Cash, it will stay with you even when it's hungry.
Bad newsThe grown up dog doesn't need to be feed, but you can do it if you want (it's optional). And it doesn't like Puppy Kibble anymore, but prefers Dog Treats. Thanks to this fodder it can learn some tricks and even starts to help you with your farm duties.
This is not a guard dog for sureTake a look at a table below. You can see 3 basic dog tricks, which are always the same for each dog, independently of dog's breed. There is also one special skill, which will be describes later. You have to be very systematic while training your dog, giving it bones on a regular basis. If you forget to feed your dog one day, it will forget everything it has learned so far and you have to start teaching the trick from the start.

You'll have less and less space on your farm with every new items, buildings and other objects. Then you can decide to expand your borders, although it is not so easy and cheap.
You'll find all necessary tools to do it in the Upgrade Farm section. There are cards with pictures of small farms. Each of these upgrades can be purchased both with coins and Farm Cash banknotes. But to purchase an upgrade with coins, you have to have suitable number of neighbors.
On your way to plantationThere is on rule when it comes to upgrade your farm however. You can't purchase a bigger farm, unless you have a smaller one first. So if you want to have a Plantation for example, you need to purchase a Homestead, Family Farm and Big Family Farm first.

When you reach 10th experience level, a new icon appears in your interface. These are Collections, which can be found in the Ribbons submenu. Collections are sets of collectible items which can't be used to decorate your farm, but they can be traded for precious rewards.
Collectible items can be found by doing everyday tasks on your farm (plowing, harvesting, fertilizing). It is also possible that one of them can be hidden in the Mystery Egg. It is very hard to say when you can find a collectible item but you'll be informed about such event.
Collectors' heavenSome of collectibles can also be obtained via a friend's Wall post as gifts. There are collectibles in a gift list, which change every two days.
It is also good to check Facebook board systematically. Every time a player finds Uncommon or Rare item, he can share it on the Wall with 5 friends. When you complete a collection you can exchange it for additional experience, coins and fuel.
There are two Collections categories. The Permanent contains 6 sets and can be replenished with the game progress. Limited Time collections are non-permanent and last only for limited time period, usually several weeks. We'll talk only about Permanent sets.

Ribbons in FarmVille are nothing else as achievements in other games. Each achievement consists of 4 multicolored ribbons. The easiest to get is a yellow one, then we try to get white one, red one and most valuable - blue ribbon. Of course, each ribbon is harder to get. When you earns a ribbon, you'll receive a reward, which often contains coins and experience points, and sometimes a special gift related to the achievement.
To get most of them you just have to work hardExperience
