PlanetSide 2: Three Golden Rules of Being a Medic

PlanetSide 2

PlanetSide 2

Due to the fact that PlanetSide 2 is a combination of shooter and roleplaying game, there are a couple of different classes for you to choose from. Whether it’s the Engineer, the Infiltrator or the Heavy Assault - each and every character has his or her own perks.

One of the most stressful yet rewarding classes in this free-to-play MMOFPS is the Combat Medic. Choosing to be the healer comes with great responsibility, as everyone expects you to simultaneously keep allies alive, incapacitate enemy forces and always be the last man (or woman) standing. Here are three easy tips to get you started:

#1 - Level Up Your Applicator

Equipping the Medical Applicator not only makes it possible for you to heal other team members, but also bring them back to life. The more experience you gain, the better your character gets - just like in any other RPG. Leveling your weapon will help you pick up fallen soldiers almost instantly and decrease the overall downtime between battles.

#2 - Remember Your Calling

Without question, pulling the trigger and shooting up other players can be an exhilarating experience. While Combat Medics should never be underestimated when it comes to dealing massive damage, their main focus lies on supporting their squad. Sometimes you’re just gonna have to take a step back and give other players the chance to wreak havoc. And that's okay.

#3 - Adjust Your Weapons

In PlanetSide 2, your team relies on your expertise. In order to be victorious, you need to quickly assess a situation and react accordingly. Are you on your own? Then equip the assault rifle and prepare yourself for stealthy sneak attacks. You're with a group of people? Whip out your Applicator and get ready to restore as many health points as you can.
