Meet the Punk Zombie in Plants vs. Zombies 2

Every new world in Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduces new types of zombies. The Neon MixTape Tour is certainly no exception. One of the more challenging new types of walking dead is the so called Punk Zombie.

These nasty little punks are not particularly resilient. Neither are they particularly strong, nor fast. The problem is that they behave according to the background music. Whenever the beat drops, Punk Zombies start dancing and kicking away any plants that are in their way. When they reach the very end of the garden (or dancefloor in this case), they will kick your plants off the battleground. How can you defeat those pesky zombies?

Here's the Celery Stalker in Plants vs. Zombies 2.

Wall-Nuts and other forms of protective plants don’t make a lot of sense, since the punks will just kick them away. Instead, we recommend that players equip themselves with Stallias, as they don’t cost any sunlight and will slow them down. Additionally, positioning either Spikeweeds or Spikerocks makes a lot of sense as they can’t be kicked away. Dancing on spikes is not a lot of fun – even for Punk Zombies. Iceberg Lettuces will freeze them in an instant and also don’t require any sunlight. Luckily, players are rewarded with the Celery Stalker when completing level 5. This nifty little fellow buries himself underground when a zombie approaches. As soon as the walking dead passed, he will come shooting up and attack it from behind.

Any combination of these plants should guarantee that you easily defeat the Punk Zombies.
