Deus Ex – Human Revolution: How to Get the Ball Achievement / Trophy

In Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PS3 and Xbox 360, there is a secret achievement and secret trophy called Balls, which you get by simply making a basket at the basketball court in Detroit City.

You’ll find the basketball court near the apartment buildings. Pick up the basketball with X on Xbox 360 or Square on PS3, and throw it with RB on Xbox 360, or R1 on PS3. You’ll notice fairly quickly that trying to shoot the ball at the angle you would normally shoot a basketball won’t work very well, because the physics of the game makes the ball a bit too bouncy.

The best way to make a basket is to back up as far as you can, and aim way up. I used the bricks on the building behind the goal as a guide.

Something else that may help, it doesn’t matter if the ball hits the ground and bounces back up. I actually got the achievement this way because I aimed way too high, so it came down short, bounced back up and went in.
