BioShock Infinite Guide - Telescope & Kinetoscope Locations (Sightseer Achievement / Trophy)

The “Sightseer” Achievement / Trophy

Scattered throughout BioShock Infinite are a number of Telescopes and Kinetoscopes. The former allow you to take a look at the various vistas and scenery of Columbia, while Kinetoscopes are designed to play a short movie reel.

Welcome Center

Kinetoscope 1 (Father Comstock’s Gift of Prophecy): In Hudson’s clothing store, by the front counter.

Kinetoscope 2 (Beware the False Shepherd): Look for a grocery store after you see the aerial parade. Adjacent to a False Shepherd poster, you’ll find a kinetoscope.
Telescope 1: After receiving the telegram from Lutece, look to Booker’s left.

Kinetoscope 3 (The Envoy of All his Peers): Right before you reach the street fair, look at the fairground gates. You’ll see a kinetoscope nearby.

Comstock Center Rooftops

Kinetoscopes 4-6 (A Look Back at Opening Day; The Prophet Stands up to Foes, Within and Without; We Secede From the So-Called Union):  All three of these kinetoscopes are in the tavern; one of the first room of the Comstock Center Rooftops.

Kinetoscope 7 (Danger on All Sides): Go past the Montgomery Residence, and you’ll see a white shack to the side of the pit where the stage show is being held. The Kinetoscope will be behind the shack.

Telescope 2: After leaving the Fraternal Order of the Raven, Booker will find himself on a flying police barge. There will be a telescope at one end of it.

Monument Island Gateway

Kinetoscope 8 (Uncanny Mystery in Columbia…): Before you enter the Monument Island Gateway, look around the entrance hall, and make your way to the side of the hall where there are no vending machines.

Telescope 3: This one’s a bit of a tricky one to catch. While doing the Skyrail tutorial, stop at the “Monument Tower Maintenance” platform (it’s lit by a blue light). You’ll find a telescope right at the edge of where you dismount.

Battleship Bay

Kinetoscope 9 (Battleship Bay): Look inside the maintenance building between the first and second half of the beach. You’ll find a Kinetoscope in the hallway.

Kinetoscope 10 (Solving the Irish Problem): While in the amusement center, go past the restrooms to find this one at the end of a long hallway.

Telescope 4: At some point, you’ll find yourself on a trolley ride with Elizabeth. Once you get off at the end of this trolley ride you'll be on the map junction to Soldier’s Field. This observation platform should hold your telescope.

Soldier’s Field

Kinetoscope 11 (A City in the Sky? Impossible!): In the Welcome Center for Soldier’s Field, in the same room as the scale model of Columbia City.

Kinetoscope 12 (Mighty Songbird Patrols the Skies!): While on the boardwalk, seek out the Dimwit and Duke Ice Cream and Soda Shop. There should be a Kinetoscope just outside the front door.

En Route to Hall of Heroes

Kinetoscope 13 (Who are the Vox Populi?): Look for the building with the cannon monument on the ground floor. The Kinetoscope will be right nearby.

Kinetoscope 14 (Who Needs the Power Company?): Just before you enter the Hall of Heroes, to one side of the porch.

Hall of Heroes Gift Shop

Kinetoscope 15 and 16 (Behold the Miracle Child! A Prophect Fulfilled!; The Lamb is the Future of Our City): Just after Booker gains the ability to open dimensional tears, he’ll find himself in a circular room with two vending machines. These two Kinetoscopes will also be present – it’s almost impossible to miss either of them.

Kinetoscope 17 (A City Mourns…): Within the Gift Look for the Gift Shop’s counter. The Kinetoscope is standing right beside it.

Fort Franklin Pier

Telescope 5: After rescuing and regrouping with Elizabeth, look next to the stopped trolley at the station platform.

Worker Induction Center

Kinetoscope 18 (The Path of the Vox Populi): In the entrance of the Induction Center. You can’t miss it.

Good Time Club

Kinetoscope 19 (Crime Comes to Shanty Town): Atop the first set of stairs on a landing. Again, this one is right out in plain sight.

Kinetoscope 20 (The First Lady): On the club’s lower floor, next to a vending machine.

Kinetoscope 21 (Gun Smith Set Free!):  After travelling through the tear and returning to the entrance, look at the spot where the “Crime Comes to Shanty Town” Kinetoscope was positioned.

Shanty Town

Telescope 6: Across from the front entrance of the impound building, you’ll see a number of freight hooks. Scale these up to a balcony, and you’ll find both this telescope and a sniper rifle.

Bull House Impound

Kinetoscope 22 (Fitzroy Spotted!): Inside one of the side offices just inside the front entrance of the impound facility.

The Factory

Telescope 7: After fighting off the Vox Populi and a nearby Handyman, look for an ethereal Tesla Coil next to a bulb. The telescope is just past the light bulb, near the railing of the platform.

Kinetoscope 23 (Columbia to Sterilize Dimwits and Defectives!): At the end of the Factory, right before you fight Jeremiah Fink. Again, this one’s pretty hard to miss - it’s between the tear and near a collection of electronic equipment.

Port Prosperity

Telescope 8: Right next to the trolley that takes you to Port Prosperity.

Kinetoscope 24 (Lutece’s Brother Arrives): You’ll need a few lockpicks to break into the Salty Oyster Restaurant. You’ll find the Kinetoscope In the washrooms towards the back of the establishment.

Downtown Emporia

Telescope 9: To the right of Comstock Gate. Follow the street past the gate, and then turn left to find your way to the telescope.

The Atrium

Kinetoscope 25 (Sunrise): After encountering the second Boy of Silence, move away from the objective to track down this one – it’s near one of the columns of the Sanitorium.

Warden’s Office

Kinetoscope 26 (Hummingbirds): Once you’ve gotten past the two gun turrets in the Warden’s Tower, look around the hallway. You should find this one just before entering into a room filled with motorized patriot heads.

Kinetoscope 27 (Battleships Falls): At one point, you’ll find yourself passing through a quaint, comfortable looking living room with two old security cameras. Keep your eyes peeled  - the Kinetoscope is at the end of a nearby hallway.

Hand of the Prophet (Dock):

Telescope 10: The game’s final telescope is right next to the police barge which is used to reach Comstock’s airship.
