F-24 Stealth Fighter review

F-24? What ever happened to Fs 1 through 23? Ho ho. Why begin with some light-hearted jesting? After just one minute with Stealth Fighter, it’s clear that it was intended as some form of joke, so we thought we’d play along.

With its clanging synth rock theme tune (so macho our DS began to grow a beard) and vague “Middle Eastern” terrorists, it’s as if Majesco’s knowledge of fighter jets is based on a single viewing of Top Gun that one of the team members had 15 years ago, or at least long enough to forget that the film featured actual action to go along with the macho posturing.

Piloting the plane is a chore. The cockpit interior is laid out on the touch screen and the stylus is used to manipulate the controls as you would if flying with actual hands, except the single stylus only gives you one hand - in Majesco’s world the Air Force is clearly less picky over presence of limbs than the real one.
