Waiting for Windows 10 Mobile, hoping for Apple to run the country, reviewing your year on Facebook, playing Threes in your Web browser, and making Netflix Socks for sleepyheads.
Windows 10 Mobile will not be rolled out to Windows Phone handsets until next year, with Microsoft stating the upgrades have been pushed back until “early 2016.” Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile Build 10586 to those on the Windows Insider Program, but that will be the last build released until January.
This means that while anyone buying a new Lumia 950, Lumia 950XL, or Lumia 550 can start using Windows 10 Mobile right away, anyone using a handset running Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 8.1 will have to wait a while longer. How much longer remains unclear, but Microsoft seems determined to get this upgrade right first time.
Windows Phone owners who are growing impatient at the lack of upgrades can join the Windows Insider Program. However, Microsoft clearly thinks Windows Phone users aren’t quite ready for Windows 10 Mobile, so only the brave souls with a certain level of technical knowledge should take that risk.
Around 33 percent of Americans think Apple should be running the country. Kinda. Of the 1,000 people questioned for a survey by RBB Communications, a third suggested Apple would be the best company to take over the reins of government. Walt Disney came second on 28%, with American Express on 18%, Facebook on 11%, and Starbucks on 10%.
It should be noted that these results weren’t gathered from asking a particularly open question. Instead, as noted by CNET, RBB asked, “Which of the following companies would do the best job if they were to take over operations of the U.S. Government?” So, people not only had to choose a company, but one from a pre-determined list.
However, this is still a surprising result which would see Apple CEO Tim Cook installed as President of the United States of America. As unlikely as that scenario may be, it’s no more unlikely than Donald Trump holding a position of power. Trump wants to close parts of the Internet, but the worst thing Cook would do is force us all to use iPhones and iPads to get online.

As you may have already noticed, Facebook has rolled out its Your Year In Review feature for 2015. This presents each user with a set of 10 photos uploaded to the site over the past 12 months. The idea being that these represent 2015 as it was for you personally.
Your Year In Review only really works if you either upload or are tagged in a lot of photos. And even if that is the case Facebook may still get it wrong. Users complained last year of photos of exes and deceased relatives being featured, depressing some sensitive souls.
This year, however, Facebook has made changes designed to prevent something similar occurring. According to TechCrunch, the social network has “applied a unique set of filters” to stop such photos from appearing. And if they still get through you can remove, edit, or replace any photos in Your Year In Review.

Threes is a simple concept that will drive you to distraction and frustrate you on every turn. So much so, I’d recommend finishing work before even thinking about playing it. Because your productivity will take a massive hit. And your stress levels will increase.
You score big by combining the multiples of three into larger numbers, doing so until you run out of moves. Having played the Web version for 20 minutes I managed a high score of 492. Which sucks. So, give it a go and see if you can do any better, and post your results in the comments.
And finally, of all the world’s problems, falling asleep while binge-watching Netflix may just be the biggest. Curing cancer and stopping terrorism surely pale into insignificance when compared to missing your favorite show because you fell asleep on the sofa. Right?
