I’m going to tell you something that might come as a bit of shock: going to outer space is expensive!

Okay not that we have that shocking little piece of information out of the way, let’s take a look at just how expensive space travel actually is. While video games like Kerbal Space Program give us a small peak into the complicated world of getting things out of Earth’s atmosphere and into space, it really doesn’t do it justice.
