To master the game of Hearthstone is to know it. Like any CCG, knowing every possibility that could be dropped on the board in front of you is essential in establishing yourself as a quality player.
The best way to improve at Hearthstone is through trial and error by playing the game consistently, but it helps to read and study up. You need to know what cards are popular, who is playing them, and what you can do to play effectively against these strategies. To know these things, you have to go to the Hearthstone community. Here are the seven websites that I’d recommend to you.
With all other alternatives taken into consideration, HeathPwn is by far the best resource when you want to stay updated with what’s going on in the world of Hearthstone.
HearthPwn is a part of the Curse network of sites and the features they’ve got on this site are amazing. The cards and deck indexes are great, but those are common on sites of this kind. HearthPwn really stands out with their Deck Builder and Arena simulator. Both of these areas of the website allow you to practically simulate everything that you’d do within the Hearthstone client through a web interface. It’s very fluid, and I promise that if you work with these two features and study your cards, you will improve as a player.
If you’ve played World of Warcraft, you’ve almost definitely heard of Wowhead. Hearthhead is from the same developers.
Although I am unsure which website came first, Hearthhead is practically a rebranding of HearthPwn. Both of these websites feature deck builders and arena practices or simulators, I just personally feel that HearthPwn presents itself much better. However, Hearthhead does have a different selection of guides and the interface may appeal to certain people more than an alternative. It’s always nice to have a choice.
Like every other popular game in the present time, Hearthstone has a very active and important subreddit (check out our Reddit guide to learn for on using the site).
The Hearthstone subreddit is a great place to go for some alternative discussion. In this subreddit, you’ll find interesting discussions based around the strengths and weaknesses of certain cards, YouTube videos that show awesome draws and plays, suggestions on how to improve the beta experience, and more. Learning based on the experiences of others may be the best way to master Hearthstone, and keeping track of this subreddit makes that a pretty easy task.
BlizzPro offers an entire network of sites that help players get the best experience out of the gameplay of all of Blizzard’s titles. Hearthstone is no exception.
I personally don’t feel very attracted to BlizzPro’s guides or deck lists, but one thing that this website really does extremely well is present news and discussions. Their card vs. card strategy articles are excellent. They also feature articles that really hone in on one specific card and go in-depth to explore its strategic advantages and disadvantages. There are better places to go for deck lists, but BlizzPro does a great job at writing content.
2P doesn’t offer the best or most popular Hearthstone site out there, but it’s a very complete one that offers a ton of content.
The site features news, guides, card lists, deck building recommendations, videos, a screenshot gallery, forums, and more. 2P’s Hearthstone hub has a really unique navigation to it where almost all of their newest content from every part of the site is displayed on the main page. You might prefer this style of navigation over other sites in this list.
Wikia offers free community wikis, and just about every online game that is relevant has one that is crammed full of information.
The Hearthstone wiki is an awesome place to go if you’re looking for the most detailed specifics about parts of the game, such as the classes, play modes, or individual cards themselves. This wiki is completely run by the Heartstone player community, so it’s frequently and quickly updated with fresh information after patches. If you’re a newer player and the other websites that I’ve listed here come off as a little confusing or intimidating, try out Hearthstone’s Wikia page.
Liquid Hearth is by far the most well-known and interactive Hearthstone community that has popped up so far in the game’s early stages.
Liquid Hearth’s main attraction is their forum. Other than the Hearthstone subreddit, Liquid Hearth’s community is by far the most active. Liquid Hearth otherwise features community and game news, featured articles that include well-respected tier lists and deck guides, featured blogs from some of the game’s most experienced players, videos that highlight tournament and competitive play, and more.
