Android Apps on Sale, 4 April: Humble Bundle 9 And Games You Need To Touch

Each week we scour current Google Play promotions and cherry-pick the best of the best. This week we have the Humble Bundle, as well as two games you simply have to touch.

Because app sales are temporary affairs, by the time you read this, these may no longer be on sale. Worry not: Simply check back next week for some more Android deals!

First Things First: Humble Bundle PC 9 For PC and Android

The most important sale you have to know about this week is the Humble Bundle 9. Pay what you want and get Broken Sword 2, Bridge Constructor, Type:Rider, and Ravensword: Shadowlands. Pay over the average (around $4 at the time of this writing), and you’ll unlock Kingdom Rush and Knights of Pen and Paper +1 edition.

Out of all of these, my absolute favorite is Type:Rider. That’s the game that made me get the bundle, so here’s its beautiful video:

Now, on to Play Store sales, starting with some awesome games.

Games

Riptide GP2($2.99, now $1.99)

With a 4.6-star average coming from over 15,000 reviews, Riptide GP2 is one of the best-known racing games on Android. You race a rocket-powered hydro jet, so there’s lots of bobbing and weaving around — it’s not just the graphics, but also the physics that cause this game to feel different from a traditional car racer.

Luxuria Superbia($3.99, now $1.99)

One of the more risqué games we’ve recently featured, and yet there’s nothing naughty about Luxuria Superbia’s graphics: They’re perfectly tame and abstract. Where the game gets interesting is in the interaction: To make progress, you’ll have to… well, strategically stroke your screen. I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination, but this is one of the more intriguing mobile games around and it’s made quite a splash.

Atomus HD($1.92, now $0.99)

More of a toy than a game, Atomus HD is a mesmerizing particle playground. The video above shows it best: It’s long, but there’s something hypnotizing about seeing those particles fly around the screen and respond to the touch like a flock of trained pixels.

Apps

PixelPhone PRO($4.99, now $0.99)

PixelPhone

From the Humble Bundle and the aforementioned bunch of exciting games, we switch to… a dialer! Yay! Okay, so PixelPhone Pro is not the most exciting app around, but judging by its 4.6-star average that comes from over 10,500 reviews, it gets the job done. If you are not fully satisfied with your phone’s existing dialer, you may want to give PixelPhone a shot. It lets you display contacts in alphabetical groups, woah!

Beautiful Widgets Pro($2.69, now $1.37)

One of the best-known weather widgets around, Beautiful Widgets Pro can also work as a world clock and show the local time and weather for different cities. It has downloadable themes, multiple widget sizes, and more.

Tune in next week for some more great Android deals! And of course, feel free to share your finds and favorites in the comments below.
