Error code 53

There are a few thing to be done which will help to sort the Error code 53. First of all verify game cache, then  disable the antivirus and firewall programs. If you are still getting the error, then select Sniper Elite 3 from Steam Library. Right click on SniperElite3.exe > Properties > Launch options and then type /dxadapter=0

To improve performance and in-game graphics quality, use the Steam launcher option for Sniper Elite 3:

Freezing and GPU Overheating issue

Try to turnoff supersampling and tesselation if the issue still persists run the game in windowed mode. Press Alt+Enter to run Sniper Elite 3in windowed mode.

Empty Multiplayer Lobby

Run Sniper Elite 3 without filters, it will completely solve your issue.

'Busy Writing to Disk' error

This error message takes a long time to disappear, all you have to do is wait for it go away. You see this message because Steam is decrypting the preloaded files.

Refresh rate issue

If you are not able to change the refresh rate and it is stuck at 60Hz, go to your Steam library and right-click on Sniper Elite 3 > Properties
Go to General tab and select Set Launch Options, now type "-Hz=(desired refresh rate)" in the pop up box and click Ok. Close the window and launch the game from Steam.
