Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin arrived in the market with two different versions, one is the DirectX 9 version and the other is DirectX 11 version. The Dx11 version costs full ten dollars more than the DX9 version.
The developers claim that the DX11 will have improved graphics, more weapons and other type of extra content. But are there actually any major differences between the two versions for which gamers are made to pay more?
We cant deny that there are some graphical differences in the two versions of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. But these difference are not major or which would completely justify the amount of extra money that the gamers are paying.
To start with, DirectX 11 version has better particle effects, gorgeous blue glow and plenty of orange fire. This version has a better texture overall for example your armour look much cleaner and intense.
But lighting effects on this version are a big time let down, the areas with less light are much more darker now (e.g. area above the bonfire in the Forest) making it difficult to see and the areas with more light are much more brighter (ledge above Cardindal Tower), again making it difficult to see!
