I don't know how to play the Pokemon TCG because my dad only buys me Pokemon cards on Saturday and Sundays but sometimes he's so tired from the weekends. Do you have any advice? Also, where is the Pokemon Trading Card Game league?

If you only get a few Pokemon cards a week, but want to collect 'em all like a Master Trainer, the trick is to know how to trade smart so you get good deals. Here are tips on building your Pokemon card collection:
Some Pokemon cards are harder to get than others, the easiest are the Common cards, Uncommon cards are harder and Rare cards are the hardest. A little icon in the bottom-right corner of the card will tell you what kind your card is. Cards with a circle are common, squares are on uncommon and stars are on `rare cards. There are also foil cards and other special cards that are worth more.
The trick to becoming a Pokemon Master Trainer is to know all the cards and the best way to do that is to grab some magazines and start reading. Inquest, Duelist and Scrye are three magazines that will really help you to master the cards. Then, once you know the cards, you can plan a winning strategy and start trading.
If you're just starting out, you're best to trade your rare cards to load up on cards that you'll need to build a strong Pokemon TCG deck. Find someone who is looking for really rare cards and who already has lots of cards. If you have a rare card that they don't have, you can trade with them and get lots of good cards for your one card.
